Chapter 25 - Justice

A wave of silence passes the siblings as they continued to stare at each other.

"Alright." The brother finally gives in, sighing while nodding his head, "So what exactly is the mission within Hell's training?" He directs his gaze behind his sister to the area where the gate had been. A slight shiver running down his spine as he recalled the soul-crushing pressure he had felt from simply standing near it.

"A survival one." The sister revealed, "Beyond that gate lied a whole separate world. One filled to the brim with real monsters. The top predators from all corners of this universe gathered in one single world. From what I gathered, all that is required is to survive for a certain period of time."

The brother frowned, "You trust that he's going to make it alive out of a world like that?"

"Of course." The sister smiled, "He said so himself. When he comes back, there will be bloodshed."

"But you don't know how long he's going to be in there… what if time runs differently and he ends up coming back after 10,000 years…Are you able to wait for his return?" He inquired,

"No matter if it's 1, 10, or even 10 million years. I will continue to wait." She replied, "It's not like there's anything else to do in this cage."

Her brother out a small chuckle at her answer, "You're not wrong." The tension in the air softened as they both began laughing, finally able to relax once more.

"So what did you do with those heads you brought back?" The sister Suddenly asked, leaning against her brother's shoulder as they walked out of the giant chapel-like hall together.

A wide smile and a glint of excitement arose from the brother's eyes as he began walking quicker, "Follow me, I'll show you," He urged her over, disappearing through a corridor, followed closely behind by his sister.

"From this day on, I hereby announce the formation of the world's first guild, Justice!" A loud shout rang out from a speaker, inciting a chorus of cheer from the crowd below.

"I, Fable Scarn as Guild Leader of Justice has elected Rein Eqalium as Vice Leader and Sarah Elori as the Guild's Head Secretary. For those who wish to join our guild, our sign-up forms have been put up on our website. We hope to see you all soon." Fable incited another round of cheers as he put down his microphone and turned to look at his two friends standing on the side of the stage with a proud look.

"Good job!" They gestured, as he walked towards them was a smile. "We're going to be busy this week. Get ready for some all-nighters," He chuckled, watching his friend's face instantly turn from an elated to a daunting expression as reality set in.

"The responsibility of creating a guild. We'd better get used to it." Fable chuckled, giving Sarah a light hug as they walked backstage to the congratulations of the stage workers and staff.

"Anyways, how's your situation back home?" Fable suddenly asked Sarah as he sat down on a small stool, accepting a cup of tea from a stage worker.

Sarah's expression darkened as she lowered her head, her eyes welling up, "No," She let out a small whisper as she lightly shook her head, "My brother's still missing. There's still no sightings of him."

Fable and Rein gave each other a concerned glance, "It's been 2 months since he was declared missing, right? With not a single sighting of him for 2 months, this may be more than just a missing person. We'd have to assume the worst…"

"He's not dead!" Sarah exclaimed, wiping her tears as she angrily glared at the two before her, "I know he's not dead. My brother doesn't die that easily! I don't know what happened to him, but I know that my dad is hiding something." She unintentionally revealed, causing the eyebrows of both Fable and Rein to rise.

"You think your dad might be hiding him?"

"Well, I don't know. The night my brother disappeared, my dad came back home more frustrated and angry than usual. He wouldn't talk about it, and later that day when we became worried after realizing my brother had gone missing my dad acted unusually. I don't know if this was the right word, but guilty almost. I know something's going on, I don't know what, but I do know my dad is involved in this somehow."

"Your dad was the Army Commander right?" Fable confirmed, taking out his phone.

"Mhm," Sarah replied.

He began typing a few words into a search bar and scrolled through the page.

"Well, he was assigned a mission on that date." He muttered, tapping a link before frowning, "It's Confidential on the highest level… I can't access it."

Rein raised an eyebrow, "Even you can't access it?"

Fable nodded before looking back at Sarah, "Something is definitely going on. We'll figure it out." He placed a hand on her cheeks, "For now, focus on something else. Applications are pouring in. You should start sorting them out as soon as possible. Miss Head Secretary. I'll work this out for you."

Sarah lowered her gaze as she placed her hands on Fables, "Thank you." She muttered, giving him a smile before turning and looking around, "Now, I need to find a laptop or something." She cleared her throat and calmed herself down. However, before she could even begin her search,

*BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!*

An ear-piercing alarm rang out from her pockets as did Fable and Rein.

"A gate!" They sprung up from their seats and bolted out the metal door, instinctively grabbing their gears from its stand and rushing towards the gate location.

"On our left!" Fable shouted, looking down at the gate tracer and turning a corner, coming face to face with a Purple gate.

"Oh, It's just a D Ranked," Rein said, coming to a halt. "I'll be able to take care of this one alone. You two can check out the new office. I'll join in around…" He gave it a thought, "Around an hour at most."

A look of disappointment could be seen on both Sarah and Fable's faces as they agreed to the arrangement, turning back around to walk back towards the direction they arrived.

"That was a waste of time," Sarah muttered, looking over at Fable, "So where's this new office you two been talking about?"

Fable took out his phone again, tapping a few times and presenting a map on its screen. "Just a few minutes from here." He said, reaching his hand out, "It's been a while since we've been along like this. Shall we go together?" He gave her a sweet smile as Sarah intertwined her own fingers with his without hesitation.

"Let's us go, my Prince Charming," She laughed, giving him a kiss on the lips as they held hands and made their way towards their destination.
