Nana Seling [PART 1]

(continuation of Chapter VI: Girl In the Dark Forest)

The three have been walking for a while now and are getting nearer to the village yet the awkward atmosphere is exacerbated by the deafening silence. Troye is leading the way while Dazaree is behind him while Fablo is behind her.

She feels like she's a hostage because of the look Fablo is giving her from behind. It is obvious that the man doesn't trust her and she understands that.

Although it is giving her a very strange awkward feeling, she knows that she must bear it. Dazaree believes that they are kind people because Kithe wouldn't let her go with them if they aren't and she trusts Kithe.

For some unknown reason, cold sweat starts streaming down her neck and head as her eyes start hurting. She rubbed it using the back of her hands but it's useless. Although it is night, she's sure that her eyes are becoming weird.

Suddenly, her vision started getting blurry as if she was losing her sight. She continuously rubs it with her hands making her steps slower that the two men immediately noticed.

Fablo and Troye looked at each other as they both think that something is wrong with Dazaree. All of them stopped and asked her what's wrong but the woman doesn't seem to hear them.

At that same time, Dazaree feels her body weakening gradually causing her to almost drop on the ground but Fablo immediately caught her.

"Dazaree?" they shook her shoulders but the woman wouldn't respond. It was as if she's a lifeless doll and it's all very sudden.

Meanwhile, Dazaree heard someone called her name.

"Daze."

It's not Troye nor Fablo because the voice comes from a woman. It's a very familiar soft voice but she doesn't remember where she heard it before.

"Dazee..."

That same voice called her name again. The voice was so soothing that she wanted to sleep more and enjoy the cozy feeling from the soft bed she's in.

"Dazee…"

Dazaree feels like all the aching in her head vanished because of this voice. She wonders who that woman is but she couldn't remember anything.

Who could that woman be? she thought. Perhaps if she saw her face, she will remember but her eyes feel so heavy that she couldn't open her eyes.

"Daz, wake up..."

Finally, she was able to slightly open her eyes and a woman appeared in front of her. Her face was obscured by haze making her face blurry.

She's not sure why, but she's very familiar with her voice and the clothes she's wearing, and all she knows is that she's as lovely as a full moon on a dark night. She's shaking my shoulders in an attempt to wake me up.

"We have to leave now!" a stern voice of a man suddenly yelled. His masculine figure can be seen not so far away from Dazaree.

She doesn't have any clue about what is happening nor who are the people in front of her because everything else is dull and blurry.

Suddenly, the scene became intense and chaotic as she hears the sounds of breaking pieces of furniture.

"He's coming! Hurry!"

Suddenly she heard gunshots as the woman held her hand and pull her out of the bed. And before she could find out what exactly was happening, she heard another voice calling her name.

"Dazaree?"

Dazaree slowly opened her eyes and saw Troye beside her. He touched her forehead to check on her temperature and sighed in relief.

"Your temperature is normal now," he said.

She looked around and analyzed the unfamiliar room she's in. "How did I get here and how long was I asleep?"

"About 20 hours," Troye answered and stood up from sitting on the side of the bed.

Dazaree's eyes widened and immediately sat on the bed. "What? That long?" she exclaimed.

"Yep." He simply answered.

She touched her face and queried, "What happened to me?"

The last thing that she can remember was when they were walking in the forest.

"You lost your consciousness because you're burning hot. I thought you wouldn't wake up. Good thing Nana Seling helped us make your temperature lower," He explained and took the basin of water on the bedside table.

"Nana Seling?"

He cleaned up the water leak on the table before speaking. "She's the owner of this apartment. We can't take you to our room full of boys. Gladly she took you in and let you rest in this room."

"By the way, you can use this comfort room," he added and pointed the door in the left part of the room next to a cabinet.

Troye suddenly remembered the food he brought earlier and said, "I will just go to our room and bring you some food."

He was about to leave the room when Dazaree called him, "Troye."

"Yes?" he said and turned.

She formed a smile on her lips and said, "Thank you so much for taking care of me. I can't thank you all enough for all the good things you did for me. One day I will be able to repay you for your kindness."

Dazaree is so grateful that she met Troye and Fablo in the woods because if it weren't for them, she might still be in the woods right now.

Troye beamed at her and said, "I really don't know what to say," and chuckled. "Anyone will do what we did and you don't have to worry about it so just rest." He is truly a good person.

The moment he left, Dazaree leaned her back on the pillow and looked around the room that was painted white and decorated with green plants in pots, giving it a cozy and soothing appearance.

This room appears to be quite empty, which is most likely because no one is using it. The bedsheets and curtains are both plain light green. She feels sad that she can't stay here knowing she can't pay for the rent because she is still a high school student. If she could only find a part time job somewhere here in this town.

"Will someone accept me though? I have to try. I don't want to be a burden to Troye and Fablo forever," she mumbled.

Not long after Troye left, someone knocked on the door three times leaving her confused and thought that it might be Troye again.

"Come in," she said.

To her surprise, it wasn't Troye but Fablo. He entered the room with a grumpy face while holding a tray of food. It appears that he doesn't want what he is doing.

"Troye asked me." He simply said and placed the tray on her bedside table. Troye met him inside their apartment and asked him to bring her the food because he forgot to do something. Fablo couldn't say no because Troye already left.

"A-ahm thank you," Dazaree said awkwardly. She appreciates him doing this though knowing he doesn't trust her. He still made an effort to bring this to her even though he have a choice not to.

"Ok." He coldly said but before he leaves the room he turned around and looked at her with his sharp eyes.

"I'm watching you. Remember that." He said in a serious tone that terrified her. It was as if she froze in her position as her heart skipped a beat.

She gasped when he finally left and catches her breath when she realized that she stopped breathing.

"He's really scary!" she blurted out. She wonders when he's going to accept her presence.
