Chapter eighteen

Jacqueline's P.O.V

I just layed on my bed staring at my phone before I heard the door bell. I looked at the time, it was three in the evening and my parent don't usually arrive untill aroun six or seven. I started getting really worried, so I stood up to check who was at the door. The expression on my face was definitely priceless, it was Jake, I hugged him and afterwards I just stood there staring at him. He looked really good, I couldn't stop myself untill he asked me if he could come in. I really wanted to know what he had been up to.

"hey, so what were you up to during your vacation?" I asked trying to recover from my star struck moment.

"my dad was actually on a business trip, I had no choice but to go along. I had my glasses replaced with contacts while we were there." He answered.

"So nothing special or big happened while you were there?" I asked again, I felt like he was hiding something from me.

"like what exactly?" he asked.

"oh nothing, I just feel like you are hiding something from me. But it's okay if you don't want to tell me."I said to end the almost akward conversation.

Jake's P.O.V

It was like Jacqueline could see right through me, I also want to tell her the exact reason we had to go away for a few weeks, but it was not a topic I wanted to discuss at that point in time. So I just changed the subject.

"hey, so what happened while I was gone?"I asked.

"a lot of things happened while you were gone, where do I even start? I'll just start from the very beginning" she continue blabbing, asking and answering her questions by herself. I just sat there qietly watching and listening as she went on and on about what took place in school.

I couldn't believe what she was saying. A lot really happened in my absence, and I'm also eager to meet the new girl, TESSA. After all the catching up, it was finally time for me to go home. I stood up and walked towards the door, Jacqueline was behind me the whole time. I opened the door and turned to face jacqueline and said the sentence I had been practising all over again in my head, then I left.

Ian's P.O.V

When I returned from school, no one was home, so I just ate my lunch and went straight to my room. As I laid on my bed with my earphones in my ears I begin to recollect what had happened within the past few days. It's been a rollercoaster, I'm now friends with both Tessa and Jacqueline and it was starting to affect my BAD BOY status.

"hey bro"Nathaniel said while poking his head in my room. Nathaniel is my annoying little brother who is in his last year in middle school, but has this talent of frustrating me.

"what do you want?"I asked.

"I was just bored, so I wanted to see what you were up to".

"what do you mean by bored? were you at home all this while?" I asked.

"yeah, I was".

I was starting to get angry.

"you mean you were at home when I was ringing the door bell for over 30 minuites?"

"you got in afterall" he said with a smirk.

Do you see what I mean by "having a special talent of frustrating me" I was fuming with anger.

"you son of a bas***d"I said rushing towards him. Before I could get to him, he ran down the stairs. I just gave up on pursuing him, because it wasn't worth it.

I have no memory of having a sweet little brother, all the memories I have are the annoying ones. I laid back on my bed and ended up sleeping after a while.

I don't know why I keep writing short chapters LOL.
