Chapter four

P.E's over and it wasn't so challenging for almost any of us. Of course, it was for the more unexercised of us but overall I think it was a good lesson. Though, I'll have to hurry because Fashia and Chancellor have already left for lunch and I just got out of the shower. So as fast as possible I, of course, put on my uniform and dried my hair.

In about ten minutes from getting into the locker room, I was out and on my way to the cafeteria. But to my surprise, I found Fashia and Chancellor hugging in the halls. They were hugging tight though I don't think it was anything more serious than just a friendly hug. I walked up to them and started a conversation.

-Hi babe, hi Fashia! I said.

-Hello babe, Chancellor said back to me.

-Hi bestieeee, Fashia answered.

-Have you already been to lunch?

-No, we haven't we were waiting for you, babe.

-Oh thank you guys, you're so cute for waiting for me. I thought you would eat without me. I said courageously.

-Of course, we wouldn't eat without you Meg. Fashia said.

-Let's go? Chancellor said as he took my hand.

And then we were on our way to the cafeteria. Today's lunch was spaghetti bolognese and ketchup with some vegetables to the side. For just 2.20 Lukes, a Luke is what we have for a currency. An average family earns about 65,000 Lukes/a month which makes it pretty cheap for today. Okay so back to lunch.

-Hey Fashia, can I ask you a question? I said to her.

-Uhh, yeah sure. What is it? She answered sounding happy.

-Oh, it's nothing, I just wondered how it went with your boyfriend.

-Ah, I didn't tell you? She started blushing. - We broke up. She said calmly and her cheeks began to go back to her regular color again.

-Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. I told her as I started feeling regret.

-No no, it's fine really. You have nothing to worry about, I'm not sad about it.

-But you had a relationship for over a year? I got a little confused and as stating that phrase I noticed that I had raised one of my eyebrows.

-Yeah but in the end stuff didn't work out and we talked about it and chose to break up. And besides, I met someone else. She said with a smirk on her face.

-Okay, then I get it. Feeling a little calmer when I knew it didn't affect her badly. - Who is it? I asked.

-Oh, no one special. You don't know him.

I felt a bit of guilt coming from her as she stated that sentence.

We continued eating our meals and had a great discussion going on. But I noticed how Fashia and Chancellor got more and more strange around me and started acting weird. I didn't think about it that much, to be honest. I could just be overthinking... Right?.. I hope... But why would Chancellor betray me with my best friend even? He and I have a great relationship and I've known Fashia since I was three. They would never do something like that to me.

The day went on as normal and all the lesson flew by fast. Except for economics. I don't know what happened but I couldn't stop thinking about how Fashia and Chancellor had acted at lunch. It probably wasn't anything and I'm just overreacting but for me, they did act strange. I also couldn't help but notice how Lizzie fixed her hair and twirling it around her fingers. Her long blond hair shined bright as the sun came in through the big windows right next to her seat. I could hear some words from her thoughts but they weren't hanging together. It just came to a few words now and then. So she probably has a lot on her mind going on right now. The words that came up regularly was "Ayat... How bright it was outside... That someone was cute... Some lyrics... Ayat... Economics... What she was gonna do after school... Anddd Ayat again". Why was she thinking about him so much? So she did indeed have a crush on him. Haha, of course, she has. She has such a depressing love life. So it's obvious that she would go for the new boy in class that doesn't know anything about her past.

I sometimes even feel bad for her. Haha, hope I didn't say that out loud. I caught her staring at Ayat a few times and when she noticed me laughing in the back she stopped. It was hilarious looking at her biting her bottom lip, twirling her hair around her finger, and fantasizing about her and Ayat as a couple. I don't think you can convince me otherwise. I mean, just look at that hopeless girl thinking she has a chance of a future with him. How about we spice it up? Making some drama. I know I confronted her just a while ago but everyone was happy about it and trying to pair them together. This school could do some good with a little bit of drama. Yeah, I'll do it. After school. Haha, it will be so fun! I think I know exactly what to do but before I have to talk to Chancellor about it to see if he's okay with it and then I'll have to prepare myself.

Let's go to Chancellor and ask him if he's okay with it... I guess he will be since it has a purpose to go and flirt with Ayat. Oh gosh, I'm so excited!!!

-Yeah no. Chancellor answered me in a slightly irritated voice.

-But why? It would be so fun to mess around with Lizzie and Ayat. Please babe!!!

-No, I said no and that is my answer. He said more irritated than before.

-Ugh fine! I said as I walked away to the bus to get the ride home.

As I walked on the school bus I saw Katie Lynnetta sitting in the back seat. I decided to go down to her seat and sit next to her to have someone to chat with. Chancellor and Fashia got a ride home from Fashia's parents since they had a school project going on. Supposedly they were also going to help each other with homework since both of them were going to be at Fashia's. It made a lot of sense so I didn't see a problem with it. Though I wish I could make it to Fashia's as well though I had to babysit the pups in my mother's pack. Most of them are adorable but Mike and Luna can be so bothersome with their fighting sometimes. But I've never even doubted since they were born that they would be mates in the future and I'm still not questioning it either.
