You can't take back a rejection

Brylinn's POV
Inspite of all the emotions running through me, I miraculously manage to maintain my glare at the wall of hotness currently staring down at me.
"Mine" He repeats to which I find myself snapping
"I heard you the first time"
At that he growled and all the emotions in his eyes morph into surprise mixed with anger. "You will not disrespect me like that she-wolf"
The way my mate spits out the word she-wolf causes me to frown and scowl
"I can talk to whoever I want, however I want to. Just because the moon goddess made the mistake of pairing me with someone doesn't mean I have to do any shit that you want"
He looks at me in utter disbelief and it's obvious that I have completely enraged him now as his eyes switch from it's usual grey to..... is that red? Taking a deep breath, he closes his eyes only to open them after a few seconds. My patience is really running out now.
After a while, he speaks again and I have to say that his words are very expected "I, Alpha Hayden Lurken hereby reject you, Brylinn Carsonn as my mate and Luna"
Wait.... He's the so-called Alpha King?
I'm not even surprised he knows my name, it's quite obvious seeing as I'm the only she-wolf able to beat up so many males.
Rolling my eyes at him, I walk up to Eva and notice that she's awake. Grabbing her hand, I haul her up and start leading her towards the forest but she suddenly stops and gasp.
Looking back, I notice her looking at the sprawled beta before turning to glare at me
"What did you do to him?" She or should I say her wolf growls.
Taken aback, I slowly piece everything together.
"Oh my goddess E, I didn't know. I thought he was kidnapping you so I got defensive"
Thankfully she relaxes and runs to him. I guess I'm not going to be able to take her back with me.
Sighing I tell her "I guess I'll be going back alone then. Don't worry I'll make sure to explain to your parents and Carson"
Upon hearing Carson's name, the asshole beside me growls possessively which reminds me of his presence.
"I, Brylinn Carsonn accept you, Hayden Lurken's rejection as my mate and Alpha" I say dismissively effectively shocking him as well as Eva
"He's.... He's your mate?" A trembling Eva asks
"Yep and like I predicted, he rejected me" I tell her nonchalantly. "Well E, I gotta go now. Good luck. I know how much you have looked forward to finding your mate and I'm so happy for you but make sure to tell him that if he hurts you today's incident will seem like a mere child's play"
With that, I hug her and start walking away inspite of her sobs. Unfortunately, I get stopped my a very toned arm blocking my path. Looking up, my hazel eyes come to clash with grey ones causing me to frown at the smirk on his stunningly beautiful face.
"I take back my rejection"
I stare at him in disbelief before yelling "you can't take back a rejection not even an hour after"
"Yes I can and I just did"
I laugh humorlessly "Is this a joke to you? You can't take back your Fucking rejection especially without my consent"
"Darling women shouldn't even know what consent is and you broke into my territory and beat up my beta so I'm pretty sure you can be considered as a threat" He says darkly and suddenly I notice a piercing pain in my neck and notice that everything starts to become woozy
"You shot me?" I ask Hayden weakly as I curse myself for letting my guard down for my mate
"Actually no I didn't. My warriors did"
He replies and tells someone "take her to the special room"
And I feel myself getting dragged away as I black out. The last thing I hear is Eva screaming my name.

So another chapter
I know this chapter doesn't really portray Bryl as exactly strong but I promise a bit more drama in the next chapter and I promise that you'll hate Hayden as much as I do
