Second Sponsor!

After only 10 minutes of waiting, my mother finally arrived. She was wearing a white shirt, blue crop top jacket, high black pants and has shades on her head.

Even though she was nearly in her mid-thirties, she still looked like she was in her early twenties. It wasn't fair for any girls out there, even idols can't match her baby face.

"Min-chul ah~, I'm here~"

"Ah, is that your sister?"

"Nope. My mother"

"Pffft! Hak ack ak! Ahem, sorry? That's your...mother"

The female from JW Sports asks me while sipping on her coffee and hearing my answer, her coffee flies out of her tiny mouth.

The woman wasn't an old lady nor was she an intern, but she looked like a mature lady with a clean and non-wrinkled face.

The face where you can tell the age, but still think they look young. If I had to guess, I'd guess that this woman was in her mid-thirties to late-thirties.

Hearing that the young looking woman was my mother, she wanted to stand up and strangle my mom. After all, she has a son my age as well, meaning that they are most likely at a similar age.

"Ahh, hello Min-hee sshi, I'm from JW Sports, my name is Man Yoo-mi and my colleague over here is Mr. Hak Ye-joon"

"Ahhh, hello hello. I'm Min-chul's mother and I'm 34, nice to meet you Yoo-mi sshi~"

Hearing the sultry voice of my mother, Yoo-mi knows that it wasn't on purpose, but she is being sexy without even trying!

This woman is only one year younger than herself and she looks like she could be her daughter! This isn't fair! Why isn't God fair!

"Kuh! Ahem ahem...this is the contract we decided for your son considering his achievements and his perceived future"

"Hmmm, I see I see..."

While stroking her non-existent beard, my mother was looking at Yoo-mi with sagely eyes that seemed to analyze her. In reality, it was a ploy. Mom was a pretty big dunce.

Dad was the smarter one, but mom was actually fairly stupid. It's a wonder how she got work.

"Please read over it carefully and sign whenever you're ready. You may take a couple days, so we'll be leaving for now"

"Yes yes, thank you Yoo-mi sshi~"

With that, Yoo-mi's heavy and annoyed footsteps thudded out of the coffee shop as the man followed her closely behind.

"Now....what does this mean, Seung-ri sshi?"

"That? Are you...serious? That says "name" and it's where you sign"

"Ooooooo....what's this?"

"That says "contract"..."

"Ooooooooo...."

Like a sponge, she was absorbing everything that Seung-ri was telling her. Really, it should be a bit obvious what the "sign name here" means with the dotted lines.

She seemed like she was purposefully prolonging it for whatever reason. It was possibly to spend more time with me, but who knows.

She kept on asking questions for a while until she eventually asked the definition of everything on that piece of paper. Hearing the salary, she turns her head to looks t me once more.

"Wha-...so they are paying my baby the same amount of money I made? But he's 15?"

'Ahhh, it seems she doesn't understand economy'

"Yeah, it seems they are. Amazing athletes such as your son will get paid to endorse things, and they will be paid a great amount. Think of your son like an actor, he is famous and gets paid not for his time or looks, but his fame"

Her slender finger taps the table for a bit before realizing something about what Seung-ri said. Her son was famous?

"Ooooohh...MY SON IS FAMOUS?!?!"

"Ah, shhhhhh! Keep it down mom, please"

"Sorry, teehee!"

Even though she apologized, the damage has been done. The entire cafe was looking at us with questioning and curious eyes. Especially that MILF waitress.

She had a glint in her eyes that made even me feel scared. She looked like a cougar hunting down a not-so innocent gazelle.

With shivers rightfully sent down my spine, I look at my mom who was already signing the papers. With a sigh of relief, Seung-ri and I are incredibly happy that this didn't go on for too long.

The people at JW Sports Magazine did say that we could take our time to think about it, but why bother? I know it might be smarter to think about it more...

But the deal is too damn good for a middle schooler! They have me on until I'm in 3rd year high school. To think that as a 15 year old, I'll be getting a total of 120 million for 3 years, it's so unbelievably expensive.

I'm not worth that much! That's what the top athletes at swimming make as well. I'm not top athlete yet, but I assume they would like to resign me after those 3 years are up.

They already know my character as a thankful person and so, they understand that I'll go to them first when the contract ends. It even said that in the contract.

Since the glares were getting too much, I decided on chugging my latte and chocolate milk and leaving as fast as possible.

Seung-ri and mom decided on doing the same and so, we left in a blistering 30 seconds. The JW Sports people already paid for the drinks so we left without problems.

*bi-bing!*

As I was walking along the street with mom and Seung-ri, my phone's notification rings off and my pocket starts vibrating.

Since I recently won the yesterday's race, mom decided on buying me a new phone. I also made a social media just for the sole purpose of letting sponsors find me.

Also, athletes with a big followings are bound to get bigger paychecks.

The notification on my phone was for my Instagram that recently reached 5,000 followers. The sender was someone totally excepted, but it still surprised me.

[Weray Clothing: oy, little man. Meet me tomorrow at the GY Cafe. Don't be late]

Weray Clothing. That was the name of Ji-woo's sister's company and now, it seems that she had taken off once more. The followers on her account was nearly 75,000 and it looked like it was growing.

With a wry smile on my face, I scrunch it up even more at the "little man". If it was anyone else, I would have blocked the number and then killed them in their sleep.

I'm little? If I'm little then a WWE superstar would only be considered "mildly large". It's ridiculous, but I thinking she is just boosting her own ego.

[tsuren: ye no prob, tiny woman. I'm taller than you btw lol]

As I stick my phone back in my pocket, my butt starts shaking uncontrollably. Obviously, I wasn't doing on my own will, but it was probably Ji-woo's sister blowing up my phone.

Seriously, such a petty woman, taking things to heart.

"Uhhhh, your phone is sending a bunch of notifications"

"No worries uncle Seung-ri, it's just a bothersome virus"

"Ahh, then I guess you should get that checked out"

With a smirk on my face, I continue walking down the street towards the parking lot with mom and Seung-ri's car.

So-young was already waiting in the car with the air-conditioning on and when she saw me, the smirk on her face grew wider and wider.

I hugged her goodbye and as we were driving off, mom looked at me with loving eyes and a careful expression.

"Good job, Min-chul...you worked hard"
