Normally the Cultivators would condition their body before they absorb the outside energy and make them theirs. However this would generate impurities as the body accumulated more and more Impure Qi as the Qi itself was not a pure form of energy. This however could be solved if someone used a sufficiently high level Cultivation technique or high grade resources. However these actions would generate a cycle where that particular individual would compete with others to procure the necessary resources and techniques, thus Grudges and Karma emerged.
Those rules cannot be discarded, thus in the Cultivation of Dao of Soul Magic, those rules were also applied. However the effects were severely minimized. It was only possible because of how the Cultivation itself was designed differently from the other Cultivation method.
Dao of Soul Magic focused on Cultivation of the soul. To do this, food was needed to feed the True Soul and strengthen it. The food did not originate from the Impure material plane, rather the Chaotic Astral Plane. Something which did not originate from impurities could not give birth to another impurities. However normal humans with an Impure mind needed another form of conditioning to undergo the Cultivation of the Soul, not the body conditioning, but rather the Mind Conditioning, therefore meditation was the true Key.
After successfully cultivating the mind, each Cultivator would be able to enter their dreams consciously, through their dream they would gain the key to observe the worlds outside the Material World. Through this action, they would be able to Cultivate their True Soul by obtaining Soul Energy from the world outside the Material Plane, the Chaotic Astral Plane.
However the Chaotic Astral Plane was a very dangerous place as it was connected to many other worlds. Any random things located in that place could be a very dangerous thing for somebody. Therefore, cultivating soul energy was usually excruciatingly slow because the cultivator would need to be inside their dream to safely cultivate. However this does not apply to Little Cripple, because he received another inheritance other than memories, the Dream Space.
The Dream Space was like a boat to a fisherman who fish in the vast body water that was the ocean. The Dream Space was designed to be a safe haven to roam around the Chaotic Astral Plane and help the Cultivators to look for denser Soul energies within the Chaotic Astral Plane. Although Soul Energies originated from the Chaotic Astral Plane, it did not mean that the soul energies were abundantly available in every corner of the Chaotic Astral Plane, hence the name 'Chaotic'. There were many things floating around in the Chaotic Astral Plane, there were remnant wills, Fragments of Soul Weapons, Dream Monsters, and other fantastical things. The Dream Space was designed to shield the user from any harmful elements. Of Course it would change if the user were to exit the Dream Space on their own.
Because of its strength, the Dream Spaces promised a safe heaven inside the Chaotic Astral Plane, however it also limits the scope of a possible place to explore. There were many limitations of being inside the Dream Spaces, for example the user could not explore the specially designed inheritance ground built inside the Dream space. Therefore in a lot of scenarios, the user sometimes needed to get out of the safety of the Dream Space. However, for the time being, the question of exploration did not need to be asked, because the third inheritance was a small amount of Would Energy, enough for the user to reach a certain level in his Cultivation.
…..
Different from other Cultivation methods, The Cultivation of Dao of Soul Magic did not start from Complex to Simple, rather it emphasised Cultivation from Simple to Complex. The simple aspect of Cultivation was to understand oneself before understanding other things and other beings. Hence, the first thing needed was not to Cultivate power or martial technique, rather to Cultivate the mind, power was just a byproduct of Cultivation itself, nothing more, nothing less.
The Cultivation itself was not divided by powers, but rather by masteries. Junior, Master, Grandmaster, Ancestor and Transcendence. Being a junior meant that the Cultivator was able to Cultivate the Soul Energy to fortify and strengthen the True Soul. In this level the cultivator was able to manifest the Soul Flame to the physical world and aid the cultivator to do many things. It was mainly to forge the body and by extension, purify the Energy. However the functions of soul fire did not stop there, for a fighter, Soul Fire can be used as the means to attack or defence. Not only that, the Cultivation of the Soul in this level would grant the user the ability to use the sixth sense.
The term Sixth Sense was commonly misunderstood by the mortals. The Sixth Sense did not limit itself from 'Intuition', it was merely one aspect of Sixth Sense. To understand the Sixth Sense was to understand the relation between soul and body.
Soul in its truest form, did not have a shape, body however did. Related to the body, the pure soul was tainted by the impure physical form of the body. However, due to the origin of all things that was the material and the spiritual originated from the Ultimate Source, Body and Soul were actually related. Through the Universal Laws of Karma, souls underwent samsara that created the connection of the pure Soul and the impure Body. Due to this, Souls would manifest itself in many different forms, like Human, animals, Plants, Demon, Heavenly Beings and many more, therefore the shape of their physical body was also influenced by Karma. Thus the body gained properties like senses matching to their physical identities.
The one who was blessed with the Sixth was actually gaining all their senses in accordance to their Worldly Karma. That means using their spiritual body, they can interact with the material world. Crudely speaking they could taste, touch, hear, see and speak using their spiritual body. The advantage of doing all of that using a spiritual body rather than a physical body was the effect. Using the Spiritual body to see the outside world was way more clear than using the physical body. Some blessed people are even capable of seeing past the restriction of space and time, thus the phenomenon of psychic, seer, and other supernatural individuals in the mortal worlds. However blessed people rarely could control their power, even if they could, the sixth sense would only manifest itself in a limited form, for example a blessed person would only able to activate their hearing sense rather than all five of them, thus sometimes they were able to hear the voices of animals or supernatural beings, sometimes they could also use of this advantage to communicate with them, the phenomenon of horse whisperer would be one example.
However, using the Cultivation of Dao of Soul Magic, the Cultivator would be able to gain all five senses of their Spiritual Body. The mastery of this Cultivation method would only increase the advantage of the spiritual body. For example in the Master level they would be able to manifest a strong enough spiritual pressure to affect other beings. In the Grandmaster level the Cultivator would be able to manifest a Spiritual Domain that could create a mini spiritual world. Therefore the advantages of being such a Cultivator would be immense. In the ancestor level they could build a Complete Dream World to host other spiritual body. Therefore, in terms of power, the three levels of Junior, Grandmaster and Ancestors were equal to Three Lower Level, Three Middle Level and Three Upper Level of other Cultivation methods, and The Transcendence level existed above and beyond it. To top it all off, a Cultivator of Dao of Soul Magic simultaneously trained in Cultivation of Body and Energy making him the nightmares of other Cultivators who stood in from of him as enemies.
