Chapter 3:CLOSER AT LAST
It's been two months at the very least, madami ng nangyari and just like the start of my entry in this school ate and Alex is still in a war affair of their broken love story, this week is exam week and we've been studying so hard for this.
"OK times up class, please pass your papers to the front and make sure the test papers are properly put back into their original form." announced the teacher.
Its lunch time finally! But this isn't the end, of course since exams is nearly over thank God to that, we have to review for our final first quarter exams.
" Damn, the questions were so hard on the test papers, Cass did you get the solutions to test 3 question 5? " asked Sam to Cass
"Nope, not even Yvette and Hes had the right answers to it or the solution but Zeki and Cali looked like they had the answers to it."
"Hey Crystal how was exam in your room with Aid and Katy? ." they asked us.
"Well it was OK I guess, we worked together but it was still a very rough test, at least we made it till the end." I replied
"Ria and Kherv and of course Aaron and Kei looked like they did a very good job in answering the question, add Shia to that too(Kaeshia)." Katy added
"Let's eat guys I'm starving" complained Kae.
We all ate hurriedly and hungrily then left for the library we still had a lot to study for and we don't wanna fail do we.

"FINALLY! EXAMS ARE FINISHED YES!" Exclaimed Kei and Aaron
"I feel like my grades aren't OK this quarter... I'm so busted with mother and father." Sam said worriedly
"Cheer up Sam. Anyways we studied well together and all the questions we had were the same, we worked it out so don't worry OK? Cheer up" Cass said assuringly
"I feel like I'm perfect in the exams, plus I'll be the one with highest honors in our section" Aaron said proudly
"Your such a show off, you always ask me for answers and copy my works." busted Kei
"Luhh, That ain't true and you know that, your the one always poking me to ask for answers and copying me"
"Just leave him Kei, you know there's always a storm where he is, there's always a strong wind coming in our direction all of a sudden." Ria butted in
We all laughed and went home. Ate left early because she doesn't want anything to do with her enemy for even a second. I already told her she should have closure with him but she just doesn't seem ready to face him yet.
I arrived home and went to my room when I heard sobbing coming from ate's room. I peeked from her door and found her crying.
"Ate are you all right?" I asked her.
"I-I don't kn-know anymore" she burst out crying more then ever before.
I came to her side and hinagod ang likod niya to comfort her.
"Is this about him again ate?" I asked.
"Y-yes... I'm just so frustrated with myself of why I just seriously had to cross paths with someone I've been avoiding for the last 2 years. I've moved on to tell you the truth, but there is just some wounds that don't heal so easily especially when you've been to so many things at the same time. " she explained. Shes right, someone can move on from a person but the wounds that they leave behind isn't that easily healed no matter how long you say it is.
" Ate, you won't move on unless you let yourself move on, get closure if that's what you need to finally have your peace. Ask him all the questions you wanted to ask so long ago and let yourself free. The pain, the anger let it all free. You deserve the peace you've been longing for. Cry it all out, but make sure that he'll be the last reason for why your crying again. Let it all out. " I said.
" I will baby, I will... I'll try at the very least... " she hugged me once more and laid her head on my shoulders. We stayed like that for a few minutes then I changed the topic to make her laugh and we headed downstairs to eat our dinner.

It's a Saturday today and we decided to take a rest muna so we went to the mall with Nanay Bella.
We first went to the cinema's and then after that we went to the arcade, we ate lunch sa McDonald's and went home. But of course we went to the grocery store first to buy things for the house. It's a good thing that her ATM always has 15,000 pesos in it for our need in the houses and other stuff.
"Hahaha ate! You cheat you didn't let me get it!" I laughed.
"Hey that ain't true! But you gotta say Nanay Bella is very good in the basketball shooting game isn't she?" she laughed too and we went home happily
We went out of the taxi and was going inside our house when someone in the shadows of the bushes appeared out of thin air.
"Crystal..." we turned to find Axel in the bushes.
" Alex? What are you doing here." the sudden happiness of ate Crystal's face instantly vanished as quickly as it appeared and was replaced by a cold expression.
"I want us to talk. Please. I want to end this." he said back
"We already ended everything the moment you cheated on me." she retorted.
"Please, give me a chance to explain myself." he pleased again
"Ate, give him the chance, this might be the chance you've also been waiting for to move on. We'll be inside if you need us. Just give a shout." I said calmly

CRYSTAL'S POV
Melody left me and this jerk behind to talk. I wouldn't if she hadn't told me too, I'm not ready yet... At least not now....
" You have 5 mins to tell me everything you want Axel then that's it. " I coldy said.
" OK, that will be enough hopefully for me to explain." he sat down at the foot of the stairs and I sat down just a little farther away from him.
" I didn't cheat on you, it wasn't me in the first place, yes sa simula ako yung na kasama mo pero at the very ending it was Luke. I asked him to pretend to be me while I went abroad kasi I had to have a surgery. And I couldn't bare telling you or leaving you behind, I was shocked when you suddenly told me that I cheated on you and slapped me straight across the face, you didn't give me a chance to understand or explain to you anything. " he explained
" Yeah right as if I believe you. " I exclaimed
" Don't you find it weird that he treats you differently ? Remember we're twins. How about when he tells you iloveyou or when he hugs you and he caresses you don't you feel distant from him and like your with a different person all of a sudden ?" He asked me
I thought about it, yeah I felt at some point distanced from him before everything happened. He was right, when Axel I mean Luke rather took his shirt of I noticed that he didn't have the scar anymore on his side. I wanted to ask but, I didn't.
"See? I told you." he said, he was examining me thinking, no wonder of that.
"Ok so what's the point anyways? We're over. And I don't wanna be a part of you anymore. But you still left me! I could have stayed with you, I would have understood the situation you were in Ax! But you chose to hide it from me and now look what we got into! You broke me more then I've ever broken myself apart. And the pain and anger you left behind is unbearable. " I exclaimed
" I know that, I felt that. And I'm sorry for breaking your heart, I'm sorry, if only I could change time I would. I didn't tell you coz I don't want you to worry about me. But I was wrong and in doing so I lost you. And that's why I'm here to tell you I'm finally moving forward and letting you go. If it's OK with you, can we still be at least friends? " he asked me
" Hays, your story won't bring back what was lost, but I thinks it's also about time for me to release the pain that has been done. OK fine. But I don't want you thinking I still love you coz I don't. " I explained.
" I won't, I never loved anyone after you and I was a fool of letting Luke pretend to be me. But I understand and accept that. But if ever you'll love again, I hope he doesn't hurt you or else I'll hurt him. " he said back.
We hugged. A very long and awkward hug. But we fixed it. And I'm happy I've finally release the pain I felt. We talked a little more and catched up on each others life's we started laughing and finally he went home after a while, we bid goodnight and he left.
I went inside and found Melody still awake drinking cold chocolate milk with Nanay Bella.
"Soooo ate, care to explain?" she mischievously smiled at me.
"I hate that smile of yours, but OK I guess I could still explain for a lil while." I said.
I explained everything we talked about and all the new stuff I learned about Axel. And we laughed everything at the end. Truly God has been merciful to me and has now finally gave me the peace I need.
We finally ended our conversations and left for bed. Finally I can sleep peacefully at the end.
