Betrayal is a wound that every man has felt, I wrote this story to show how it can make a man strong.

In 17th century France, the rich nobles control the world with a magic system called "Artifacts". Prince an innocent hearted prince of the Bourbon Kingdom, one day has his life thrown into chaos by betrayal, and inherits an "Artifact" that is the ancient spirit of "The Dark King". Through misfortune after misfortune, Prince eventually loses everything and starts his life over without a royal name. Prince vows to make his way back to the top hiding amongst the everyday people of France.

Prince is a Japanese style light novel based on Machiavelli’s classic "The Prince". Although this work takes influence from it, the story, quotes, and characters are all completely original. It is mostly the concept of good and evil that is borrowed from Machiavelli.

The Kind Prince Who Became An Evil Lord of Darkness

"Are we all in agreement?" Prince said to his group of friends.

They each looked at one another, absolutely mind blown at Prince's plan.

"Are you sure things will turn out this way?" Jimi asked. "What if your wrong?"

"If I'm wrong, you take your woman and run out of here, my plan still accounts for that much at least" Prince said.

"True" Jimi said scratching his chin. "You can count me in then"

"But what he's asking for is… treacherous" Marlin said. "Your going to have to kill a lot of people… a lot of innocent people" Marlin said.

"My people are bound in chains everyday being killed by the hundreds" Jimi retorted. "Where is your outrage for that?"

"I… I guess I when you put it like that…"

"There is no I guess" Jimi said. "Your people are holding my people bondage, anyone who supports that is not innocent in my eyes, I don't care whether or not my enemy has a wife or a family! My wife and Family are imprisoned!" Jimi yelled.
