Consequences

Demian's tears gradually fell as he watches the dust of his mother disappear. His knees have weakened as he stared at the empty space with his pupils dilated. He was still shocked because of what happened.

"If you only have come with us peacefully earlier, this wouldn't have happened," Falcon stated monotonously. "This is your fault."

"This isn't true…" Demian murmurs, still in denial about his mom's death. Slowly, his world seemed to crumble as everything sinks in. "This can't  be happening…"

Falcon shook his head as he watches the pitiful boy. "That's it? That's the end of you?"  he said while looking down on him. "Pitiful," he grinned.

He thought that if K is going to use this boy, he must have inherited some kind of powerful ability. "It must be something like Ash or Kithe's," he pondered.

"No...mom," Demian mumbled, still looking where his mom vanished, ignoring the approaching man.

"Do you see what I mean? This is your weakness." Falcon asked, disappointedly staring at him. "You are very compassionate, kind, and loving; in a nutshell, weak."

He hates kind people because, for him, they are just weak creatures that waste their gifts and talents. He, who's once a normal human never liked being plain and common. Falcon suffered for being unable to protect the people he loved, that is why he hates people who are born with a natural ability. People like Demian and his mom. They are both weak.

Falcon grabbed his chin to look straight into his eyes. "You will not survive the human world."

Demian looked at the man in front of him, his eyes welling up with tears. This man in front of him had murdered the only valuable person left to him in this world. His mother is no longer alive, and he was never given the opportunity to express his sentiments for her.

"It's just so unfair," he reflected. Why do good people die first, like her?

Why do they feel compelled to murder her?

His heart ached as if it had been slowly crushed and stabbed a million times. "Why do you have to kill her?" he finally growled, entertaining Falcon.

He let go of his face and chuckled. "That is right. Hate! Hate me," he grinned.

"I will kill you," Demian answered as his face darkened while looking at the ground.

Falcon exclaimed, "Now that's what I'm talking about. Avenge the death of your beloved mother. Assassinate me!" Falcon wanted to see the extent of his power and whether or not this boy was worth it, so he prepared himself for a fight.

Demian, on the other hand, has nothing else on his mind but to kill the person in front of him as he begins to breathe heavily. Falcon does not deserve to live after what he had done to his mother, ruining his life forever.

"You're completely mistaken," Demian said abruptly, shivering in rage and resentment as he held the ground with his bare hands.

Falcon looked at him while raising an eyebrow. "What?"

"Love, kindness, and compassion might be our weakness, but--" Demian looked at Falcon and wiped his tears harshly, "--it is also our strength!" he stormed and slammed the ground with both his bare hands causing the ground to tremble as it slowly crumbles as if an earthquake is taking place in their positions.

Falcon gracefully leaped to the other side of the road to prevent falling through the ground fracture Demian had created. He raised an eyebrow because of the petty attack the boy did but then realized that Demian's minimal attack was to make certain that the villager's life would not be jeopardized.

"Eh, he knows how to control his ability," Falcon said. He's quite surprised that Demian has already mastered his own power. He looked at his team and grinned at them. "Prepare for a battle," he said then noticed how Ash's eyes were fixated on the boy.

Falcon pondered to himself, "Now, I'll see if you're indeed a traitor, Ash."

Meanwhile, Demian's body trembled as his heart started to feel a familiar burning sensation that rather gave him satisfaction. It travels from his chest down to his hands and feet increasing his urge to fight.

He doesn't feel any remorse for these men anymore and all he wants to do is to end them but he knows he has to be careful and stay conscious. Demian let out a long sigh as he feels his blood slowly burn in pain like all the energy he has inside was released and then was transferred to the ground making it tremble again. He then stood up and closed his eyes as he feels the movement of everyone around him.

"What is he doing?"

"What should we do?"

"I don't know but just keep your eyes on him," Ash said and grinned in astonishment.

The rest of Falcon's team couldn't go near him as they feel a strong magnetic force from the boy, summoning all the metals within the vicinity.

On the other hand, Demian felt amazing energy he has never felt in his entire life. It's stronger and better than he thought he could do.

"It feels good," he blurted out.

Demian felt his power flowed in his system down to the ground as if he connected to nature. Once again, the ground began to crumble giving fear to the whole neighborhood. He could hear them yet he continued because he thought that he must end this once and for all.

This is for the sixteen years he spent living a non-normal life in order to get away from them. Sixteen years of not experiencing normal childhood and adolescence, and most importantly, this is for his mother, whom they mercilessly murdered.

Demian was trying to restrain himself earlier, but now all he wants to do is sever their heads and watch their blood stain the soil. For the first time in his life, he does not feel mercy.

Demian opened his eyes and couldn't help but scream his lungs out as the force finally filled his entire body, shaking the ground once more but this time stronger.

"You should not have killed my mother. You will now have to deal with the consequences of your actions."
