SPECIAL CHAPTER-Li Xiwang's adventure

The day Li Xiwang dove in the Yucheng lake......

He looked around the sect, it was blurry, he sighed. His feet took him to the place he knew by heart, Yuecheng lake.

He dropped his hat and took off his shoes, the cold water made him shiver as he walked to the centre of the lake, he turned around and could see the blurry view of the rising sun. He smiled weakly and dove under the water.

He gasped when he found himself inside a cave, the his bare feet were gliding against the water, the surface looked like a silver mirror beamimg in the sunlight.

He frowned.

"Where the hell am I?"

He walked towards the entrance of the cave and could see peach blossoms and cherry blossoms along with tall bamboo.

The sweet scent of the blossoms mixed with the fresh smell of freshly watered earth. He sighed in contention.

Is this what reaching insight feels like? He had noticed that his once blind eyes could now see and he was thankful for that, not seeing this beautiful view could've been a pity.

He decided to take a stroll through the large garden, he had not met anyone else in this area and he hopes he does, in case he gets lonely.

As he walked along the bamboo forest, he could hear a low whimper and whine. It was animalistic, probably a wolf pup or fox.

He stood still and enhanced his hearing by focusing all his energy into the sounds surrounding the forest, he could even hear a dry leaf fall to the ground.

He then heard the low whimper.

"It's a fox kit"

He slowly made his way towards the area he heard it from. As he came nearer, the whines and whimper got louder.

He froze at what he saw.

"What the hell?" He whispered.

Inside a small makeshift den, a little girl laid in there, her face smudged with dirt, her nails black from all the digging and on her head was a pair of fury fox ears that stood erect proudly.

Li Xiwang picked up the little girl by the collar of her soft pink robe, he had never seen such a creature before, could it be a deity? Or a mythical creature?

"Eh? Who are you put me down!"

He chuckled. A fierce little thing too. He placed her on the ground and watched in amazement as she dusted her nine tails, she turned to him.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I am Li Xiwang, sect leader of the Li Shizu sect"

"Eh? Sect leader? Mister aren't you a little too young to be a sect leader?"

His amused smile disappeared, how could he forget, he had left just when his mother was about to be buried. He hopes her ghost doesn't haunt him for this.

"Eh? Mister don't cry" the little girl says wiping his tears, he didn't even realize he had been kneeling.

He chuckled.

"Silly girl, I'm not crying, my eyes are just sweating"

The girl giggled.

"My name is Ye Hulin"

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl, do you live alone?"

He watched as the girl's mood change from happy to sad.

"My mother had left yesterday and she still hasn't returned" she sniffled.

"Do you want me to keep you company?" He asks.

Hulin yipped like a little puppy and ran away with her nail bushy tails wagging happily.

"Let's play tag! You try to catch me okay?"

He laughed.

"Okay"

In the evening, Hulin had fell asleep into her den leaving Li Xiwang to go inside the cave.

The firewood crackled as the flames engulfed it, the warmness spreading throughout the cold cave. Li Xiwang sighed and sat in the lotus position.

His Qi was stable and he had not made any progress. He frowned and opened his eyes staring into the bright orange flames.

He started to picture the flame growing until it reached the roof of the cave and it happened.

"Wow!"

The large flames immediately disappeared leaving the cave dark. Li Xiwang could see a small figure standing infront of the cave, the bushy tails making him sigh.

"Hulin why are you not sleeping" he asked.

Hulin skipped over to him.

"I couldn't sleep master"

He frowned.

"Since when am I your master?"

Hulin rocked on her heels.

"Just now"

He chuckled.

"I see, well what do you want to learn?"

She pointed to the red coals where the fire was once lit.

"That, teach me that please!"

"I can't, I'm just a master of water, that's all"

"Even better! Teach me please, I'll behave"

He smiled, maybe this was his fate to teach the little girl how to cultivate, maybe through her will he finally reach insight.

"Deal"

"Yay!"

8 years later....

"Calm your mind, relax your wrist, picture the attack and go for it, that's it do it again"

The perfectly sliced watermelon wedges fell into a tray as Hulin practiced her water whip stirke, her technique was a little rusty but effective.

Li Xiwang couldn't be more proud of this little fox, she was now 13 and her height was almost like his, her tails and ears had gotten large and she recently started to shift into a fully fledged fox, which was skilled at hunting meat for dinner.

The past years, Li Xiwang had reached insight but he was reluctant to go, to him, this place was perfect, no wars, no drama, just peace of mind.

"Master, are you alright?" Hulin asked.

"I'm fine, did you practice fifty times? Let's head on to the next stage, take your position"

The two walked to the bare field for a hand to hand competition. This was Hulin's favourite part as she gets to learn new moves from her master.

She clenched her hands to fists while Li Xiwang stood up straight with his hands behind his back.

"Charge!"

Hulin jumped to the sky, using the sun as her shield, Li Xiwang couldn't see her for a few seconds before she descended with her feet aimed at his chest.

He stepped aside and pulled her by one of her tails making her yelp.

"Focus!" He scolded tripping her sending the teen fox to the ground.

She coughed up the dirt she had swallowed and glared at him.

"You can't survive my tiger fists!" She yelled charging at him, Li Xiwang dodged, his fingers lightly slapping her wrists paralyzing her for a moment.

"Don't say which move you're attacking with"

She smirked and aimed her feet at his legs which he avoided by jumping making her kick a few pebbles.

"You missed" he says looking smug.

"Did i?" She winked.

Before he knew it a tree branch slapped him in the ass making him yelp. Hulin rolled on the ground laughing her tails off.

"You-.....you silly girl, you set traps in the training field?"

"I had to, you've been winning for eight years now"

He huffed.

"Silly girl, I'll go get us some water" he says walking to the cave. Hulin followed him silently.

"Master you once said you have people you miss, when are you visiting them?" She asks.

"I will one day, do you want to come with me?"

"Can I? I really want to"

He smiled and stepped on the mirror like ground, he knew it was water but it still fascinated him.

"You can come only if y-"

Hulin watched in horror as her master fell inside the silver like mirror, she tried to follow him but an invisible force kept her out.

"Master!!"
