Giselle's POV
The light peeping from the window hit my eyelids to an extent that my head hurt.
It was pounding, like a truck came crashing down and banged my head.
Holding my head in my hand got up from the bed. Bile rose in my throat, making me feel nauseous.
I ran to the washroom to throw up.
Emptying all the contents and I gaged at the bitterness in my mouth.
I tried to stand up but a wave of dizziness hit me. Sitting on the floor, I folded my knees and rested my head on them.
"You're awake. How's it going?" Rae asked with an amused smile. I answered with a hoarse voice.
"What?"
"The hangover." She laughed. "Only you know what you did last night. We missed the show."
“Stop being so loud,” I groaned.
“Okay fine,” she murmured.
"What do you mean?" I was already in pain and she wasn't helping either.
Her questioning was confusing me.
"First, come get up I'll help you. Then I'm gonna tell you what I meant."
I put my hand forward which she grabbed and helped me rise. I rinsed my mouth. And took the beeline for the bed.
She sat with me on the bed smoothening my hair and went to get something.
"Here take these, have a bath, and rest. I'll bring something for you to the room. Although it may be counted as your lunch. We'll talk later." She blew a kiss and walked out.
I picked up my phone from the nightstand. It was certainly going to be my lunch I stayed in my bed the entire morning.
The throbbing ache of my head reminded me that should have a shower at least.
I took a warm muscle-relaxing shower. It helped to ease the soreness I had from dancing crazily.
After having a strong cup of coffee and a small cupcake Rae brought for me. I took two painkillers.
I took a warm muscle-relaxing shower. It helped to ease the soreness I had from dancing crazily.
I didn't even bother the change my clothes, sleeping in my bathrobe.
After a while, I felt Rae shaking my shoulder.
"Get up. Come down for dinner." My stomach growled hearing about food.
I sat up and still feeling sleepy. I took a few minutes to gain consciousness.
"Rae what were you talking about earlier?"
"Oh that. Well change your clothes and come down. Jake and Jenny will be about to arrive." she said hastily walking out of my room.
"Okay," I shouted back to her. My headache had subsided and the nap did make me feel fresh. Everything looked good so far.
....
Rae was sitting on the couch enjoying her coffee. Watching some telenovela.
Rae and her romantic dramas we could leave her in the house an entire week and she wouldn't complain.
All she needed was her source of entertainment.
I, on the other hand, loved reading so you could leave me with my novels. Yeah.
"Where's dad?"
"He went to visit uncle, Drake. Come sit." I sat beside her, snatching her cushion from her lap.
"Give it to me," she demanded.
"Take the other one it's beside you," I whined.
"Give or I won't tell you what happened last night." She warned with an evil smirk.
Something had to be wrong. I didn't argue with her.
"Take it but tell me what is it." defeated gave the cushion back.
She opened her mouth say something. But then closed it again.
"Wait for a while. Let them come. They even wanted to see your reaction."
"What? Seriously you're doing this to me. I'm your sister, for God's sake."
The bell rang and stopped me from speaking any further.
Jake and Jenny emerged from the doorway the evil smirks similar to Rae's.
What was it with them and their evil smirks?
….
"What is going on? Why are all of you giving me that?"
"That what?" They all asked in unison with an amused expression and sat on the couch with me.
"Tell me or I'm going," whining I stood up.
"Sit we're telling." Finally, Jenny spoke up.
They told me that Jake and seen me sleeping on my boss. Like literally sleeping. Who was holding me while I dozed off and how he'd carried me
to the car and the way he seated me. And everything after that.
To say that I was shocked to hear it would be an understatement.
I was dumbfounded to a level where I couldn't even utter a single word.
I was embarrassed and happy, confused, and content. All at the same time.
Embarrassed and confused because I didn't remember anything. God knows what I had done. Other than Him it was only Archer. And was happy
and content that he was there for me.
"Okay..." I said after a while because all three of them were staring at me. Like I was the 8th wonder of the world.
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
They said one after the other.
What's the use of repeating the same thing, again and again, when one has already said that. Such drama queens, I live with.
"Yeah Okay," I said shrugging my shoulders.
"So, you don't remember a thing?" Jenny looked at me confused.
While Jake was still staring at me. Rae being Rae had a smug look on her face.
I think, and maybe in my gut, I had this feeling the Jake couldn't stomach what I'd told him and had opened his mouth and told Rae about the lift
incident.
"Yes! if I would have why would I be asking you!?"
"Yeah, that's right." She answered.
"So now what happens?" Jenny raised a question. But the answer was unknown to me.
"Yeah, I agree with her." At last, he reacted.
"Now she goes and questions him, asking what happened," Rae stated calmly.
"The rest we'll see later." She smiled.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, I am. Right now, we'll just relax and watch a movie."
So we all lay on the couch watching the movie. After a while, my eyelids started feeling heavy and I drifted off.
