Ai Zhiyi also sympathized when he heard the news about Chu Weixu's mother's condition. After all, he considered Chu Weixu's family as his and vice versa. Even though most of their family resented their relationship back then, Ai Zhiyi couldn't be evil not to grieve.

How they fled was adequate to prove that they had once rebelled within their family to maintain the relationship they believed in. Meanhile, cursing their parents for just past disagreements, they were sane enough to call that a despicable act.

They were overly screwy not to apologize to their families, but it didn't mean that they held a grudge for what they got in the past.

Ai Zhiyi then clasped Chu Weixu's hand as if he was trying to strengthen him even without saying something directly to him.
