Dungeon of the Unholy Seer

Although the controls inside the game were as same as HIVE, Chloe felt different while striding inside the game. Her character felt heavy to control but to her amazement, no one even inside Xyliroth Town has the same class as hers. She tried looking to and fro checking every player that she passes by for Blood Revenant but none... Nobody ever got the Blood Revenant class except for hers. The world chat was as lively as HIVE. Only 300 players were allowed for Beta Testing but lots were already recruiting for dungeons to be cleared.

She went to the last town that she haven't visited. Letting out a breath of relief, she wandered freely through the gates of Orculas. Only few players can be spotted there but they were chatting alot on nearby chat. She felt awkward. Never before she had tried to recruit a party or ever been recruited into one. Always playing by her team and Raela by her side, she felt miserable. "Damn, I really am incapable of social interaction." She cussed.

Heading to the exit of the town, lots of players have gathered there for daily dungeon clearing. There were 3 dungeons in total. The first one labeled Dark, the second one labeled Abyssal and the last one labeled Unholy. Her eyes were fixed on the Abyssal dungeon but something inside her was boiling in challenge.

"If this class was given by the system, then I should try to abuse it sometimes.", she smirked as she gradually descended to the dungeon labeled upwards as Unholy.

At the gates of the dungeon an NPC named Larvek appeared out of nowhere. His hallowed presence with his head made of a searing red flamed skull made it evident that the dungeon is somewhat impossible to clear.

"Heed my warning cursed one, thou shall not pass the gates of Unholy Seer. If thou choose to die, then continue for it is DEATH that you seek!", the ghastly entity spoke with an echoing voice.

Below the cursor, there were two options. One was continue and the other was exit dungeon. Chloe was hesitant at first going inside so she opened her character information once more. Her class' stats displayed abstractly. She can't see any numerical value of some sort.

Attack: ???

Defense:???

Critical: ???

She scratched her head. Perhaps the system glitched once again. "Seriously, this game is still full of bugs... How could they release the game in this state?!", she facepalmed as she grabbed another bite from the baked mac and cheese that she heated. The hot food stung her tongue and her cursor accidentally clicked on her character information causing a new window to pop up containing hidden stats.

Soul drain: 10000

Leech: 6257

Stun Resistance: 16379

Surprised of what she read, she was then more excited to take a practice run inside the dungeon. Without batting an eye, she then clicked continue and her character was then transported inside a dark corridor lit only with torches from side to side. She was clueless towards the dungeon. It was her first time playing an MMORPG and she haven't read any guidelines on clearing it. Gulping a lump of saliva, she strode towards the dark path ahead of her. There was not a single mob of monsters that tried to assault her along the way. "Something smells fishy.", slowly she ran up the stairs and as she reached the top, a warning icon appeared.

BOSS WARNING: Unholy Priestess

The boss stood up with it's spectral. Her long hair hung from her sides with a hint of rage on her face. Her eyes were white and hollow and her pale skin glowed in a bluish manner. There was a huge scythe in her hand which she'll use for attacking. Chloe paid attention more closely. The boss had no additional info but there was a sub name underneath the boss' name.

"Guardian of the Unholy Seer"

Frozen from her seat, she had second thoughts whether she'll attack or not. Before she even entered an NPC already gave her the warning but she didn't listen. She never wanted the glory all for herself but entering the dungeon was of her own volition.

"How will I know if I won't try."

Positioning her hands on her keyboard and mouse, she mustered up her courage and moved her avatar. The boss went from silent to enraged mode. There was a clash of steels and clinks of chains as Chloe severed cuts using her basic newbie combo skill set that was provided.

"One more hit."

Chloe was sure that she would win when the boss suddenly summoned undead minions and vengeful souls around her. Her stats were unknown and she had only her newbie skill set equipped. She feared that she might lose the fight and shamed herself for being too overconfident.

"Come on, let's finish this!"

Overconfident? She wanted to be overconfident. If there was one thing that she'll do, it was to be overconfident. Even if she die right here, it was the least that she could do.

Remembering all that she had been through throughout the years, her courage piled up and lit inside of her. Taking two turns of hitting the minions, she rushed up and used her available combos but there was one thing that caught her eye. The skill lit up from the vacant skill bar.

"Wait, it wasn't there before."

The only hope for winning the boss. She casted the skill aiming flawlessly on the boss. Her newbie equipped scythe illuminated and grew large forming a red-colored curve. The impact of the skill after hitting the boss made the remaining mobs disappear in an instant.

Chloe was shocked. It isn't long before, her newbie scythe returned back to normal. The special skill was unprecedented.

"What's that skill? Where did it come from? What the hell did I just do?!"

Questions flooded inside her mind. She was curious about what she did and started scurrying through her locked and unlocked skill set. But curiousity killed the cat since Chloe didn't find anything on the newbie skill set.

"Where... Where was it.....", determined, Chloe opened the locked skill sets menu and scrolled down. Her eyes widened. One auxilliary skill had been unlocked.
