Red was working in the kitchen preparing some lettuce for salads, she then heard a couple of her coworkers who work the front of the store screaming and yelling "somebody shooting" Red suddenly stop what she was doing and got on the ground where she waited for awhile scared cause she didn't know what was going on. As things started to quiet down Red went to the front to see what was going on and found out from one of her coworkers that, that same black escalade had came back. Red intuitively knew the truck was after her since it was circling the building around the time she first came to work. Red manager told everyone to go home early for the day while they figure out what was going on with the police. When Red went to her truck she seen a note on her car and when she opened it a couple of cards fell out, one was a Joker and the other was an Ace, the note had read, "Dear Red, please forgive the things that are being said but the black SUV was after your head because I'm afraid of losing you, I'd rather see you dead" Red took the note and got in her car and sped off. When Red finally arrived home she tried going to sleep because her anxiety was acting up due to the trauma she dealt with from what happened at her job but she couldn't go. Red then called Jonathan to let him know what happened but he never answered. Red decides not to tell her mom what happened because she knew she would overreact so she decides to keep what happened to herself hoping the situation would die down. The next day Red called her manager trying to figure out if it was ok to return back to work and her manager told her no because it was still unsafe since they never found out who the culprit was and that he was gone let her know when it would be ok. Red was so traumatized after that event because she knew the shooter was after her and could strike again at any moment. So the first step for Red to free herself from that burden was to solve the mystery of who the shooter was that was after her and why they was after her. Red decided to keep it a secret from her family that the shooter was after her but goes to the police to see if they could help her investigate the issue. Red goes to the police station the next day to start an investigation but while the police came to question her about what happened Red noticed some red flags that made her not trust those cops. Ms. Lopez, the cop that Red had talked too told her that her manager had already started an investigation about the issue so there was no reason for her to start one as well. Then the cop had told her that she had no reason to worry because the evidence was pointed more towards a store robbery than a hit and run, despite Red telling Ms. Lopez about the note that was left on her vehicle. Red then moves on from talking to the police about the situation so she then try to investigate the issue herself. Red starts to remember the fact she haven't talked to her boyfriend in two days since she tried to call him to let him know about what had happened. Red tries to call her boyfriend again to see what the deal was and he still didn't answer, Jonathan then text Red saying "wassup, my phone been off." Red felt some type of way by the lack of interest her boyfriend had despite them not talking to each other in a couple days so she decides not to text him back and tell him what had happened to her. Red goes home and start to do some deep thinking on why the police didn't take her serious about the shooter, she then starts to suspect the police knew way more than what was being said. Red decides to go to the park to clear her mind about everything that's been going on around her for the past few days. Someone suddenly calls Red out the blue from a restricted number, Red was hesitate answering the phone call at first but curiosity got the best of her so she decides to answer. "Hello Red" a strange, unfamiliar voice had echoed through the phone. "I don't wanna hold you on too long, so I'm going to keep this message short and broad. I applaud, you dodged a hit that was coming at you headstrong. Don't get too comfortable cause the second hit won't be prolonged. The next one will be coming at you strong!" Red immediately hung her phone up after hearing that message from the unknown caller. Red anxiety then started to take effect with heavy breathing and the overthinking. Red then dropped down to her knees, with tears flowing down her eyes; wondering how did her life just take a huge left. Red then got up from having an emotional breakdown and decided to leave the park, when she arrived home the same black escalade was parked in her yard. Red was so shocked to see the black SUV in her yard of all places, wondering where her parents were at. Red decided to drive to the nearby store to call her mom to see what was going on. When Red mom answered the phone she asked Red where she was and told her she had company. Red immediately asked her mom who was it and she had told her to come see for herself. Red then started to drive back home and asked her mom what did they want with her, Red mom was hesitate to answer at first but Red then heard someone in the background talking really low. "Who was that asking about me mom?" Red had asked her mom after hearing someone asking about her whereabouts. Red mom then told Red that she didn't ask her visitors any details and if she wanted more answers she had to come see for herself and abruptly hunged up the phone in Red's face.
