Chapter 19: New End (part 1)

After having a chat with Angelica. I went to the training grounds to see Ryoto there. He was training with his two swords, and from what I could see is that he has definitely become much stronger since the last time we fought.

"Sup Ryoto."

"Ah, good afternoon Akamine-sama."

I pulled out my sword from the inventory and I said.

"Why don't we spar for a little?"

Ryoto was a bit shocked at first because he knows that in the whole party I'm the weakest... but then he remembered his defeat by my hands.

"I accept, but what are the rules?"

I thought about it for a second then I answered him.

"First to get hit loses."

Ryoto nodded and readied himself. So did I.

"3... 2... 1... Go."

Ryoto vanished from my sight, and He reappeared right in front of me. With a loud *clang* our blades collided.

"You have grown stronger Akamine-sama!"

Ryoto then tried to kick me, but I immediately backed off to avoid it.

"Heh, of course I grew stronger, I don't want to be some deadweight to the party when we're fighting against strong bad guys!"

I focused on the blade, holding the sword in two hands, then it was set ablaze, I dashed on towards the surprised Ryoto and slashed him.

*Clang* neither of us are backing down, in the series of slashes that was happening, I caught a smirk appear on Ryoto's face. And I immediately backed off 30ft.

"What's wrong Akamine-sama?"

"Nothing."

I blinked and then Ryoto's blade was now touching my cheek grazing me.

"I admit defeat."

I sheathed my sword and so did Ryoto.

"Why didn't you use any magic Akamine-sama?"

"Well, it's because I wanted to test out my strength."

I went up to Ryoto and patted him on the back and I said.

"I must admit, you've become a beast since the last time we fought."

I then went pass him going back inside the castle as it was now evening. Now that I've noticed it why have the been so quite. I went to the dining hall to grab somethings to eat before heading back to my room. I then sent a message in the party chat

Rai- Where are you guys?

Chieko- Well I'm with Midori and Kayda, doing some training in the forest.

Yuki- I'm with Zei in the library, trying to find clues if the 'Azure Dragon' even existed.

I was shocked for a moment, the 'Azure Dragon' in which we are tasked to kill is non existent.

Rai- Well do your best. I'm gonna go and hit the sack early.

Zei- Hey before you sleep, does your supporters know anything about the 'Azure Dragon'.

Rai- No... in fact they've been rather silent lately.

Zei- Anyways good night Rai. We'll try to find more information about this thing.

I entered my room and closed the door, I looked at my inventory to see an angel's feather belonging to Barachiel. Thoughts came into my mind telling me to summon her but then a message came.

[The '???' Is saying don't worry they're probably having a meeting up in 'Shamayim']

I laid down my bed. And thought to myself.

'I've always wanted to know your name'

Eh he replied, that was rather unexpected to be honest. I'll just sleep and try to figure things out tomorrow, or I could practice magic.

I stood up and I positioned myself as if I was holding a bow that was about to shoot. I closed my eyes and I imagined an arrow made out of light.

When I opened my eyes, A blinding ray of light was being emitted by my hands, I released the light and was shot to the stone wall going through it.

"Damn, it went right through and melted the wall."

I then try to manipulate my shadow and it worked although it could only lift something around 3kg.

I went to the window and opened it. I was hit by a gentle breeze of the cold night air.

Without any information on the 'Azure Dragon' we must depart sooner than expected so that the damage it'll cause will only be to a minimal degree.

I closed the window and head straight to bed. I immediately went to sleep and what greets me is pure darkness.

Chieko was running along the branches of the trees, trying to shoot down a boar with a body as hard as a boulder, as large as an elephant. It also has 4 tusks that could withstand blows from Midori's attacks.

"Oh 'Goddess of the Hunt and Moon' guide my arrows to its weak points."

As Chieko released the string, the arrow which was enchanted glowed in a blue hue and started changing trajectory mid flight hitting it on its knees.

The Boar squealed in pain as it was shot, then Midori followed with a series of slashes.

"Damnit, the hide is too tough!"

"I'll handle it master Midori!"

Kayda jumped towards its side and slashed it across the stomach causing it to squeal even more, but it didn't work as the huge great sword was stuck in the middle of the stomach.

With a loud 'Thud' the beast was back on its feet and charged at Kayda.

"Dodge it Kayda!"

"Raaaggghhhh!!!"

Scales grew from Kayda's arms and cheeks, and a tail grew behind her. She faced the beast's charge head on, pushing her back, but she eventually forces it to a stalemate.

Chieko leapt in to the air, with the moon behind her. Chieko's hair turned blue and her eye color turned to an amber yellow.

The arrow glowing in an ambient blue color was shot, then dozens of blue arrows also appeared around the original arrow. Piercing the beast's back. But it's still not enough.

"Midori-chi kill it!"

Midori was behind the beast with her holding the sword in two hands, and an aura of gold surrounding her.

[The 'Heavenly Sword' is grinning at the sight]

"Heavenly king's first blade, [Earth Splitter]."

The Beast was cut perfectly in half and everyone sighed in relief, the scales and tail that were on Kayda were now gone, so as Chieko's blue hair and amber eyes.

Kayda smiled and Midori just sighed. To begin with the one who spawned in the monster was Kayda's supporter.

"Awww, my great sword is broken."

Midori went up to the carcass and took its tusks.

"We could make a new one with these."

"Phew, we almost didn't make it."

The 3 of them sat down and took a break, Midori looked around to see how much damage they did, the damage caused by the fight is like a tornado going through a forest.

"We'll head back after we take a short rest."

Kayda spoke up.

"Sorry masters Chieko, and Midori. I never thought that mother would spawn such a beast."

Chieko then shout in surprise.

"I still can't believe that 'the' 'Tiamat' is your mom!"

"Ehehe, well I'm sorry for not telling guys earlier."

Midori then stood up, and said.

"Well, if you guys still have enough energy let's head back home."

Chieko sighed as she stood up, and was followed by Kayda who was excited to go back. And they went back home.

The moon was shining bright in the sky, as there were 2 people reading books in library.

"Zei, we should get some rest."

Zei looked at Yuki with crazed eyes. She then said.

"I don't need sleep, I need answers."

Yuki sighed and then he said as he was going out of the room.

"Well after finding the answer that you want you should take a rest, as for me I'll go back first."

Zei ignored Yuki as she continued on her research, and Yuki just walked away leaving the library.

"I know you're there."

[The 'Mage of the End' is looking at his 'Vessel']

Zei closed the book she was reading and put it back in the shelves and said.

"Could you tell me what that dragon is?"

Zei is in a dilemma, a being who's already on the world type appearing out of nowhere, but 'Igneous' the red dragon she fought together with Rai is only in the main but hidden.

Zei was shocked to hear that. This'll be the first time they're gonna go fight something without information.

Zei got shivers down her spine as to what's to come and dangers that lies ahead of their party.
