Chapter Seventy-Nine - A New Title and New Skills

"So... What is my attribute?" Locke questioned, in a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"NO!" Tia yelled in response.

"What? No?" Locke questioned not understanding. "What do you mean by 'no'?"

'No! I can't tell you! I do not want! A dragon's attribute will be set in stone the moment the dragon understands his own power! The attribute is a reflection of your own soul, as long as you don't fully understand it completely, it means that you still have a chance to it change! Even if it's just a small chance I don't want to risk getting in your way! You need to find out and figure it out by yourself! Also... I really hope you manifest something else! Anything else!' Tia replied, her tone was a mixture of guilt, worry and… fear?

Obviously, Locke is more curious than ever now, but what in the flying f*ck that dammed attribute can be to made the fairy so worried? Burying his curiosity deep inside, Locke decided not to ask any more questions, after all, the situation wasn't completely resolved.

Refocusing on the most pressing problem, Locke began to analyze all the damage he had caused inside the building.

Locke's little experience with his 'final attack' had destroyed a good number of the secondary dimensions that compose the building, as well as a huge number of creatures inside each of them, he realized that all the indirect killing he caused, coupled with the demon's death, had made his level take another leap, he found himself at level seventy-nine, with one more big growth in his stats and a lot of messages in the system.

[Congratulations! Special mission complete! – Rewards: 6 pages of spellbook, 6 new blueprints and a deity fragment (dark type)!]

"What the hell is a deity fragment? And what does 'dark type' mean?" Locke questioned.

'Boy, you got some good sh*t!' Tia responded excitedly, ignoring the earlier tension. 'This thing has more uses than duct tape! Just look through the system!'

Locke complied without flinching.

[Deity Fragment (Shadow Type) - High-Level Catalyst]

"Holy sh*t, a over lazy little explanation, what the f*ck dad! Couldn't it be more specific?" Locke commented irritably. "High-level catalyst for what?"

'Dude, I already told you that this thing has many uses, you can, for example, purify and absorb it to increase your magic! Unlike that sh*tty piece of sin molding in your inventory, this thing doesn't have the ability to corrupt you! I can use this thing to create a divine weapon! I can also use this to create divine potions and elixirs! Or we can modify that into a golem core dozens of times more powerful than that core I made!' The fairy was incredibly excited. 'I'm not even done yet, The number of uses for this stuff is huge!'

"What about the dark type?"

'It came from a demon! What did you want? attribute of light?'

Locke looked at the purple sphere on the system screen and shrugged. "Whatever, I'll just keep this crap in the inventory!" he thought, with the amount of stuff in his inventory he was starting to feel like a hoarder.

for someone like him, with a craze for cleanliness and a preference for everything neat and tidy, seeing so many random items in his inventory made him feel uncomfortable, he swore to himself that when it was all over he would take the time to sort it all out.

Locke continued to receive the other rewards, for winning the duel against the demon, Locke gained a new title:

[Title: Demon Hunter - You battled a powerful demon and prevailed, even though none of your enemies were left to spread the story you were officially recognized as a danger to the demons! Every time you fight a demon your rewards will be doubled!]

"That… sounds quite useful…" Locke commented satisfied, but in the back of his head he asked himself: 'recognized by whom?'

'That's quite useful!' Tia replied excitedly. 'But I think you need to look at the other rewards!'

Locke went back to the system messages, with increasing levels and his victory, all of his stats, which before were close to a thousand points each, had managed to pass the mark and, just like when his intelligence reached the same, Locke gained a special skill for each stat which went over a thousand.

From the [Strength] stat, Locke gained an ability called [Titanic Strength], this ability not only allowed Locke to have greater control of all his physical strength, but also allowed him to exert the most of his muscles at an almost divine level, he could feel that the every muscle fibers in his body had been strengthened and fortified.

From the [Agility] stat, Locke gained an ability called [Divine Speed], now not only could his body move normally with the same agility he moved when using his ethereal steps, but his body and mind were now in a perfectly tune, and he felt as if his every movement he mafe had reached a step closer to perfection.

From the [Endurance] stat, Locke gained an ability called [Immortal Body], the description of this ability and its effects was practically absurd, Locke had practically attained Immortality, his already exaggerated natural regeneration ability had grown to an divine level, as long as Locke wasn't destroyed in a single attack his body would be able to heal itself, his body also had become immune to disease and poisons, a torn limbs would grow back in about minutes and even his stamina regenerated at a speed so fast that he felt maintaining Dragon Force would now be a child play.

From the [Perception] stat, Locke gained an ability called [Divine Awareness], This ability increased Locke's perception level in an absurd way, even by closing his eyes he managed to spread his own awareness and get all the details of the things around him as if he were looking at them through a microscope, it was as if the previously invisible details of the world were now clear as day, the more he focused the farther his perception reached.

From the [Spirit] stat, Locke gained an ability called [Spiritual Reactor], this ability boosted the efficiency of Locke's mana core greatly, if Locke's mana core could previously be compared to a high power electric plant, now its core was comparable to a nuclear power plant, the speed at which he produced mana, the quality and intensity of it had grown to absurd levels, he felt mana around being engulfed and converted as if he were in a constant state of deep meditation and his mana channels could work much more efficiently than before.

From the [Charm] stat, Locke received a very strange skill, the skill had a simple name, [Command], but his explanation seemed vague, in fact Locke never quite understood how the charm stat worked, even though this stat grew with the same speed as his other stats, he stopped seeing changes in his body as a result of it, he knew he'd gotten a lot better looking since his transformation, handsome enough to match a male model, but it wasn't like he had an aura that would attract other people or something like that, about the new skill the system just stated that it would be harder for Locke's commands to be denied.

His last stat, [Luck], the one he consciously chose to ignore because he didn't believe at all that it had changed, just as all the others also had given him a new ability, the ability was called [Luck Glow], the description in the system was as vague as the previous skill's description, the system just said 'good things will happen!', but Locke ignored the skill completely, even with this massive growth he would never put his trust in luck.

Locke had gained the [Telekinesis] ability when his intelligence reached a thousand points, which happened way before all of his other stats, so he didn't have any new abilities originating from his intelligence, but still he could feel that his telekinesis was stronger and his control over it had increased greatly.

After analyzing all the growth of his abilities and powers, Locke took another elixir and took a few minutes to recover, when he was ready he prepared to continue his mission, but he stopped feeling a strange feeling in his chest.

"There's something wrong..." Locke commented, visibly worried.

'What was it?I know you can face it! Just look how much you've grown after this battle!" Tia replied.

"No, no, no, There's something wrong in the air! All this sudden growth in my strength and I haven't even fully resolved the problem yet... Why I feel like I've been facing only sub bosses until now and soon I'm going to have to face the big boss?" Locke looked around, as the few dimensions remaining and whit his divine awareness he clearly sensed the signal of the disgusting mana that was the source of all his worry.

'I know you can handle whatever comes your way! You need to get back safe and sound too! Plus, Hanna has something important to tell you when this is all over!' Tia replied.

'Well, f*ck! My girls just raised a death flag...' Locke thought of self-contempt. 'Let's end it all!'

Transforming only the wings, Locke flew towards the mana sign, crossing the few remaining dimensions, there weren't many of them left, he also didn't encounter any monsters along the way.

With the increase in his powers it was easy for Locke to cross the small artificial dimensions, he no longer even needed to look for an exit or the paths that connected them, he just crossed them easily making a way through them, he finally reached the core that joined all them together. The dimensions were organized like a huge magic cube, where each of the rooms moved around the cube constantly, the destruction shattered a large part of the cube and made it much easier to reach its core, a small dimension completely sealed and hidden, now as visible to him as candlelight in an ocean of darkness.

Maybe Locke can had difficulty dealing with this type of seal before, but now, to him, this seal seemed so simple that he didn't even have to break it, inserting just a little piece of his mana in it and rewrote a small part of the seal to created an entrance, he wasted no time and crossed over to what he felt was the final battle. As he crossed, Locke couldn't resist making a little joke.

"If this were a game, this would be the autosave moment..."
