Chapter 204: The Mounteclair Ball V

"I know you and Marlin have never formally met," Montclair began, choosing his words carefully. "But you two share certain... similarities. And I believe you are uniquely positioned to help him."

As Montclair spoke, the cards atop the mantelpiece began to shuffle and reassemble themselves, forming a new series of words.

Prince's eyes flickered to the words, his lips tightening into a firm line. "And what resources might I be able to provide him?" he asked, shaking his head. "The Black Sheep is a very, very formidable group. I have no army. I have no men to send. I have friends, yes—but those friends have their own lives, their own goals. I cannot simply ask them to protect this brother of yours. So, tell me, Duke Montclair, what is it you seek from me specifically?"
