CH.20-He Was Innocent

Aanya's parents were stunned, after hearing the name, their faces turned pale with horrifying. They exchanged glances.

After a few seconds, Steve Stephen's face turned red with anger, he gritted his teeth "That bastard!! He came back into our daughter's life again to ruin her happiness?!" He stood up, clenching his fists where his bulging veins could be seen clearly.

There was anger and hatred on his face, while Riya Stephen had a painful expression and tears in her eyes for her daughter.

Seeing their expression Victor Robertson understood that they didn't know about their daughter's wrong deed.

Just with their miserably, they left his place with their shocked and angry expression on their dead legs.

His mother and father approached him "Aaron Smith, Who is he?" They both asked at the same time, they didn't care who was him, they only cared about his son, after all, he was a robber who robbed their son's happiness.

"Nothing for us, but for them, very important," a faint voice forcefully pushed by his tongue. At this moment he didn't want to face any kind of interrogation.

His parents looked at each other faces and couldn't understand anything. But seeing his gloomy expression they felt heartache.

His mother gently said "Okay enough, all this very hard for you, now you take your rest."

Victor Robertson nodded, leaned against his bed and his parents left.

After that, he closed his eyes and kept thinking about Aanya...

He fell for her at first sight. He remembered three years ago when he went to an orphanage to give some charity, where he first encounter her.

Wearing gloves in her hands, she was planting a few plants in the orphanage's garden with some children.

She was wearing a white floral printed frock, her head was covered with a hat.

At that time he didn't know that she was the one and only daughter of a big industrialist.

He thought she was just an ordinary girl because the way she was working with children, laughing, smiling, and playing with them it make her separate from those big missy from the riches family who were disdained from poverty.

He was mesmerized by her beauty and lost his heart and mind after seeing her and falling for her, but after knowing her reality he fell for her character too.

But what he heard from her that was beyond his imagination. How could she hate someone so much that she send him to jail by falsely accused, just because he was... Poor?

Why he couldn't know about her real personality?

How was she able to hide her real personality for so many years, did he become so blind in her love that he could not see her truth?

He felt sorry for Aaron Smith and also for himself.

He was in this thought that sleep knocked and overpowered him.

The next morning he was sleeping till late when one of his servants came and woke him up and told him that someone had come to meet him.

As soon as he heard the name of the person coming, he immediately called that person to his room.

The servant left and after a while, he escorted a woman.

"How are you?" As the woman came in she asked Victor Robertson.

He showed her his bandaged hand "Fine, so what brings you here, Mrs. Selina Rowan?"

"Of course, I'm here to greet you." Said Selina Swan who became Selina Rowan after marriage.

She saw his raised brows, and after a few seconds she slowly told him "Last night Mrs. Stephen called me and told me that Aanya married to Aaron Smith, and you are witnessed?"

Victor Robertson clamped his lips to make a fine line and nodded.

"Did he happily wedded her or did you find any suspicious about their wedding?" Selina Swan reluctantly asked, but instantly she explained "Don't get me wrong, you know once he tried to rape her and due to it he went to prison." But her voice was shaking.

Hearing it Victor Robertson raised his brows and fixed his gaze on her, "He was innocent!" His words were carrying extra pressure.

As he said Selina Swan flinched back, cold sweats started appearing on her forehead and she fisted her clothes nervously.

Her reaction was cleared. Now Victor Robertson was certain, she knew Aanya's dirty deed.
