Chapter: 193: Marls III

Wasting no time, Marlin charged forward, blade in hand, as a fiery sundance erupted from his palm, stretching far into the heavens. The towering pillar of flame scorched the earth in his wake, leaving a trail of smoldering fire behind him as he hurtled toward his opponent.

Ragnar, his red skin grotesquely peeling and warping from the intense heat, stood firm, planting his feet as if to brace for impact. The chainmail draped over his shoulders began to char and melt, the embers chewing through the metal like paper. And yet, Ragnar's expression was defiant, his lips curling into a sinister grin.

"I do not fear the flames, boy," Ragnar growled. His guttural voice rumbled like an avalanche. "For the flames are where I will find my eternal rest. You are merely welcoming me home!"
