"This may come as a shock to you both, but we, all of us here, aren't human," Mallory spoke calmly even as she coughed out blood. "I don't have much time left, two years at most. I'll try my best to explain our situation now, ask questions after I'm done."
Keeping the squirming baby still, Mallory leaned back further into her bed with sunken eyes.
"I should start by introducing myself I suppose, I am, or was the servant of the Demon King Valefor. Valefor is dead now, along with the rest of the demon kings, killed by Baal. Before their deaths though, some of them gave their power to My Lord Valefor, allowing for his powers of thievery to reach an unprecedented level. He stole the essences of the twelve zodiacs and got twelve carriers, guardians if you will, to give birth to the new twelve."
"You two," touching Arthur and Louis' heads, Mallory continued, "Are children given to me by the Lord. You two have inherited Gemini's characteristics, although you two will grow to be very different." Pausing, Mallory looked at her children's faces which were a mixture of shock and disbelief.
"Carrying on, the Lord gave us the twelve carriers the ability to change our appearances from our true forms," Horns, wings, and a barbed tail appeared from behind her. Retracting them back she continued, "All of the carriers were succubi, and I too am one of them."
"Using our ability of charm we were given several races to mate with in order to make the best possible vessel. Because you two inherited Gemini, I had to mate with the most pure-blooded human available at the time. Similarly, I suppose one of my sisters had to mate with a leon, a lion demi-human, for Leo. And another had to mate a centaur for Sagittarius."
"Do not think that because you don't have a bloodline that you are inferior, in fact, all this bloodline bullshit comes from other races. Humans should only have four elements," Mallory spoke fiercely even though talking seemed to cause her pain. "You have a duty, a duty given by the 71 demon kings to take their thrones-", Coughing she spoke out with a wheeze, "and kill Baal."
"Although I may be able to live longer, I will die the moment you two turn ten," Mallory spoke weakly now, and feeling as though her bed was pulling her in, she closed her eyes. "I said I would answer your questions but… maybe tomorrow," Mallory said as she went to sleep.
