I hit my cheeks repeatedly trying to shun those thoughts off. I got nothing but stinging pain birthed from my cheeks. I wore a dark green t-shirt and a pair of white fitting trousers. I didn't do much with my hair, leaving it to flow across my shoulders. As I made to jump to my king-size bed, a knock came in. I paused and my heart skipped a beat. It was still around seven just a few minutes before breakfast. I gulped down my saliva, wondering if I should just stay quiet or face him now. But just the thought of it, my heart began pounding again.
"Miss Maya." Lila toned as she knocked again and I heaved a sigh of relief. I walked to the door, unlocking it. There she was with her accustomed bright countenance.
"Good morning." She greeted.
"Morning." I only managed to flash her a tiny smile.
"Can I come in?" She asked and I nodded before parting ways for her. I shut the door while she took a seat on one of the chairs a few meters away from my bed.
