Chapter one

Kariel POV

"hey wakey wakey guys its our birthday today!"I sang as I shake them one by one and they all groan except mariel who just got up with her usual poker face and went to her drower and pick her book then sat on a corner and read again

Well that's her "hey gab,hey mig wake up!"I said still shaking them so gab pick a pillow and cover it on his ears while mig sat with a frown,grr this two "hey wake up gab it's our birthday today so let's have fun outside!"I said as I pull gab up "sis I'm still sleepy and hungry"and with that my stomach growl and so do they even mariel but she still stay expressionless

"hey gab wake up!"I said as I shake mig "it's our birthday today so wakey wakey!"I said still shaking them "what's the point?nobady cares anyway even our own parents doesn't care and I bet that if ever fariya witch is coming here she will only hurt us"mig said as he go back to his sleeping position again

"has fariya arrive yet?"I ask but they shook their head so I sigh "I'm hungry"I mumbled "yeah being hit is much more better than to starve"mig said so gab grab his pillow,I grab my ponytail and mariel grab a pencil and we throw it to him "DON'T SAY THAT!"we shout but he just laugh at us "c'mon guys just kidding"but we just glare at him while mariel just stare at him expressionless

"ok let's go to the forest and find something to eat"mig said as he get up "yeah I'm sure the maids won't feed us here"I said "but what if there's no more fruits in the forest?"oh yeah I remember that the maids get food at the forest instead of buying but they don't gave us any only when fariya is here and fariya always hit us when she's here but at least we didn't starve

"market"we look at mariel as she said that "what will we do there?wait if your planning to steal food there or money to mom so we won't starve I'm sorry mariel but even I'm starving to death I'll pass"I said historically but she just look at me expressionless

"ok ok I'll stop,so why market?"I ask "to sell this"she said as she point at her drawings "no mariel we won't"we answered,well we know how much she treasured those drawings "we will period"she said and put her book aside "besides you guys"she stop when her stomach growl "are hungry"she pause again while putting her hands in her stomach

we can see that she has been stopping to collapse because it's obvious that she has been starving since yesterday "since yesterday"and with that she collapse "MARIEL!"we called her and hurriedly went to her and then we carry her and about to put her in bed when we heard something crack

"oh no quickly lets hide"and we open the secret door and hurriedly put mariel inside when we shut the door fariya just opened the door of our room "lady fariya they aren't there!"we heard the maids stopping fariya well they act as of they care but in reality they just don't want to clean our room

"mariel!gabriel!kariel!miguel where are you?!"she shout and it's obvious from her voice that she's drunk "my lady they aren't here"a maid said "where are they?!"fariya shout "we don't know"the maids answered "ugh stupid maids where are they?!"we heard her footsteps getting away so we sigh in relief and look at mariel who's now away because of the noise

"Hey you ok"I ask and she just nod "just a—"her stmach growl "bit hungry"she finish in a poker face and blank voice so we sigh "let's go and find something to eat"mig said "but what if fariya came again?and hurt us?"I ask shakingly "how about we pack our things and leave this place?"gab suggest so mig punch him lightly "ouch,what was that for?"or not

"tsk your asking us to leave?were just six year old in this country mig also what job do you think outside would let a six year old child work?"mig scold him but gab just frown "yeah yeah"gab said in a duh tone "talents"we look at mariel when she said that "what talent are you talking about mariel?"mig ask "sing"she reply

"you mean we earn by performing?"gab said and mariel nod "nice suggestion sis!"mig said so again he got a punch from gab "what is it again?"mig said as he frown while massaging his head "tsk"and turn to mariel "don't you like singing?"gab ask her and mariel nod

"then why suggest us to perform using singing?"gab ask "I'm not performing"she said and we look at her with a drop jaw "what?but didn't you said you want us to perform using singing?"I said "didn't say that"she said emotionless "then what will you do to earn?i'm sure you won't agree not to do anything"mig said as he stretch then a loud noise came out "the four of you came out!"we heard fariya shout "whooo luckily were talking by telepathy"yep we are talking by telepathy

We heard something crack and so many noises of something which I guess fariya break "ugh!where are they?!"and we heard her left the room and lock it "you won't come out?then I'll lock you up"we heard her say and we heard footsteps going away so we hurriedly get out of our hiding place "hurry up we better leave now"mig said in a whisper-shout tone so we nodded and pick our bags which we personaly sew and put are stuff in it

we were done packing when we saw mariel looking for something "mariel is a problem?"gab ask "my favourite book"she replied and didn't even glance at gab "let us help you find it"and we started searching for it when I saw a broken book at the bottom of the door and I know what book is it I took it "mariel"I call her in a sad tone so she look at me "did you-"she didn't finish her sentence when she saw the book on my hand "where did you"and stare at the book in my hand so I gave it to her

"found it"she whisper "bottom of that"I said and point at the door so she sigh heavily and said "let's leave"in a blank face and tone and open the window,yep were leaving and were going to use the window but were not going to use anything cause were going to jump "ready?"gab ask"yes"mig and I answer while mariel just nod "ok when say 3 we jump"and he started to count "three!"then we jump

We land safely since were already used to this kind of stuff,as we land to the top of the wall we balance our self so we won't fall then we heard the maids running "what's going on?"gab said and look at where the maids are running "what happen to Fariya?"we heard a maid ask "I don't know but let's just hurry"and they run so we frown except for mariel who was til expressionless "let's leave"she said coldly "wait let's know what happen first "I said

But they just shook their head so I frown "why?"I ask "maybe it's a trap"mig anwer"or she has a wicked plan to us"gab said so I sigh "ok"I said as I shrug "so let's leave now before they see us"mig said and we just nod and went to the forest

While we we're walking in the forest I notice that it was getting dark"great just great"I say "so what now?"I ask them but they just shrugged well except mariel who always do poker face "what about we built a tent?you know for the night"mig suggest which make our face light up

"but wht materials should wesearch for the tent?"I ask "we need some wood long sticks and some big leaves for the tent and we need some woods also and some flint stone for making fire"mig said while reading his note that has the list of his crafts

"oh ok let's search then!:"I said "wait kariel we need to team up"gab said "ok then I will team up with mariel"I said joyfully "nah-uh you will team up with me and those two will team up since they both are quiet" he said and I saw mig frown "atleast I'm not noisy as you are"mig snorted and so I turn to gab "ok fine"I said and pick my bag "ok we need to separate then,good luck you latyer guys!"I said and we left

Fast forward

We already had the things we needed and we finish doing our tent and the fire is already set so we're now resting at one of the tree branch looking at the palace while eating some fruits as a lunch amd dinner"do you think our father really abandoned us?"gab seriously said using telepathy "why?"we ask him

"you see fariya isn't a good mother to us and she only hit us when she see's us so I think she just snatch us from the palace"he said so mig laugh sarcastically so they all look at me "everyone in the argacia knows that we are abandoned from the palace cause we're illegitimate child that's why the maids there dare to bully and starve us when fariya isn't there"he said while playing with the leaves in his hand

"yeah even in our birthday no one has ever greet us a happy birthday except our selves,there's no mother to cook for us,no father to work for us and no friends to tell our problems to only us"I said remembering our past life

That's right nobody cares about us, our mother who we're with us sometimes would only hit us even in this kind of occasion and even our own father abandoned us and we know nothing about him except that he has a silver white hair and a cold as an ice voice and expression which we think where mariel get from and that he's the emperor of this land and that he's the one who gave us name

I'm Kariel Jade Vlaxtone the first princess of this empire "yeah I wish it's all a dream" and he's Gabriel Jagren Vlaxtone the fourth prince of this empire or gab in short"me too" that's Miguel Hagren Vlaxtone the fifth and last prince of this empire or mig in short"hmm"and Mariel Ruby Vlaxtone the second and last princess of this empire

We has a royal blood but we we're far from being treat like a royal

Third person POV

An hour before before lunch

"what?!she's dead already?!"magnus said in surprise "yes your majesty"the knight said "then what are you doing?go get my children there"magnus ordered and the knight bow and say "as you wish your majesty"and it left then his son walk in

"hello father"he greet "andrew wht bring you here?"magnus questioned as he flip some paper and sign "well I happen to hear that you order a knight to get them"Andrew answer "yeah?so what"magnus said not looking to his son "can I come with them?"

When Andrew said that magnus look at him seriously "pretty please?"Andrew insist and act cute so magnus sigh "alright then hurry up and follow them"magnus said which made Andrew jump and punch the air "thanks father"then it left and magnus just sigh "they really want to meet them"he only say and went back to what he's doing

Andrew POV

We we're at the argacia palace and saw fariya body lying on the ground lifeless,until now I'm confuse of how did she die? "greetings to second imperial prince"the maids said but I don't care "find them"I order the guards and they start searching for them and so do I,I help them search them

Fast forward

It has been an hour yet we still don't know where they are and it's already getting dark "have you found them?"I ask the guards and they all shook their heads so I sigh heavily I wonder where are they "ok let's go back and return tommorow"I said and they all nod their heads and we left

While we are having our journey to the palace I saw a strange thing in the middle of the woods so I turn to my guards "you guys go on I'll just have a walk for a while"I said "but your high—"I cut him off "just do as I say"I said and left them

I heard their horse footsteps going away so I tie my horse at one of the tree's and went closer to the thing I saw earlier,when I came close enough I saw a little triangle house made by some big leaves and stick also there's a fire in being surrounded by some pebbles and a stick that was standing

I was about to come even more close when I heard someone laugh so I search for it "there must be someone here"I whisper to myself "yeah I wish it's all a dream"I heard so I keep searching until "me too"I look up and saw four kids there so I quickly climb up
