Chapter 6: DISTANCED FROM EVERYONE
We're at a hotel right now somewhere near school and a lil far away from home. We're staying here for the meantime while we get away from mother and father's idea of us going into hiding.
"Ate... Are we gonna tell the others at school about what's happening?" I asked
"Well, aghh.... As far as I know Melody, in our case of death threats and from all the books I read with this type of... Scenario it's best that they know nothing, the less they know the better." she said while looking at the place where the bullet had been, it seems it still hurts a bit.
" Well, I guess your right... So tomorrow we're gonna distance our selves from them I guess? " I said sadly
" Don't worry, everything will go back to normal and anyways... Its only for the meantime." she patted my back and hugged me
RING RING RING
"Hmm. Its mom, has she been calling you too?" ate said.
"Yeah, even dad... But I turned my phone off..."
"I'm gonna answer it OK? Just give me a sec." she answered the phone and put it on loud speak
"Crystal! Thank goodness you picked your phone up! Is your sister with you? Where are you?! What in your right minds have you been thinking young lady!" mom exclaimed.
"Mom like we said, we're not going into hiding. If it means going elsewhere well no, we're tired of moving, we already agreed to stay in the Philippines and now you want us to move again? No way" she replied sternly
"Do you know how dangerous it is to be roaming around the place when you know that there's a death threat?!" father said with frustration.
"And do you know that it's so tiring always trying to understand you guys?!" ate said with frustration
"We're doing our best for you and Melody just please give us more time."
"Yeah well look at what your best got us into, and give you more time? We'd already been giving 20 years of our time to you guys, but you never had any for your own children." I said with bitterness
She turned the phone off and threw her phone on the bed
" I've had enough of them.. " she said exhaustedly.
We lay on our beds and after a while we fell asleep.

It's a Monday already, we've decided to continue our plan to distance ourselves from ACUESTRIANS SQUAD I've been thinking about Aid for a while, I don't know how to avoid him if he always sticks with me too.
I sighed and left for classes and we departed our ways.
It's lunch time already and it's only been a few hours but my head is throbbing with pain and stress because Aid is always trying to get my attention.
"Hey Melody, why aren't you noticing me?" he said a little hurt
How can I not notice him when he's always poking me on the arm. I can't let him get too near me because I promised Ate.
I sighed and faced him
"It's nothing Aid, I'm just not in the mood OK? Don't worry about me too much now please. I need to go." I said coldly and was about to take off when he held my arm
"Aren't you going to have lunch with us?" he asked hopefully
"Uh.. I don't think so, I need to search for Ate first and we'll be eating lunch outside. Anyways. Bye" I said and left him
I knew I hurt him but do I have a choice? I need to... It hurts me more avoiding him to be frank but it's for the better anyways.
I searched for ate and found her in the library, we ate outside in a 7/11 store and went back to school to avoid certain eyes just in case someone was following us, we're safer inside then out.

ZAIDEE'S POV
"Hey, Aid, are you OK? You look like your spacing out today? Anything wrong bro?" asked Aaron
"To be honest bro.... No, I'm not OK... Its just... Melody, she seems like she's avoiding me or something..." I said in frustration
"Well, what did she say?" he asked
"She just said she was in a bad mood and stuff but.. I mean I just don't think that's the reason... I feel like somethings off."
"You know, Crystal is the same, I noticed that too... I mean like me and Ria we went past her this morning and said hi but she only made a timid smile and.. Avoided gaze." butted in Kei
"Yup, you can say that again, she usually greets back and even talk for a while... But today.. They seem different." Ria agreed
"Hey guys where's Crystal and Melody?" the rest asked
"Yeah I mean, I thought they would come here. I wanted to announce to them the upcoming event for next week." Alui said
"Event for what? Ohhhh I hope it's for Halloween." Katty said excitedly
"Yes it is for Halloween, there's a party and parents are required to go there. Should we go and ask their parents?" Alui said
"Nah, I don't think so... I mean.. Its only today that their acting wierd right? Let's just wait till next week." Aaron said Assuringly.
"Y-yeah I think that will be the best for now.." I said back

MELODY'S POV
Our routine has been like this for the whole week and even if I don't admit it the squad has been suspicious and always seem to pop out of the ground all of a sudden anywhere I go greeting me but actually trying to interrogate me all of a sudden.
It's been hard, really really hard knowing your avoiding your friends, plus the much bigger problem is we need to bring our parents to the Halloween party today, I'm sure that mother and father already knew about the event because they called to say they'd be coming to school.
"Melody are you ready for the party later?" ate asked
"Yeah and you? I just hope there won't be a scene later on with mother and father."
"Yeah I'm ready, and don't worry there won't be any scenes." she said assuringly
We had our dresses ready for that day in our lockers and we separated ways.

"WOHOO! LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED! Everyone please be seated at your seats the event will start in five minutes so better get all spooky wink wink" the host of the event announced with excitement
The music in the background was loud but we were still able to talk to one another without shouting, we found mother and father in their own costumes looking splendid.
"Honey, we've missed you guys.." mother said caressing our cheeks
"We miss you too mother and father.. I'm sorry for the last call but we weren't going to let you guys get us into hiding." Ate Crystal said sternly
"We know, and we're sorry about it, we just don't want you guys getting hurt, you're our angels and we can't lose you." father said
"We're grown ups dad, we can handle ourselves, within 2 years we're gonna graduate and we'll have our own jobs, so please don't treat us like we're only 3 years old." I said
"Let's just enjoy the party OK?"
I looked around, the party was starting and people were now coming inside and laughing enjoying themselves, the orange and white lights flickering like a broken flashlight and the theme standing out even more with all the pumpkins lit up.
At a distance I saw Aid , he was with his parents laughing and smiling, I stared at him for a few seconds when he suddenly looked in my direction and we locked eyes. He smiled a disappointed smile, seems he's still bothered by my distanced behaviour with him and the squad.
"Crystal! Hey, I'd like you to meet my parents." Ax came over with his parents and introduced them.
"Oh OK" she said with a smile.
"Hello there, such a splendid young lady you are? I am Thalia Clinton and this is my husband Hiro Clinton" she introduced herself and shook hands with ate
"Good evening Ma'am Thalia and Sir Hiro, I'm Crystal Virtuoso and this is my younger sister Melody Virtuoso."
"Oh and by the way this is our parents, Harmony and Luis Virtuoso."
She introduced, as mother and father came back from the punch area.
"Nice to meet you all" we all shook hands

HARMONY'S POV
"I see,aren't you the owners of Virtuoso's Wine Industry? Or perhaps I am mistaken?" Thalia asked
"Oh no we aren't, we're the owners actually of Virtuoso's Clothing Lines Industry, it's a rather medium famed company but it's the best we could ever ask for." Luis answered.
"Oh wow that's interesting, I heard a gossip that your company is going bankrupt? If you don't mind me asking." Hiro said with curiosity
"Oh yeah about that... We just had a little problem with a certain broker but we'll be able to fix it soon enough hopefully...." Luis answered a little hastingly
"Well, we could do a deal with the shares if you want? I mean the deal could be a very good thing for the company. If you want we could get a deal in another day and talk about it. We have a good deal that could save your company." Thalia said.
"Well that would be a brilliant idea but for now... We'll think about it, we need to execute our plans and decisions really carefully." I butted in
"Well, here's our calling card just in case you change your mind" she gave us a calling card and they left to the other end of the room.
"Mother, your gonna do a deal with them?" Crystal asked
"No darling... At least not yet... This isn't the time to make such a big deal with the company at stake." I said back
I embraced her and Melody and kissed their forehead, my two lovely daughter what could we ever do without them.
