Varfu sighed, he made a hand signal to the other Orcs around him who began to surround the police headquarters.
One of the Orcs approached the entrance and shouted, "HUMANS! GET OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP! IF YOU DON'T GET OUT, WE'LL GET IN, AND IT WILL NOT BE BEAUTIFUL! YOU HAVE FIFTEEN MINUTES TO DECIDE!"
Inside the police station Sarah swore under her breath, binary numbers are running through her eyes as she searched among all the machines around her for a way to save herself and everyone there.
"Keep tending to the wounded! I…I'll try to negotiate…" Azaleah replied, ordering the people around, she got up and prepared to go to the door when Joseph grabbed her arm.
"You can't go alone!" Joseph countered, he positioned himself beside her. "If you're going out I'll be with you!"
"Stop it Jojo! It won't change anything if you go with me! Stay here where it's safe!"
"Hey! We made a promise, did you forget? For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health! I swore to God I would always be by your side! It's not a bunch of fantasy like monsters that will make me stay away from you! Wherever you go I will be by your side!"
Azaleah realized through her husband's eyes that he would not change his mind, she wanted to find arguments but gave up, she took her husband's hand and prepared to go out and face the creatures with him, but the two spherical drones blocked her path.
"I'm going outside!" Sarah spoke, she pulled her long hair into a ponytail and adjusted her glasses over her face and rolled up the sleeves of her lab coat. "My entire team was left behind and I'm the only one who's been trained to deal with beings like that!"
"How about if no one leaves!" Aliyah yelled "What's the matter with you all? Am I the only one seeing a group of green giants monsters outside? We need to find a way out of here!"
"It's too late to escape! They surrounded the entire building! The building is also full of injured people, there's no way we can get through this siege with people in that state!" Sarah replied.
"So what are we going to do? Look at these guys! Arguing with them won't get you anywhere! They don't seem like the type to settle things in conversation!" Aliyah screamed.
"Your daughter is correct, I don't think negotiating or arguing will be our ticket out of here…I…I need to think! Give me five minutes to think of a plan!" Sarah went to a corner and sat down, her brain was being pushed to the limit as she thought about how to get out of the situation she was in, her mind was traveling around the city, trying to find something that could help her, so she made a plan in her head, she managed to connect with the Bureau's tactical truck and control it remotely, but she couldn't use it as a weapon the way Jason did, but the vehicle's size was enough to take the wounded, she just needed a distraction, and she found the perfect distraction.
Lycandra Adalwulf, a werewolf descended from wolf royalty, a very famous and powerful alpha whose the existence was well known among all BPD agents, Lycandra led her own pack, a gang of biker werewolves, they were left alone due to the pacts of the BPD with the royal families, as long as she didn't abuse, the Bureau ignored her existence.
It also helped that werewolf gangs had a deadly hatred of vampires, and these two groups were always in an eternal war, so it was in the Bureau's interest to let these two natural enemies deal with each other.
Sarah had an idea, she knew that Lycandra was known for her sense of justice and was famous for helping humans, Sarah remotely accessed the electronic panels on the route the wolves ran and broadcast a message, asking for help. Just as Sarah had expected, it didn't take long for Lycandra and her gang to catch on to the messages on the panels, and as the werewolves stopped they bikes to investigate, a pixelated chibi avatar of Sarah appeared on the screen.
- Lycandra Adalwulf, please help us!- The message appeared over the avatar's head in a floating speech bubble.
"Who the hell are you?" Lycandra questioned curiously.
- I am Dr. Sarah Ragdear, I was sent to this town with a group of Bureau agents to deal with the menace of the Cultists! I believe you have noticed the state of the city!-
"Surely we noticed, but we're done with our issues in this city, we were here to deal with a bunch of vampires and we're done with the job, we have no interest in getting involved with the cultists! So what do you want from us?"
- I would like to request that you change your mind and provide us with support!-
"Did you not listen to me? We have no intention of getting involved in your problem with the cultists, we've already dealt with our affairs in this town, we're leaving! We have our own demons to hunt!"
- I humbly ask you to reconsider and choose to help us, I can guarantee that if you offer us help you will be greatly rewarded!-
"Reward? HAHAHAHA!" Lycandra guffawed, her sharp white canines baring. "There's nothing the Bureau can offer me, little girl!" She turned and walked to the bike.
- You said you have your own demons to hunt, what if I offer you the location of every known vampire group across the east coast? –
Lycandra read the sentence out of the corner of her eye, she stopped in her tracks and turned to the screen. "Do you think I'm a fool? Even the Bureau wouldn't make a promise like that!"
- You're right, the BPD would certainly never make a promise like that, after all, our vision regarding your group's personal war against vampires is to maintain neutrality but, it's my life that's at stake here. I'm a high level Technopath, I'm offering you my personal skills to track your enemies –
Lycandra thought for a second, she broke into a smile. "Alright, we have a deal! What do you want us to do?"
- I'm stuck at the police station in the center of the city with other humans, we're surrounded by a group of armed mercenary Orcs! -
"Wait a minute, do you want us to fight a battalion of Orc mercenaries on our own? I will not endanger my people to save your human lame ass*s!"
- I'm just asking you to attract their attention, my main plan is to control a special BPD vehicle to provide us with a safe exit, everything I need is for you to direct the Orcs' attention for a while while we prepare our exit, once we're safe I'll send you all the information I promised, so do we have a deal? -
"You better keep your end of the bargain, girl, or I'll hunt you down like a rabbit! We are on our way!" Lycandra climbed onto the bike and turned around, the other wolves following without even questioning.
- Please come quickly -
"Don't worry girl! No one is faster on the road than us!" Lycandra accelerated her bike, followed by her entire gang.
Back at the police station Sarah opened her eyes, Azaleah and her family, along with everyone else who could still move, had created makeshift barriers, overturning tables and stacking the station's furniture, and now they were waiting with concern stamped on their faces.
"I got some help!" Sarah warned everyone. "They should be here in a few hours! They will serve as a distraction while we escape through the back in a getaway vehicle!"
"Excellent! There are some vehicles in the building's garage that can help you escape! Everyone who can walk, go ahead! Who can carry someone help an injured!" Azaleah screamed, she and Joseph grabbed an injured firefighter and began dragging him to the back of the building.
Outside, Varfu turned to one of his men and asked how much time was left.
"It's only been ten minutes sir!" The Orc replied, he looked bothered by something.
"What is it, my child?" Varfu questioned.
"Why you gave them time to surrender, sir? It would be much more easy if we just went in and captured them all at once!"
"Humans go crazy when they're surrounded in a corner, even if they don't pose any danger to our group, we have to keep our mission in mind!" Varfu replied. "To complete their goals, the Heralds of the New World want those humans to feel fear and despair, and when the door opens they will need a large number of live humans! After all, they're going to need to feed the thing... Can you guarantee that if we invade with force you will hold back not to kill these humans?"
"...No sir..." The Orc replied.
"Then obey my orders! if time runs out and they don't obey us, you can do it your way... So try to at least wait until time runs out..."
The Orcs continued to wait in silence, the seconds passed slowly and the orc with the clock looked at it over and over like an anxious child, finally the fifteen minutes was up.
"Time's up sir!" The Orc spoke with his huge fangs curved in a smile.
"Give they the last warning."
The Orc went to the entrance of the police station and shouted: "HUMANS! YOUR TIME IS OVER! LEAVE UNARMED NOW AND WE WILL GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY!
Right after the Orc screamed everything went silent, the Orcs watched the door with anticipation, but no human walked through.
Varfu sighed deeply. "Looks like it's going to be just the way you guys like it, try to leave at least a few of them alive..." He raised his arm and made a hand signal, the Orcs started running forward.
But at that moment the noise of motorcycle engines began to fill the streets.
"Wait a minute, what is this?" Varfu questioned, his men turned with him in the direction the sound was coming from.
A bunch of bikers was approaching through the empty streets of the center of the city, their noisy motorcycles filled the air with their noises, Varfu recognized the group from afar, he opened a sarcastic smile on his green face.
Lycandra and her men stopped their bikes at a distance from the police station, the woman took off her helmet and revealed her beautiful face, she looked at the Orcs with an expression of contempt.
"Lycandra, may I know why you are here? I thought you were going to leave town after dealing with Luther…" Varfu questioned, as he stood in front of his men, they made small, almost invisible gestures and his men started to be on guard.
"I have business with someone at this police station!" The wolf woman responded, not changing her expression of contempt.
"Ohoo? Really?" Varfu crossed his arms as his face took on an expression of disappointment. "That's a great shame, I would really rather not have problems with your people..."
"Stop lying, you evil old Orc, I can smell your excitement from miles away! Ever since we got here, you and your freak group have been dying to start a fight!"
Varfu smiled, it was true, he felt disinterested at having to deal with the humans before, but now things were finally getting interesting. "Hehehe, I can't hide this from you, right? How will it be, modern way or old way?"
"Do you really need to ask?…" Lycandra unzipped her jumpsuit, revealing her naked body underneath, her skin was smooth and her body are beautiful, but it began to change into an intense pace as her body grew and took on a wolfish appearance, her gang behind her followed her lead, and all men and women undressing alike her, their naked bodies swelling and covering themselves with fur as they shifted in they werewolves forms.
Varfu dropped the machine gun he held in his hands and removed two metallic tonfas from his waist, he grinned widely, showing all his sharp teeth. "The old way! Ah, the old way is my favorite!" His men imitated him too, switching to their melee weapons.
The two parties ran against each other.
