DEMON SHERRİF LAFİTTE: He is a member of the blackbeard pirates now. He was the sherrif of a village in west blue that was abusing his autorithy, gaining this title.

[Rodos City, Afternoon]

We have just arrived to the city that I am transfered. We started walking after we arrived at the gates of the city. The marine officers and captain Ramon leads the way and I follow them from behind. As we are walking towards the base I use my enhanced senses to watch my surroundings. ' I want to find a sword shop or a blacksmith so I can get myself a good sword.' I think. As we are walking many people look towards me and whisper to each other. I can't help my curiosity and use my enhanced hearing to spy on them.

''Hey, who is that guy behind the Captain Ramon? Why is he personally leading the way?'' One of them asks.

''I heard he is a speial recruit that might be accepted to headquarters!'' A voice replies.

''I think he is that guy called devil!'' Another voice interjects. People start to gasp as they glare that person.

'' There is no way that a wicked man like Ethan the devil, will be accepted to the rightous marines!'' A person from the crowd lectures with a stern voice.

''... I guess you're right. I heard that guy killed a whole village worth of people by himself when he was just 7!'' The person that was glared corrects himself.

I stop listening them with an annoyed face. 'All I am doing is killing some criminals, why is there so many shitty rumours about me.' I think, not knowing many people that do wicked and ruthless deeds escape and put the blame on me inflating my already scary reputation.

We walk for five more minutes before my ears catch a man's scream. I don't need to use my enhanced senses as we are already close to the voice. I look towards the officers and Captain walking without stopping at all. I turn around and see a man is on the side of the road with bloody wounds on his legs and arms on the brink of death. A person in fancy blue clothes is kicking the guy cursing him for some reason. 'Hmph, that guy has some guts, killing a man in daylight in city.' I think before turning around and start walking to them.

Marine officers and Captain also stop while looking at me. '' Hey, rookie! Where do you think you are going?'' an officers calls to me. I stop with a confused face. 'Can't they see the situation over there? Are they blind?' I point towards the man in fancy blue clothes and the injured man on the side of the road. Marine officer looks at what I am pointing with an understanding face before answering me in an disdainful smirk ''Boy, you just came from countryside and don't know the rules in this city. That man is from the Ashdown family, he is not someone you can afford to offe-''

I ignore him as I walk towards the injured man and noble. '' Hey, you. Stop or I will arrest you.'' This manages to stop the cursing man and he turns his attention to me. Many people in the city also turn towards me, looking at me with shocked faces. The noble is a 30 year old man with a fancy mustache. He looks at me for a second and starts laughing when he sees that I am a marine.

'' Hahahaha, Ramon get your dog out of my face. Might I remind you who is the boss in this city?'' he ridicules.

I hear a voice behind me as I feel a hand on my shoulder.''Ethan, stop bothering the gentlemen... you are new here, and don't know the rules.'' I frown as I look at the captain Ramon with a deep look for a few seconds. I turn around to face the noble again completely ignoring the captain. ''I don't like to repeat myself'' I continue with a cold voice, my hand on my sword.

The officers and the noble shiver as they see I am serious. ''Y-you brat! Do you not know about the Ashdown family? Ashdown family is one of the strongest families in west blue! We have one of the 5 great families of the west supporting us! My aunt is the husband of Spandine, the current head of the Cipher Pol organzation. Do you really think a punk like you can-'' I slash my sword at him making a small wound in his face dripping blood. He looks at me with a shocked face. ''Y-You injured my face! I will make you pay for this'' he screams pointing at me. I cringe as his voice is just like a pig squelling. ''Don't test my patience and get lost. İf I see you doing things like that in the future, there will be other consequences'' I tell him with a cold voice. He looks at me with a red face full of anger before turning around and leaving muttering something about me paying the price. The people in the city also saw all this as some of them looks at me with respect, while others look at me with ridiculing smiles. Ramon looks at me with angry eyes '' We will talk about this when we get to the base.'' he informs me, before he starts walking again. I take the injured man to my shoulder carrying him, before following Ramon as well.

[Marine Branch 10, Afternoon, İnside The Office]

After I take that man to treatment I was summoned to the Ramon's office right away. I get inside the room and see Ramon sitting behind his desk. He looks at me for a few seconds, not offering me a seat to sit. I frown as I wait for a few seconds before he starts his speech ''Ethan... What you did today was unnecessary. There are some rules in this city that you should obey. You shouldn't provoke Ashdown family.'' He starts with a stern voice.

''I have never heard marines have these kind of 'rules' before'' I answer with a disdainful tone.

''Hmph, even if marines don't, this city has this rules! Don't forget I am your tester and superior. Your test not only measures your talent but it also measures your behaviour. Not obeying your superiours is not acceptable. So... İf you still want to be transfered to headquarters, I advise you to behave yourself from now on.'' He yells at me angrily. I look at him with a disdainful smirk without saying anything as I turn around to leave the room. ''HEY! Where do you think you are going. I am not finished yet!'' He yells behind me as I slam the door and leave the room, ignoring him

--- A few Minutes After Ethan Left The Room---

PAT! Ramon slams his hand angrily to his desk making it crack. An officer looks at him warily before saying with a disdainful tone:

''That Ethan guy is just too disrespectful captain, he doesn't even listen to you.''

Ramon takes a few breaths to calm himself before answering:

''He will learn to adapt... İf he can't, there are ways to deal with a runt like him'' he says with an angry voice. 'Damn this boy, now how will I explain this situation to Ashdown family?' He thinks getting more and more furious.

[Rodos City, Afternoon]

''Crow... I might fail this test it seems'' I say with a sad tone towards my friend.

''Well... It would be a miracle if you can pass, after your attidute today.'' He answers casually.

''...'' I stay silent as I walk a little depressed.

''Well... You are not suited to be a marine in the first place. So it is not surprising that you fail anyway.'' Crow ridicules me a bit, succesfully dispelling my depression by making me annoyed.

'' You bird talk too much trash today, let's go. I want to look for a sword before the day is over.'' I tell him before going towards the market place.

[Rodos City, Evening]

I sit at the side of the road depressed. I looked around and entered many blacksmiths and weapon shops but I couldn't find a sword to my liking, making me depressed once again. Some of the people in shops recognised me, I caused a big ruckus just this morning after all.

'Nothing goes well today.' I think before a voice interrupts my thoughts ''H-hey, young mann, d-do you have some coins to spare for this old man.'' An old man reeking of alchol, clearly drunk asks me. I was about to scare him off as I am not in the mood to deal with him. But a voice stops me. '... save me.' This is a voice that only I can hear with my voice of souls ability.

I search for the source of the voice and realise it should have come from the bracelet on the drunkard's arm. 'Am I imagining things?' I think but I am already extremely excited. From the day that I killed the bandits 8 years ago I was not able to activate that ability where I could read people's mind and emotions. 'İs there something special in that bracelet? It might be a key to awaken my power again.' I turn towards the old man '' Hey old man, 50 beri for that bracelet, deal?''

Drunkard looks at me confused before turning to look at his arm, realizing I am talking about that worthless and dusty bracelet. A foxy smirk appears on his face as he begins: '' Ah! This bracelet is extraordinary indeed. It is a family heirloom of mine. İt should worth at least 10.000 beri!'' I grit my teeth angrily. 'This damn old man is trying to rob me. Damn!' ''100 beri or I am walking away right now. I just want to take it because it reminds me of something.'' I answer with a disinterested tone. He looks at me disappointed before taking the bracelet of and giving me with a happy smile '' Deal!'' I look at him speechless of his shamelessness. ''Here you go.'' The moment I give him the money he runs of to a bar screaming '' Give me 2 more bottles!''

I examine the bracelet while sitting there for a few hours, but I can't discover anything. '... Am I duped after all?' I drop the bracelet to my pocket, extremely annoyed. ' Let's go to the marine branch to search for a criminal, I might kill my annoyance that way maybe.' I walk towards the marine branch as I think this.

[Marine Branch 10, Night]

The first thing I do when I enter the marine base is to change my cracked sword with a new one. 'Even if it is an ordinary sword it is better than a cracked one' I think before looking through the reports. İt doesn't take long for me to find a report that makes me angry. İt writes as such in the report:

'The sherrif of the Tree Hill Village. He is abusing his authority as the sherrif and forces the villagers to work as slaves. Thus gaining the nickname 'Demon Sherrif Lafitte'. 2 capture attemts have been made but failed. Extremely dangerous.' As I read the report, I remember my past and get more and more angry at him. 'I know him... He will be one of the blacbeard's subordinates in around 10 years.' I take a deep breath before calling towards Crow:

''Let's go Crow. We have another scumbag to take care of.'' I say with a cold voice, all my annoyance dissappearing as I focus on the task at my hand.
