Chapter 53

He held on to it for awhile and upon releasing it, he opened his eyes and pondered on mine.

"All I want is to be with you" he said softly. It was my turn to search his face.

He reached out to me and gently grabbed me by my arms pulling me closer to him just close enough that I could almost smell his breath.

"I didn't want to take advantage of you," I looked away "you know that"

"I allowed it" I countered in a low tone.

"Still," he went on "I'm sorry if I had permitted that," he paused "but I have no regrets about what happened"

I didn't have anything to say. Silence had fallen around us and all I could hear was the sound of our inhales and exhales. I could even almost hear my heart beating fast in my chest.

"Meg" Andy broke the silence calling my name and my attention.

I found him staring, his eyes piercing me in place.
