Zoe's POV
"It's getting dark already, we should somewhere to sleep." I advised as they frowned.
"We should probably spread out." Noah suggested and I chuckled.
"That's one of the terrible suggestions I've ever heard. If we spread out, we're totally going to get sperated again and we don't know what's going on in this forest." I replied.
"I've found something." Matteo shouted as he opened a small underground tunnel.
"A tunnel?" I was surprised. "I didn't know there would be a tunnel on Earth." I added walking towards him.
"We should get in." Noah suggested.
I scoffed. "We can't just enter the tunnel, what if it's not safe?" I asked.
Liam whimpered in fright. "You're right, what if it's full of spiders?" He asked back.
I dropped my bag and searched frantically for a torch. Finding one, I zipped my bag and handed it to Liam. "You're full of surprises, you actually carried a torch."
I nodded and handed him the torch, he switched it on and peeped into the tunnel. "There's nothing there." He said.
"If we get in, how do we come out tomorrow morning?" I asked.
"There's a ladder there." He answered with a controlled smile as he jumped inside. "Are you alright?" Liam asked.
"Yes, I'm alright. You can jump now." He answered from inside.
"Ladies first." Noah said and I chuckled.
"You guys go first." I replied in a casual tone as I watched them jump inside. It shouldn't feel scary but I felt scared of being alone in the forest. As I wanted to jump, I heard someone whisper my name. I turned back, frightened.
There was no one behind me. I swore I heard someone call my name softly. My heart raced as I glanced around the forest. "Aren't you coming?" I heard Liam shout from inside.
It felt like someone was there but I couldn't see the person, I jumped inside and after what felt like seconds, I landed on a small bed with a thud. "Ouch" I muttered as Liam climbed the long stairs to close the tunnel.
Standing up, I followed Matteo into a room. A gasp escaped from my lips. "Don't tell me it has a parlor." I was shocked, I couldn't believe my eyes.
"I'm as shocked as you are." He replied and sat comfortably on the sofa.
"So there's a hidden house underground." I muttered as Liam and Noah walked in with a tray on their hands. "We brought food for you." He said.
"I'm not eating, I actually told myself not to eat Earth's food and besides, this does look strange," I replied and they stared at me, confused. "Don't give me that eyes, this house certainly looks neat and clean. It's like someone lives here." I assumed.
Matteo laughed. "I don't think so." He replied in a mock astonishment.
Noah dropped the tray on the table and I sat on the sofa. My mind drifted back to the voice I heard. I wondered if it was just an illusion and there was no one there.
I didn't want to imagine for a second that an invisible person called me. "You must be missing Scott." Matteo said, jerking me back to reality.
Nodding, I watched Noah and Liam rush the food they found hurriedly. "Is that what Earth's food does?" I asked Matteo and he chuckled.
"If you say so, we should probably play a game for the main time and get our minds back to normal." Noah suggested.
Matteo looked at me before looking at them, "What game?" He asked.
"Truth or dare." Noah answered.
I looked at Matteo, our eyes met each other and I looked down. "I'll play if Zoe's playing." He said and I raised my head up gently blushing.
"Wow, we have a new couple."
I shot Noah with an offended look. "We're not a couple."
He chuckled and my eyes glimmered suspiciously. "I'll start with the rules," Noah paused. "You can ask a random person to do something or say the truth but it should not be your partner." He said.
"Who's my partner?" I asked excitedly.
"Matteo Jordan." He answered and his lips curved in a taunting smile.
I looked at Matteo and he smiled at me. "I'll start first, truth or dare?" I asked Liam.
"Truth." He answered.
I exhaled sharply and asked. "Do you see yourself falling in love with a guy or it's not possible?"
He kept quiet. "You should answer her question." Noah urged him quietly.
He looked at me with a sad smile. "No, I can't seem to accept falling in love with a guy." He replied.
I looked at Noah's face, I could feel that he was hurting inside. I definitely knew that I shouldn't have asked that question.
"Zoe, Truth or dare?" Noah asked.
I pondered about it for a while. I didn't want to choose the truth because they might ask me something very difficult. "Dare." I muttered.
"I dare you to kiss Matteo." He said and my heart beat increased rapidly.
Jake's POV
"How could you be so dumb and stupid?" I asked Alexa angrily as she sat on the ground.
Her jaw hardened stubbornly. "It's not my fault. I told him because I told he would understand and cooperate with us."
"Really? Is that your excuse?"
"I think you should be more worried about Zoe, she's not here yet and she's the experiment."
"How can you talk about an experiment when the box has been destroyed?" I asked.
A smile plastered on my face. "I'll try and make another one but it will take time. You should make sure Zoe's safe because we have to use her for the experiment."
"I didn't know you were so smart." I said and she kissed me.
"I can't, I'm dating Tracy." She replied.
"Tracy won't know." She promised softly and Tracy walked in with a frown on her face.
"Tracy won't know what?" She asked and picked a towel from the table, she dried her hair with it and dropped it on the table.
"Huh, I and Alexa are talking about the surprise I have for you, I don't want you to know yet." I lied and looked at Alexa.
She let out a little sigh. "What could I do without you?" Tracy asked as I planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"Aren't they here yet?" She asked back and I frowned.
"You followed them to the forest, didn't you?" I ventured cautiously.
"Yes, I did but I thought they came back here cause I couldn't find them again. I searched everywhere for them." She said and I rolled my eyes shocked.
"I think they're lost." Alexa replied.
