Establishing My Foundation

A day after Lavell had arrived at the Aldrich manor. . . Wake up boy, it is time for you to begin your cultivation. According to your previous parents, before when you would try cultivating, you would feel this unbearable pain, correct? Lavell nods, while sitting on his bed.

There are many stages of cultivation, such as Pure Mind, Internal Lunar, Emerald Silver, Enchanted Dream, and Azure River. The beginning stage Pure Mind, has up to ten realms. You must break through all ten realms in order, to achieve a breakthrough into the next stage.

Establishing a foundation, is the very first thing a cultivator must do, or their body will go through endless torment trying to cultivate. Once you establish a foundation, something within your body unlocks, allowing QI, spiritual energy, and even chi to flow and pass through your body.

The first three realms of Pure Mind, will allow the cultivator to lift that of two trucks worth, and run as fast as a cheetah. You mean once I establish a foundation, and get to the third realm of Pure Mind, that I can really do that! Lavell jumped out of his bed, radiating excitement.

"Where to, where to, where to", Lavell shouted over and over again. I'll be taking you to the Owlfeather Garden, this place is always brimming with spiritual energy. And is a safe environment, which I can watch and monitor your foundation establishment, and cultivation.

Lavell and Master Aldrich, were accompanied by Madeline, who was there serving as their driver. Lavell, Master Aldrich and Madeline shortly arrived at Owlfeather Garden. Now Lavell, I am going to have you chose among these three ways of establishing a foundation.

In order to not confuse you too much, I'll only say there names aloud, they are the Twin Surge arts, Venom Retribution arts, and the Heaven Basilisk arts. Which do you choose? Umm, I'll go with the Heaven Basilisk arts! Good choice indeed, alright now let use begin, by that I mean step out of the car.

Alright, now Lavell, sit down and beside this tree, and relax. Calm and empty your mind, then begin to absorb the spiritual energy from within the air. Within your mind you should see the spiritual energy's color, and as it slowly begins to fade away. But truly it's being absorbed by that of your body. Master Aldrich began further mentoring Lavell down the path of the Heaven Basilisk arts. Lavell and Master Aldrich go at for three days straight, until Lavell finally establishes his Heaven Basilisk foundation.

I'm impressed Lavell, it took me over a week to establish my foundation. Master, only a week, it took me over a month, you are both very talented?! Good Lavell, now that you've established a foundation using spiritual energy, you've obtained an affinity for it. Seeing as you've only established your foundation with it, your affinity should be around five or ten percent. COOL!

Young master, try absorbing some spiritual energy, this way will be sure on which percent you have, having ten percent will be a very good start. Lavell begins to absorb spiritual energy, like it's candy! His percent, it's... t-thirty percent?! Good, as expected my boy! Is it good to have thirty percent? Clearly Aldrich and Madeline knew something Lavell didn't. Yes, of course young master, this not only will speed up your cultivation, but it's better than mine, when I first gained an affinity to chi. Then, what was your affinity percent? Sigh, mine was five. Suddenly Madeline began to feel a bit depressed, although she was still happy for Lavell.

Alright, now Madeline would you take us home. I wish to let Lavell chose something special out of my exclusive magical treasures, he should at least be able to handle one. A-A magical treasure?! What's that, Lavell asked, because once again Aldrich and Madeline knew something he did not.

On the car ride back to the Aldrich manor, Aldrich began to explain. . . QI defensive treasures, and QI initiative treasures, both fall under the category of magical treasures. Yes, there are more than just those, there are armor and weapons. Armor and weapons that both take QI, anything that takes QI in order to properly function are called magical treasure, no matter what they might be. Anything that does not take QI in order to operate are just treasures.

That should about sum it up for you, alright, here we are. Before entering Aldrich told Madeline she could take one thing from his treasures as well. Now that depressed Madeline was gone, and she was brimming with excitement.
