Red and Ari were lost in the moment of the sweet kiss that they shared. The magical glow of the moss around them created an eerily beautiful contrast of shadows and lights on the two faey’s faces.

It was exhilarating, their heartbeats pounding to break free and touch the other. Red’s hand played into Ari’s hair and somehow, her delirious self pressed to deepen what had started to be a delicate kiss.

Red’s attack made Ari loose himself and all his self-restraint. Everything that he had convinced himself away from, all thrown out of the window with just Red’s needy touch and wanting mouth.

Ari pinned Red to the ground and their bodies were now pressed onto each other, legs intertwined as the elfen warrior cupped the face of his queen.

Red was ecstatic, the high of her fever somehow making her heat up and crave for physical contact. Her eyes were closed and rolled as Ari’s lips traced the lines of her jaw, down to her neck, and then up to meet her wanting mouth yet again.

Her breath hitched as she felt thousands of butterflies fluttered in her stomach and Ari’s hand unintentionally jerked away thinking he had hurt her. He moved his hand to lean on the ground but had accidentally brushed the belt bag that contained the eldermist berries.

A bunch of the berries tumbled out and tiny rolling noises echoed. Suddenly, Ari opened his eyes and realized what had happened. Red’s eyes fluttered momentarily in confusion as Ari ended the kisses and in her dizzy and foolish moment, she too came to grasp the severity of what they had done.

With her grandmama taken by daemons, Red delves deeper into the world of Faeys as they have been tasked to bring Sir Arthur to someone called Kleister Lakschmidt.

The Midsummer Games are postponed while the Faey Queen Trials is rushed. A new queen will rise out of necessity just in time as Queen Tiana dies.

The daemons are attacking the Glass Citadel.

I would like to start off that my novel is a slightly advanced modern age reimagined that will delve deeper into the world of fantasy and mythical beings. As what you have read in the synopsis, I have turned the usual mythical creatures into one general 'specie' called Faeys (because I'm such a lazy ass).

FL is a bit indecisive and lacked self-confidence and a sense of goal in the beginning chapters, but to me it is quite understandable since she didn't have a clue on the existence of faeys or that she was actually of faey descent. She didn't exactly wish to be chosen as a candidate too, and accepting the fact that you might die in the process is very hard at that.

She will find the will and a bunch of courage in the later chapters.

MLs have clashing personalities and will confuse our FL so much so please bear with her as she try to pick which elfen she is more happy with.

The Faey Queen Trials is not everything this novel will revolve around as I may have unintentionally created a complex plot where there would be lots of plot twists. Some twists might not be to your taste but I do hope they will be haha.

Now don't ask me the big Ws. I suggest you start reading the novel to find out haha.
