- When elephants die

''Death, by Adrena Calero

Is death something you fear? Something that keeps you sleepless at night, when you think about it? It's a funny thing, death. It's the second most natural thing in the world, after birth. And it's inevitable. We all die someday. As we should. It's the circle, and the rollercoaster that ends, as it reaches its destination.

When elephants die, they mourn together in a group. In fact, they bury the corpse of the diseased, and remain with the body for some time afterwards. Somehow it soothes me to think, that we aren't that different from the wild animals after all. And in the end, we all end up the same place.

In the dirt, alone, in the darkness. After some time, the planet will eat us, and give the earth new life, somewhere else. In a new birth, where a new circle begins.
