Chapter 3: Shadows

POV: 3rd person

"Damn it Unit-1! How in the hell do I get out of here!?" Yells our slightly sadistic main character. Before Unit-1 gets to respond she leans against a wall only to accidentally open a secret door that seems too lead outside.

[IT IS RIGHT THERE HOST] Unit-1 says still not able to convey emotions through words but is still quite amused.

"Oh shut it you hunk of junk. I found it you did nothing. Now which direction should I head?" Frau asks looking from side to side seeing two different areas of great contrast. With one side being a lush forest filled with vitality and the other side being a barren desert seemingly void of life.

[I WOULD RECOMMEND THE FOREST AS THE DESERT IS STILL TO MUCH FOR YOU. I MUST ALSO INFORM YOU THAT YOUR ABILITY TO BRING LEGENDS AND MYTHS TO LIFE HAS RESTRICTIONS, THE FIRST BEING YOU CAN ONLY DO IT THREE TIMES. THE SECOND ONE RESTRICTS YOU FROM BRINGING ANYTHING THAT EVEN HAS A TRACE OF DIVINITY. THE LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT ONE RESTRICTS YOU BY MAKING YOU SACRIFICE SOMETHING IN ORDER TO SUMMON THAT LEGEND OR MYTH. THE SACRIFICE WILL AFECT HOW MANY OF THAT BEING YOU SUMMON OR HOW MUCH OF THAT BEINGS STRENGTH IT RETAINS.] Unit-1 informs Frau wiping any outrageous thoughts of summoning god like beings to do her bidding.

"Damn you really gonna do me like that? Fine I see how it is. But no worries I got this. I have everything planned out- well most things... ok only a bit, but still I got this." Frau says

semi-confidently hoping she's able to use her ability on things not from her old world.

As Frau walks toward the looking for anything to use as a sacrifice only to find nothing but trees and some rocks. While there are mushrooms and other stuff here and there they look really poisonous and should not be touched without info. As Frau continues to roam the forest she comes across the dead body of a bear with a large scar on its stomach. Seeing this she contemplates on how much value this would have as a sacrifice and decides to bring it to the temple.

After a few hours of work she manages to bring the bear to the temple not realizing the slight increase in strength. She goes back out to find more and decides to gather info from Unit-1.

"Hey Unit-1 what mushrooms and herbs here are of value?" Frau asks hoping for things to marked in some way instead of an explanation.

[I SHALL MARK ALL FLORA BY MAKING THEM HAVE A SLIGHT GLOW . THAT SHOULD HELP IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING HOST.] Unit-1 says while things in the forest start lighting up making Frau squint her eyes as the forest got really bright.

"Thanks can you turn the brightness down a little please this is pissing me of." Frau says clearly irritated.

[THE BRIGHTNESS IS SET BUT INSTEAD OF LIGHT I SHALL HAVE A MARK ON THE SURFACE OF WHAT YOU CAN GRAB.] Unit-1 responds as the light dies down with a mark appearing on the surface of some herbs and other flora.

"That's much better. Ok let's get to work then." Frau says not realizing that she is being stalked by something.

A couple hours later she goes back the to the temple with a bunch of flora and her privates finally covered by some large leaves she found. After putting anything of value in a pile she then calls out Unit-1 ready to use her ability for the first time.

"Unit-1 use everything I gathered to bring the Veklin tribe to life. But before you do that tell me how many will appear." Frau speaks ready for her new servants.

[WITH WHAT YOU HAVE GATHER YOU CAN ONLY SUMMON 1. THE VEKLIN TRIBE IS OF HIGH STANDING AND JUST ONE IS ENOUGH YOU CAN HELP THEM REPRODUCE IF NEED BE AS THAT IS ONE OF THINGS YOUR BODY IS MADE FOR.] Unit-1 says not realizing the slight misunderstanding that was created.

"WHAT NO I'M NOT GONNA HAVE SEX WITH THEM WHY SHOULD I DO THAT!" Frau yells out extremely angry with Unit-1.

[APOLOGIES FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDING HOST. YOU DON'T HAVE T HAVE INTERCOURSE WITH THEM TO HELP THEM REPRODUCE INSTEAD YOU TAKE THIER BLOOD AND INSERT IT INTO AN EGG THAT WILL FORM FROM YOUR HANDS. THIS EGG CAN BE USED AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT BUT INTERCOURSE WITH THE RACE IS A BETTER METHOD AS ANY BEING BORN FROM YOUR CURRENT BODY WILL HAVE IMMENSE TALENT AND WILL BE BORN WITH ABNORMAL STRENGTH AND SPEED.] Unit-1 responds while it's conscious feels a bit embarrassed about the misunderstanding.

"Ok that's good to know. Then summon that one I'll create an egg after talking to the Veklin." Frau says eager to see what a Veklin looks like.

[UNDERSTOOD HOST I SHALL ACTIVATE YOUR ABILITY FOR YOU. SACRIFICING ALL MATERIALS. DONE CREATING BODY AND SOUL OF VEKLIN.] Unit-1 says as the materials fly into the air vaporizing and turning into new materials forming into a chrysalis that seems to be made of wood and stone.

"I'm going to gather more materials for them to use tell me when they get out." Frau commands exiting the area.
