As soon as Locke got home, he went straight to the shower, after spending a few hours in the cold water Locke left feeling refreshed, after the bath Locke was busy with mundane tasks.
He cleaned the entire apartment, again, washed his clothes and shopped food supplies at the market, Locke had realized that things did not spoil in the inventory so he had retired his old refrigerator, storing the items directly in his inventory.
Locke spent time doing some work that Azalea had left him, some little research and data analysis, Frauds, viruses and problems related to the internet, Things that a normal technician would spend hours researching, things that he did with absurd speed, when he finished the sky was starting to get dark, Locke then went up to the roof of the building, ther come the time to receive the system rewards.
The system was still a mystery to Locke, not even Tia was fully aware of all its features, although it looked like a game the system was much more complex, Locke's level of authority over the system was still too low for him to fully understand the profundity of what his father left to him.
"It's amazing how this magic circle is still here..." Locke commented as he sat in the center of the magic circle.
'Hey! When I do something, I do it right!' Tia replied, offended. 'Be grateful!'
"I am! It's great to have you!"
Locke activated the interface to receive his rewards, first he received the experience, it was different from what he expected, Locke thought that killing monsters when he had a level limit was useless but to his surprise the system had stored all that extra experience, making Locke have a very high jump in his level.
When Locke evolved, he was at stuck at level twenty, with all the accumulated experience he reached level 43, killing Rudra and his Raijūs had given him much more than he expected. Taking into account the absurd number of experience that Rudra gave to him, Locke realized that his theory needed to be correct, the more something kills, the more experience it offers.
The sudden increase in his strengths only caused him mild discomfort, but it took longer than Locke expected, his body was out of his control for an hour, it was as if his body was slowly getting used to the new levels, Locke understood that this it would be extremely dangerous in an uncontrolled environment.
After his massive increase in the level Locke began to analyze the other rewards, eight pages of grimoire, 6 news blueprints for Tia, one point of authority for evolving and another for killing a transcendent before reaching level 100, the two points of authority opened up a lot of new training options, fighting techniques, movement techniques and Martial arts, for his human and for his dragon form.
Locke also opened two new features, Derivation and Mapping.
The derivation feature was incredibly useful, Locke could choose a school of magic and the system would research a specific library page for that school. Unlike the draw feature, where the pages would be chosen based on Locke's affinities, this method would create a compatibility with time, that mean to, using this method Locke could learn a spells that naturally he would not be able to.
The mapping feature was self-explanatory, the system can could map an area and create a digital map for Locke, with the total size corresponding to his vision range, the mapping also had several functions, such as demarcating places of interest, finding details of the environment and other options.
Locke also awoke a new attribute, Perception, the usefulness of this new attribute was not very clear, according to the description of the system, it affected the way Locke observed and gained information about the world.
Locke left to retrieve the pages later, he soon activated the derivation, Locke focused on the abjuration school, Locke had already realized that his talents were more focused on destruction so he hoped to unlock some healing spell.
After analyzing his rewards Locke left the house, he went straight to the city center. He arrived a few minutes before Hanna and Pam closed the store, Locke came in and saw Hanna serving a redheaded customer, Hanna's eyes lit up when she saw him, but she continued to perform her duties, Locke went to a corner of the store and waited patiently, he got some clothes to replace his torn clothes, he got some simple shirts and a pair of jeans, he waited for Hanna to finish with the red-haired girl in order to pay, until he noticed a detail.
The red-haired girl that Hanna was attending seemed to had more mana tham a normal human, it was not a absurd amount, but she have a bigger quantity than that of any ordinary human.
When the girl turned around, Locke recognized her, she was the same girl from the mansion in the middle of the forest, although now she didn't look as beautiful as she did that night, she was pretty, for sure, but that night she looked beautiful on a supernatural level, Locke looked at her suspiciously but he did not comment. The red-haired girl caught his eye and smiled irreverently, lifting her nose proudly of her own beauty, she left without saying anything, wiggling exaggeratedly.
'What a b*tch! Walking everywhere covered with charm magic! Isn't she ashamed?' Tia complained.
'Charm Magic? Is that why I thought you were so beautiful that night?'Locke talked to the fairy in his head.
'Exactly! This girl must love being the center of attention! F*cking Witch!'
'Witch?' Locke was confused.
'That's what they were called at the time of your father, they are female humans with a certain gift for magic, They worship a goddess, Hanna could be one if she wanted to, since she has a lot of potential!' Tia replied.
'Maybe it's worth taking a look at that mansion in the woods... maybe they know about the school case...'
'Maybe, but now our favorite goth chic is waiting for us! So, let's go!' Tia commented.
Hanna approached Locke at that moment, she kissed him and then ran her hands through his long hair. "You are different!"
"Well, some things happened to me..." Locke smiled as he held her around the waist, lifting her without difficulty. "I missed you a lot!" Locke noticed the girl's hands in his hair. "I think I need to cut my hair..."
"Can you let me cut it? Please!" Hanna was extremely excited.
Locke looked at the girl and decided to trust her. "All right..."
"Excellent! Let's go to my house! I can cut your hair there!" Hanna was impatient.
"I don't think it's a good idea, how am I going to explain to your parents how my hair has grown so much in a single week?"
"What is the difficulty? you just have to sneak in!"
***
It was incredibly easy to get into Hanna's room, it was just a matter of the girl opening the window for Locke to sneak in.
Locke felt a little guilty about going in like that, it seemed to be wrong, but he tried to forget the feeling, 'I'm not going to do anything naughty!' He thinks, Hanna started to change clothes in front of him, Locke felt a part of him 'awakening', Locke looked down and whispered: "Traitor..."
Locke left everything in Hanna's hands about his haircut, while the girl used a comb and scissors she asked Locke to tell her everything that happened to him in the last week.
Locke told everything, from his fight against the Raijūs to his interaction with Princess Byakuri.
"A real mermaid! I would love to meet a real mermaid! Was she pretty?" Hanna commented excitedly, while the scissors worked greedily.
"Tia said she was not really a mermaid, apparently she is a draconic carp, but to me she was like a mermaid!" Locke replied, getting in the mood. "She was beautiful, not as much as you are, she was... beautiful... but in a different way, in an inhuman way"
"I would love to visit some of those magical places that you speak of! Do you think I can learn magic? " Hanna asked hopefully.
"Why not? my mother was human and managed to learn magic! But Hanna ... Do you think there is still a long way to go?" Locke started to worry, his hair was getting shorter and shorter.
"Do not worry about it! What about Tia, when will she be able to appear again? "
'It won't be long! I think by tomorrow I will have gathered enough to restore my physical form! 'Tia replied.
"She said tomorrow!" Locke shortened the fairy's proclamation.
"That's it! I finished! What do you think? Do you like?" Hanna stated.
Locke stood up and looked at himself in the mirror, Hanna had made a Wavy cut, making it very short on the sides and a little bigger on top.
Before, Locke didn't usually cut his hair often, his curly hair always used to be at least around his neck and he never cared much about his appearance, Hanna's cut was beautiful, Locke barely recognized himself in the mirror, he looked like a masculine model.
"I loved!" Locke hugged the girl, kissing her passionately, the kisses started to become more intimate when Hanna pushed him lightly.
"Stop it! My parents will hear you! " Hanna said as she giggled. "Not here! You know I can't be quiet when we do it!" She blushed.
Locke had a wild smile on his face, but he calmed down, he thought of something he really wanted to do with Hanna, he took off his shirt.
"Oh God..." Hanna ran her hands over Locke's chest as she bit her bottom lip, her breathing started to be affected while his eyes shone with contemplation of lust, she looked away until she gathered enough composure. "Stop trying to seduce me!"
"Believe it or not, this is not my idea! I want to take you to fly with me!" Locke responded with a laugh.
"Fly? Like fly? In the sky?" Hanna was incredulous.
"Yea! Do you want?"
"Of course i want!"
***
"THAT WAS THE BEST IDEA! BEST IDEA EVER!" Hanna shouted excitedly.
Locke gave a little laugh, they were both crossing the night sky at low speed, Locke had made Hanna wear a thick coat and now he held her like a princess. "Glad you like! I thought you were going to be scared! "
"Are you kidding? I always wanted to be able to fly! This is so cool! Fly across the sky without being on a plane! I can mark it in my bucket list!" Hanna replied cheerfully.
Locke flew for some time in the directions that the happy girl was pointing, Locke had to practically force them to land when he realized that the girl was shivering in the cold of the night, they were flying for too long.
When Locke returned Hanna to her room, the girl had a red face and cold hands, but a huge smile on her face. "We have to do this more often!"
"Okay, but next time we'll wrap you up better!" Locke replied, he was ready to leave when Hanna touched his wings.
"Wow, they are so beautiful... And warm! And those black scales look like jewels! " The girl ran her fingers over her wings.
"Watch out for the sharp parts..." Locke was a little concerned.
"Don't worry, I'll be careful, when are you going to show me your whole shape?" Hanna questioned, she buried her face in Locke's wings. "It's so hard! But it's not uncomfortable, it's like the skin of a warm crocodile!"
"I can't show it here... it kind of takes up a lot of space, but as soon as I can, I'll show you!" Locke kissed the girl and went out the window. "Tomorrow I will pick you up at your job."
The girl waved goodbye when Locke returned to the air, flying with extreme agility, he was soon back home. After getting down on the roof he 'put' his wings and wore on a shirt, he went back to his small apartment.
'You could have brought Hanna over here, no one would complain about the noise!' Tia commented spitefully.
Locke looked around at the small, worn-out apartment, although he struggled to keep the place clean enough the apartment was still horrible.
"This is no place to bring a lady"
'So maybe it's time for us to find a better home to live in, don't you think?' Tia replied. 'You have money now!'
Locke thought for a moment, Tia was right, in addition to the reasonable salary Locke received for being a police advisor, his investments, which had never made any return, suffered an absurd increase in they growth, to the point that Locke wondered if the the only reason for the bankruptcy of some companies in the past had something to do with his curse.
"This is a good idea! Tomorrow we are going to look for a new home! "
