Red's jaw dropped with Ari's overbearing protectiveness of her. The trial hasn't even started yet but she already feels the tension the two warriors shared.
The look in Ari's eyes were a cold shift from his warm and kind demeanor. It was as if just by his glares, electric beams would shoot out and zap at Wolfe for even thinking of touching her.
She does have to admit that if Ari didn't stop Wolfe, she would have stepped away from his advance too. It was just too weird that the office hunk would suddenly move in for a kiss at her who had never been one of the popular girls.
"Chill out, fellow warrior. It isn't as if we haven't been brothers in the faey militia." Wolfe said as he backed away and returned to Noelle's side, farther from Ari and Red.
"I don't think I remember you at all. From which squadron are you from?" Ari asked as he lowered his defenses.
