Abigail Green stared at the frail woman on the recliner, a flood of fragmented memories rushing into her mind.
Daniel had mentioned that Greta had a fallout with her family and ran away from home as a teenager.
Her mother had also left home after a quarrel with her grandfather.
Greta gave birth to her daughter and sent her back home, just like her mother had.
Greta had not dared to return home for many years. Abigail did not know why her mother never returned, but the result was the same.
Greta's daughter died last year. So did hers.
And when Daniel had met her in Gills City, he had unwittingly mentioned that Abigail was his sister, but she had not taken it to heart at the time.
Piecing everything together and looking at Greta's face again, there was nothing Abigail did not understand.
Even though she understood, she had no idea how to face the person in front of her at that moment.
