The twelfth day

Mila realized her lodge is full of immigrants who don't have valid proof to live in the country. The lodge had crowded, small rooms. People talked aloud in the corridors, even at night. Later Mila realized they are sleeping in the corridors since the rooms are crowded. It took a long time for Mila to sleep these days. Mila was dreaming every night. The old dream of the mystery bridge and a voice calling her from the bridge "Come back". It got stronger each day. Mila couldn't afford food. She had two low-cost meals from the dirtiest shop in the street each day and was getting weaker. Maybe this is what Peter meant. She won't survive outside the village. But Mila had lived here for 17 years and she was as healthy as anyone else.
