The Date

-Kris POV -

Most of the time, I will go hunting or walking through the forest to clear my mind or come up with a solution to my problems. This walk however is going to be a long one cause there's no easy or practical answer when it comes to love. I have no idea how I feel about Ahri. Yes, I get nervous and sometimes flustered but do I feel the same for her?

This walk is not only to clear my head, it's to prepare myself depending on my answer. I'm already much further on the walk than I usually go. So far in fact that I'm in a completely new area. A few new flowers here and there. Trees that are bigger and look stronger, litter the place making it denser and harder to navigate. This place is at an incline and to my surprise I'm at the base of a mountain. From my point of view, it looks like the one further north of my home. At least I know my general location but I'm forgetting why I'm here. Perhaps I just need to find a quiet place to rest and think about it then. I explore the area for any place I can stay but luck is not on my side. Even though I'm at the base of a mountain there are no caves or crevices to stay. I look up to see that it's already midday. I sighed, "I should probably get back."

With one step in the direction of home and the ground gives way underneath me. It caught me by surprise so I couldn't do anything to prevent my fall. As I hit the ground my head landed on a large rock knocking me out instantly.

As I see nothing but an empty black void. A familiar spoke, letting me know I'm not alone. "Well well well. Someone had a fun fall."

There was a giggle from someone else so I open my eyes to find myself in the void with Lykos and... Tenebris? Tenebris looks different. I can see her facial features and not just a black slowest. Her dark purple eyes standing out from the void. Her curvy body moving in hypnotizing circles as was undoubtedly showing off her body. She was wearing a black dress that only helped highly her features. I was so confused that I couldn't help but ask, "H-how are you h-here and why are you...?"

I gesture to her movements as she continues. I'm 100% sure she's trying to seduce me but for some reason, it does not have the same effect as if Ahri were to do it. It's more... uncomfortable. She grew a sly grin and asked, "What~? Don't you like what you see~?"

I stood up facing both of them. Took a deep breath and said, "Nope."

She froze on the spot as if someone shot her with a stun gun, the only difference is her suffering was internal. A small tear ran down her cheek. I sigh, "Lykos. Please tell me how she's here."

"Simple, she's attached to your soul as well. The only difference is she can come and go whenever she likes."

"So where's my body right now?"

Tenebris spoke, "In a cave crushed by tones of rock."

"WHAAAAAT?!!!!!"

Tenebris giggled, "Just kidding."

I made an angry grunt and mumbled, "Fucking dickhead."

Like a child who has minor revenge, she looks away with her chin up. "It's what you get."

"For not being attracted to you. Seriously?"

Using one of her hands to hold her forehead Lykos closes her eyes and shakes her head. "Can you two stopping fighting. You will be working together in the future."

I had to agree Lykos, "I guess you have a point. Tenebris let's be nice to each other."

And like a self-centered brat, Tenebris sticks out her tongue, which is surprisingly black. I turn to Lykos giving her the 'see what I mean face'. She just giggles and shrugs it off. Her amused face turns serious as she comes closer to me, stopping about one meter away with her arms crossed. "So why are you so far away from home?"

I look away from embarrassment. "You should already know why."

Tenebris laughed in a mocking tone and said, "HAHA Kris is afraid of... OW!"

Before Tenebris could finish Lykos smacked the top of Tenebris's head to shut her up and I can see now what their relationship was like before me. Shacking her head Lykos focuses her attention on me. "You don't know how to act on your feelings do you?"

I nod my head with a confused look on my face. How did she know what my true problem was and how can she read or understand human emotions? She was a wolf before this. Did she learn from me? I sighed knowing she was right, "you hit the nail on the head with that."

Still rubbing her head from the slap early Tenebris leans on me with one arm over my shoulder. "Why don't you just confess?"

"Did you already forget that he doesn't know how to?"

"Well, you did knock a few screws loss."

"Shall I knock some more loss?"

Tenebris's attitude turned from playful to scared shitless. In all honesty, it's funny but scary how Lykos controls Tenebris. To help Teniebris I ask, "Do you guys have any ideas that can help me?"

"How about some flowers. I always find them at this time of the season to be the most beautiful."

"Yeaaaah I'm not that kind of guy."

Tenebris made a suggestion, "Why not a date? You set up the scene, it shows her you really care and it kinda forces you to confess."

Both Lykos and I were surprised that Tenebris gave a good idea. "Ok but where then."

Both the girls look at each other and smile.

-Ahri's POV-

Ever since Kris went on that walk I've been alone staring out the window waiting for him so I can apologize for this morning. I just hope he can forgive me.

"Stop worrying. He'll forgive you." Hati sat next to me staring out. I still can't get used to the massive sizes of Hati and for some reason, her sitting like that only makes her bigger. Hati takes a big sigh and moves to lay down curling up in a big ball. I take a second to think of how cute a giant wolf can look but then turn my attention back to the outside. "He'll come back. Just be patient."

Ahri sigh, "I know."

Hati looks up at me seeing the sadness written on my face. "Come lay down."

"What? Why?"

"Kris would use me as a pillow whenever he was sad or worried."

Hesitantly I move to the center of Hati's curled body. Her fur is much softer than mine or it's that I'm used to my fur. I rest my tails on Hati and my head next to hers. Before I knew it I was cuddling up with Hati and due to the coziness and the warm fur surrounding me, I quickly fell asleep. Hati was right all my worries are gone and all I can think of is the heaven I'm in. My heaven didn't last long as I felt a gentle nudge on my shoulder begging me to wake up. I slowly opened my eyes to see Kris nudging me. "I need to talk to you."

"Kris!?"

As fast as lighting he puts his index finger on my lips shutting me up. He pointed to a sleeping Hati and I nod understanding and whisper to him. "Where were you?"

"Just come with me."

He takes my hand gently pulling out of the Hati cuddle towards the door. Once outside he started walking gesturing me to follow.

We've been walking for a while and neither one of us has said a word. Kris kept walking through the darkness and I followed however the cold is getting to me. Seeing Kris's bare only made the cold seep in faster so I have to use my tails to keep me warm. "Um, Kris? Aren't you cold?"

"No. Are you?" He looks at me only to see me shivering my ass off.

"Don't worry. We're here."

He gestures to a cave entrance sticking out of the ground like the entrance to a mole hole. He then jumped in disappearing in the darkness of the void.

"Kris?"

I waited for a moment listening for any reply but nothing came.

"Kris!"

I'm getting extremely worried something happened to Kris but they were laid to rest when he faintly replied. "Aren't you coming?"

"What do you want me to do? Jump?"

Kris paused for a moment before saying, "Yes!"

I step away from the entrance processing what he just said. You have to kid me. I'm supposed to jump into an abyss just because he says so but.... he asked me to follow him. I guess if I want to find out why then I'll have to leap of faith.

"You better catch me!"

"No promises!"

I mumbled to myself, "God saves me."

Filled with adrenaline I take a step forward dropping into the hole. As soon as I started falling fear gripped me. I wanted to stop my fall or break it but I can't because it's too dark. My fall started getting faster and as it did my fear grow with it. "IM GONNA DIE!!!"

My fall was brought to a sudden stop by Kris catching me in his arms. I gave my eyes a moment to adjust to the dark. Kris held me in a bridle position walking deeper into the cave. His warm body acting like a giant hot water bottle replacing my cold with a lovely warmth. I snuggle closer getting as much warmth as possible. The events of this morning played back in my mind and I moved away not wanting to repeat the same mistake. Kris did something I didn't expect, he held me closer not allowing me to separate. "Kris..... I'm sorry for what I did this morning. Can you forgive me?"

"You don't have to apologize. It was a.... a new experience for me."

"Then why are we here?"

We turn a corner and what lay before my eyes took my breath away. A natural hot spring illuminated by the moonlight. The hot steam rises slowly escaping the few holes in the natural ceiling keeping the place at a consistently warm temperature. He slowly put me down and walked to the edge of the string.

"Well I-I t-thought we c-could t-take a dip."

A sly grin grew and along with it an evil plan. While he is looking away from me I snuck up behind him.

-Kris POV-

I was waiting for Ahri to say something but I guess she had other ideas cause the next thing I knew I was in the warm water with Ahri laughing on the bank.

"Oh, you think it's funny? Well, why don't you join the joke!"

I grab Ahri's arm pulling her in with me. Her scream was priceless and the after reaction was even more so. She slowly poked her head out of the water with her ears down and with an annoyed expression. I give her a cheeky smile which caused her to smile as well. We spent the next half hour enjoying the hot spring. Afterward, we lay our main clothes flat on the ground to get them as dry as possible. I lay down by the side of the pool with Ahri resting her head on my chest. "So you brought us here to have a date~?"

I sit up forcing Ahri to do the same and stare into her beautiful golden eyes. "Actually I have something to con..."

I was cut short by Ahri kissing me deeply. After a few seconds, she broke away.

"I know cause I've had this feeling for you from the first time we kissed. I just got a little impatient this morning."

Without another word, she kissed me again but more passionately and aggressively. Her surprise attack won her instant dominance as she explored her new territory. She pressed her body against mine. I could do nothing but lay back down with her on top and melt in this new feeling. Knowing that our date is going to be a fun one.
