Chapter 121: Lost (part 4)

Midori had to carry the two of us up the mountain, much to her disapproval. She carried me over her shoulder and carried Chen Yuze like luggage. She climbed up the mountain and there was stark silence in the air.

"Thanks for fetching us Midori."

"I give you my thanks as well."

Midori didn't respond and just continued climbing the steep steps of Mt. Hua. I looked down at Chen Yuze and she looked back up at me with a sheepish grin. Our recovery rate was slow, though we can walk now with help from one another.

"Midori, we can walk, so please let us down."

Midori ignored my request and just kept on walking with a straight face. Chen Yuze tried prying off the arm around her waist, but to no avail.

"At least let me go."

But when Chen Yuze requested Midori, she let go of her, making her almost fall off the mountainside, barely balancing herself on the edge of the stairs without a second thought.

"Midori, are you mad?"
