"Benjamin..."
Just as Catherine Ford uttered a few syllables, she heard the familiar voice of Mrs. Jones, and in shock, she pushed Benjamin Jones away and hopped off the bed barefoot, dashing straight into the man's bathroom.
Still in a daze from the emotions, Benjamin looked up to see the woman clumsily shutting the bathroom door, somewhat stunned, then he touched the corner of his lips and couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Mrs. Jones opened the door to find her son sitting on the bed, a ripple of laughter across his face, first startled, then she frowned, "You had such a big ordeal and didn't even tell the family. How are you feeling now?"
"Mom, don't you knock before entering?" Benjamin, coming back to his senses, looked at his mother with dissatisfaction.
"It's because you didn't close the door. Where's Catherine? Why is Alice the only one downstairs?" Mrs. Jones asked casually.
