Gwenith Patton

It was finally time for Gwenith to finish packing and move to be with her grandfather to spend more time with him. She was so excited tat she almost forgot to go to the diner and say good bye to everyone. After her good byes, she got into her car, took one last l9ok at her town, and drove off to her new destination, West Virginia.

It was about a two day drive to her grandfathers house, and oh how she wished he had a diving companion to talk to and take over driving when he gets tired. She knew it was dangerous and illegal to pick up hitch hikers, so that was out of the question. Not that she would tat in the first place. I wish she could see and hear me so i could at least be her talking companion. Once we got onto the highway, it was just a matter of a few days until we get there and it was going to be a loooong quiet drive. Or so I thought.

Once she turned on the radio, she started to sing loudly. It was really good! She had such a beautiful singing voice, she could go on a contest and probably win it! Her singing made the trip so much easier an better to handle and made it less boring. After about nine hour of driving, she finally pulled over and stopped at. Hotel to stay the night so sell be fresh for the morning.

When she woke up the next morning, she thought to herself "I'm really in no big hurry, o I think I'll go visit a few places on my way." She grabbed a map at the check out counter on one of those pamphlet turn around things and started to look at tour attractions on the way. She loves Johnny Cash, so she knew the perfect place to go visit! The Storytellers Hideaway Farm and Museum in Dickson County Tennessee! She was so excited, she could hardly wait to get back on the highway.

When she finally go there, it was just as magnificent as she pictured! The first place she could see was his two-hundred-year-old farmhouse right off the driveway. She stayed a few hours, took a ton of pictures, and went on her way. She was so intrigued buy the visit, she couldn't wait to tell her grandpa and show him all the pictures she took. I really enjoyed it too! It was so informative about Johnny Cash, I learned so much i never knew about him. We got back on the road and started back towards West Virginia again. This time, I think we're driving straight through. Gwenith couldn't wait to see her grandfather.

We finally pulled into his driveway about one in the morning the next day and he was asleep. He would always leave a spare key in a secret place in a birdhouse Gwen made when she was a kid so she would never forget where it was. She was the only one in the family that knew where it was too because he didn't trust any one but her in the family inside his house when he's not home. When we got inside, she was so exhausted from the drive, she went into her room and fell right to sleep.

Ernie, her grandfather, woke up about six am and looked outside to see what the weather was like that morning like he always does, and noticed her car out in the driveway. He had wondered what time she got there and whether or not to make her breakfast now or wait till she got up, so he decided to wait. Gwen finally woke up around noon and her grandfather was about to start making lunch when she walked into the kitchen. He looked up, saw her, and gave her the biggest hug she's gotten in a long time. He held her for a while and then he looked at her lovingly and said "Gwenie, it's been too long." "I know Grandpa, and I'm sorry. I've just been working and trying to save up money, that I didn't have any time to visit anyone, or i would have come sooner." She replied. "Plus there was this man named Winston who's wife died, so I swore to myself I would stay there and continue to be his waitress because I'm the only one that understands him and his situation. He passed away last summer, and I finally decided it was time to come spend some time with my favorite person in the whole wide world....you!!"
