Chapter forty-three – The world is full of monsters, paranormal or not!

"I'm looking for a lot of people! Who the hell are you!" Durand yelled.

"Apparently I'm your original target, the reason you came to this town... Soo, do you got a glimpse now?"

"The black knight!" Durand yelled.

"Black knight, wow, what a description... Not bad, not bad... Anyway, I heard you're looking for me soo, I just want to know why!"

"How did you get this number?" Durand questioned in an annoyed voice.

"Is this really important?"

Durand took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down, she is not usually in the passive pole of the situation and it irritated her, but now was her chance to get some information about her mysterious target, she made a hand signal to Dr. Ragdear, who he took the tech tablet out of her lab coat pocket and began tracking the call.

"Who are you?"

"It's your job to find out, right?"

"Are you with the cultists?"

"This is a joke? Do you really think I'm part of these freaks?" the man chuckled on the other end of the line. "Do you really think I'm part of them? Even after I saved those girls in that high school?"

"No, I don't think so, but I needed to be sure… So what do you want? Do you want to surrender yourself?"

The man laughed heartily. "Surrender myself? Are you kidding right? You're good with jokes, agent!"

"It's only a matter of time before Burreal finds you! It would be much easier for you to surrender yourself!" Durand yelled angrily.

"Don't be silly agent..." The voice turned cold and serious. "If arresting me is the reason you came to this city, I recommend you come back from where you came! Why do you want to arrest me in the first place?"

"You killed more than twenty people!"

"I don't kill people, I only kill monsters!"

"They were human beings!"

"The world is full of monsters, paranormal or not! Those one's I killed were all scum! Murderers, psychopaths, drug dealers, kidnappers and r*pists, the World has become a better place without them!"

"It's not up to you to decide!"

"And it's up to who? I had the power to decide and I decided, if that makes your group come after me, you can come!"

"Do you really think you can stand up to a world-class organization on your own?"

Dr. Ragdear gave a thumbs up, she had the location.

"Maybe yes, maybe not, but that's not the question right? You don't even know who I am and what I am, you have no idea what I can do! I still don't have any problem with you group and it's not like I'm on a killing spree... So Agent Durand, think carefully, it will be worth it to make me your enemy?" the man hung up.

Durand snapped the phone away angrily and turned to Dr. Ragdear, "So, did you get the location?"

The doctor was looking at the tablet with a confused expression.

"It's a disposable phone, I was able to locate the origin of the call, it comes from downtown, but..."

"What? What's the problem?"

"Comes from thirty meters above the tallest building..."

"Send a unit quickly, there may be some clues in the area, it's imperative that the church doesn't find out about the target!"

Away from the docks, in the center of town a figure floated in the sky, fully camouflaged.

Locke sighed as his black flame turned the disposable phone into ashes, he originally contacted the Burreal agents because he wanted to offer his help against the cultists, but ended up confirming something he had already deduced, that they wanted to capture him.

Locke was no fool, the gradual increase in his status not only granted him great physical changes but even his speed of thought was higher than his original form, through talking with the agent Durand, Locke can deduce that the Burreal wanted him not for his acts against the gang or the death of some psychopath in the mountains, his brain and his instincts told him that the Burreal wanted his power, he felt that if he got caught by them his fate would be to become a weapon.

'Hey Locke, are you lost by chance? Does the ice cream arrive or not? And don't you dare forget the tops!" Tia's mental message snapped him out of his stupor. "I'll be there in a minute!" Locke replied, he flapped his wings hard, breaking the sound barrier and vanishing into the sky, leaving a mysterious sonic boom in the center of the city.

About twenty minutes later some agents appeared on the roof's of the closest building's to where Locke had make his call, they started using a series of sci-fi handheld scanners all over the roof's, to no avail, one of the agents pulled out a radio out of his chest pocket and reported Durand the bad news, on the other side of town Durand cursed while throwing the radio in to the ground angrily.

"Damn it! Why is it so hard to find clues about this b*stard!" She screamed.

"He's different than any other cryptid, his camouflage ability is top notch and he somehow blocks all the supernatural ways of tracking and predicting…" Dr. Ragdear replied. "In fact, without the gang attack video we might never have been aware of its existence, our precogs can't calculate the futures with him interacts with, that's the biggest reason Burreal wants it so intensely, an untraceable weapon would be the end of our enemies..."

Durand sighed and calmed down. "This target is too important to pass up! But first... we have to focus on the cultists... And if the church finds out about him, I have no idea what might happen..."

***

Locke was accompanying Hanna to her house, it was Sunday night and the sky was beginning to darken. They were both alone, Tia had stayed at home playing games on Locke's computer, and Hanna said she needed to talk to him alone.

They both walked slowly through the streets of Hanna's neighborhood, Locke held her around the waist while Hanna hugged his body tigh, some of Hanna's neighbors greeted them on the way, it was a summer night and kids were playing ball in the street, people sat on their watching the children's games, they approached the entrance to Hanna's house and went through the gate into the backyard.

"You need to accept Tia's feelings!" Hanna said abruptly.

"What? What are you talking about?" Locke was confused.

"She likes you Locke! She really likes you! And you like her too! Although you are insist on pushing this role of 'little sister' on her!"

Locke was a little lost, his girlfriend was telling him that he had to accept the romantic feelings of a fairy who lived inside him for years, whose life was tied to his and was closer than a sister.

"I... I don't see Tia like that way!" He replied.

"Stop lying to yourself! You know in your heart that you love her!" Hanna poked his chest. "When you thought she died what did you feel?"

Locke thought for a second, the moment Rudra had destroyed Tia's physical form he had gone into despair, the idea of not having the fairy in his life anymore seemed worse than death itself, he wanted to destroy rudra at all costs, even if it cost his life in the process, just because of what he had done to Tia, the feeling of relief when he found that she was still alive was the best thing in the world.

"But and you? Are you… breaking up with me?" he asked worriedly.

"Don't be silly! You are mine to the end of time!" Hanna stated confidently. "I don't care if you have other girls and I would really like if you accept Tia's feelings!"

Locke stopped walking and looked at Hanna like she was an alien.

"What do you mean you don't care? Are you, are you saying that there is no problem in we having relationships with other people? Like a polyamorous thing? I can't live like this! Just imagining you with other men would drive me crazy!" Locke was losing his composure.

"No, I'm not talking about that, I have no interest in having a relationship like that with other people!" Hanna answered him. "As a matter of fact I've never felt physical attraction to another human being before, not even once, just for you, and strangely for Tia too, but not as strongly as I feel for you!" Hanna gave a cute laugh. "You know, Alyah even thought I was asexual!"

Locke was still standing there with his mouth open, even though his logical reasoning had increased he was still lacking in emotional intelligence, so his brain was now like a crashed supercomputer.

"I really don't care if you have other girls, the truth is that all my life I've known that the person I would fall in love with would have many children, and only two of them would be with me..." She looked up at the sky with a strange smile, as if she is missing something that didn't already happened, then she turned to Locke. "Besides, if we continue at the pace we are, you're going to break me!" She pointed at him with a teasing smile. "It's not that I don't love everything we do in bed together, but whenever I can't take it anymore I realize you're still full of energy!"

Hanna walked over and kissed Locke on the lips, snapping him out of his brain freeze state. "Talk to Tia when you get back to your house, but be careful, she's too small for you size now!" Hanna ran and entered the house.

Locke stood there for a few seconds, trying to make sense of it all, it seemed too unreal, even for someone who found out he was the son of a dragon with a human, for a second he seriously thought if it wasn't a prank.

"This unrealistic development… this looks like a fiction… My girlfriend just give me a free pass..." He talked to himself.

Finally Locke flew back to his own house.

As soon as he entered he found Tia sitting at her computer, playing.

Since Locke started working for Azalea the first thing he did was upgrade his machine, Azalea wanted the skills of a good hacker to help the police and she gave Locke carte blanche to build a computer at the police station expense.

Locke had tried to find some good parts at the lowest price, using his own skills and money to build a suitable computer, in the end his computer was something that would arouse the envy of a professional streamers.

Locke was very fond of games in the past, after his awakening he ended up putting games aside, as life had become much more exciting than any game can be, but his old compilation was still there, for reasons of nostalgia.

Tia was now playing one of Locke's games old games, a famous online tower defense game, played all over the world, she was always interested in games and now her body have the proper size to reach the keyboard keys.

"Heal me, you bastard, can't you see I'm going to die!" She yelled into the headset. "Hold the top lane! Useless *sshole!"

Locke watched her over his shoulder, PrettyFa1ryQu33n, that was the fairy's name in the game, he thought it was funny, the fairy was pouring curses on the other players, but her sweet melodic voice seemed to have an adverse effect and several of them were texting in the game chat praising her.

"What's your problem? You all are acting like dogs in heat! Less stupidity and more killing! I want to wiiiiiin!" The fairy screamed.

Locke watched the fairy for a while, she was excited about the game and hadn't noticed him, Locke didn't understand how she could be so good at this game, it was her first time she is playing.

The fairy was dressed in a plain white pajama shirt and pink panties, her hair was pulled back in a big braid and her tail swung in the air during the game, Locke watched her thoughtfully, he sighed, Hanna was right, Locke loved Tia, he loved her childish ways, he loved her dirty mouth, he loved the way she was kind inside.

"Hmm?" Tia noticed his presence. "Wait there guys! My roommate has arrived!" She took the headphones out of her ear, Locke could see some heartbreak messages popping up on the screen. Tia looked at him and noticed his complicated look. "What's up, buttercup?"

"Hanna talked to me..."

"About…that?" The fairy asked.

"Yep!"

"And?" The fairy looked concerned.

Locke decided to answer by putting his hand on her little face, he went down to her level and gave her a kiss.
