Chapter 80: Black Sheep

"Upon gaining the throne of the Byzantine empire, The Emperor Constantine created an era of peace and tranquility" Zenos said addressing the battlefield.

"Men! Get out of here!" Phillip yelled

"Like a Shepard, he herded the people around him guiding them with religion and a codes of ethics that placed them into neatly assembled hierarchies under his dominion."

A grave panic struck the battlefield, as men on both sides started running for their lives.

"Like blind sheep! The people adopted his religion and believed that to be ruled under one powerful man was the way of the world! They believed such was the will of God!" Zenos said.

"But there were some... few... who rejected this way of living! Those who sought to live how they wanted! Outside of religion and the dominion of man!"

"They were cast out as outcasts, criminals and were called black sheep, the unwanted heretics of society's norms."
