Run and escape only to be beaten another day or plead for mercy making promises to forever be his slave and still get beaten up. Yeah I'm taking the first option.

I quickly jump on my feet hoping to make a beeline for the janitor's closet, when I'm suddenly yanked back by my hair - ouch! this mop of brown hasn't seen a saloon in months. Mind being gentle?

Twisted Secrets

Dedicated to all my wonderful readers. Please read the note beneath the chapter, I'm hoping it touches someone. 💜

The car ride to school is extremely quiet. No one has said a word and it's quite obvious that Luke is angry. Our friends are barely keeping shut. They badly want to know what is going on but none of them has said a word.

When we get to school, Luke leaves us behind and honestly I don't know if to go after him or not. I still stand on my decision not to date him. No amount of happiness is worth any of their lives.

I know my friends would probably argue that my parents lived through this their entire lives and were happy until they died. But I saw the way Don Alonso used my father to carry out whatever kills he wanted and I know inside of me that my dad did it for us. I won't let my friends go through that. I can't wait for all of this to be over. When I'm done with Nikon, he'll regret covering up my father's death.
