2 WEEKS LATER
MELANIE MALACHITE POV
She looked at the price tag on the carton of eggs and frowned.
A part of her told her that this was too expensive. That she could buy a dozen bread loaves instead of the eggs. That she should not waste her money on luxuries but on something productive, something that'll last her and her sister for a few more days so that they won't have to go hungry afterward.
Another part of her reminded her that she was not some street orphan anymore. That she and sister have risen above their circumstances. That they now have enough money that they don't need to go hungry anymore.
She listened to that part and added the eggs to the pushcart.
She went to the cashier and got a receipt for the things she had bought before leaving the Convenience Store.
When she was not in her work clothes, she wore a rather conservative dress along with a different hairstyle and goggles so that she won't be recognized by anyone.
After all, while working for Junior might pay well, it was not the most respectable job out there.
As she started walking toward her apartment, she wondered what her sister was making for dinner.
Unlike what people might think, twins don't always like the same kind of food.
The same was true for her and her sister.
The only reason she or her sister never complained about it was because of their rough Childhood. But that doesn't mean that she wanted to Capsicum if she could eat something else.
Seriously. What did her sister even like about-
She noticed movement out of the corner of her eye and tried to move away but it was too late.
A human-sized missile hit her side, breaking one or two of her ribs even through her aura, and lifted her in the air before throwing her deep in the nearby Dark alley.
She hit the wall and blanked out for a moment due to the pain. But before she could react, a large metallic hand took her by the head and slammed her on the ground.
She turned to look at her other assailant and her eyes fell on a 4 meter tall Human shaped mecha with a Dragon head.
She remembered hearing something about Atlas making giant metal robots but she had a feeling that it was not it.
"Who are you?" she asked.
The dragon mecha didn't reply.
She heard footsteps coming toward her and saw that it was the person who had attacked her.
It was… a woman. That much was clear from the figure but she couldn't see anything else as the whole person was covered in a black cloth along with a Grimm mask to hide her face.
"White Fang?" she asked, wondering why the hell these fuckers would attack her.
Instead of replying, the woman raised her foot and slammed it down on her, shattering her aura.
She felt the pain of her aura shattering and flinched before she looked up at her assailants, only now realizing that this was even more serious than she had thought it to be.
"Why are you doing this?" she asked, trying her best to get away from the Dragon mecha.
It was futile. She couldn't even move an inch.
"For what little it's worth, I'm truly sorry about this." The dragon mecha said and then her eyes widened as a black shroud came out of him and started to cover her.
She had no idea what it was but she knew in her heart that it couldn't be anything good.
"No! Wait! Please. Please don't do this. I have a family. Please don'-gahk" the black substance covered her mouth and the rest of her body.
The last thing she saw was the Bright green eyes of her female attacker before she was covered completely.

MILTIADES MALACHITE POV
She hummed a tune as she poured some carrot and onion into the soup.
She felt the urge to add some capsicum as well but then she thought of her sister who made a face whenever she had to eat it.
And while she did enjoy the discomfort that eating it brought to her sister, she also didn't want Melanie to hate her cooking.
She decided to skip out on Capsicum, for now, and added some salt to the soup.
She sniffed the vapor coming out of the pan and closed her eyes in contentment.
It took her a while to learn how to cook properly but she had to admit that she has become pretty good at it.
She heard the doorbell ring and nodded. Melanie must be back.
She hoped Melanie didn't forget the eggs this time. The girl could be a real airhead sometimes.
She opened the door and saw Melanie standing on the door with the groceries.
Except that there was something wrong.
She scrutinized her sister and realized that Melanie's smile was… strange.
"Melanie. Are you alright?" she asked.
Melanie rolled her eyes at her words and entered the house, putting the groceries and the table before she turned to face her.
There was… something wrong with her sister about this whole thing.
Her sister was acting strangely for some reason. She hoped that Melanie was not molested by some ruffian on the way home.
She knew that Melanie could take care of herself but that didn't stop her from worrying.
"Melanie. Are you alright?" she asked once again.
Melanie gave her a sad smile and then she moved forward and…
…pulled her in a hug.
"Miltiades. You know that I love you right?" Melanie asked.
Now she knew that something was definitely wrong.
Her sister never called her by her full name. Only Miltia.
She took her sister by her shoulders and turned to look her in the eyes.
"Melanie. What happened? You're worrying me."
Melanie grimaced at her words and gave her a weak smile "Sorry. Didn't mean to worry you. But you do know that I love you right."
"Yes." She said warily, not liking the strange look in her sister's eyes.
"Then know that I'm doing this for your own good." Melanie said and then her eyes widened as her sister pushed her back… into someone else's embrace.
Before she could say something, Melanie moved forward at a speed far faster than she should have been capable of and pushed a piece of cloth in her mouth.
"Mmmmh mmmff!!"
"Ssh. Calm down, sister. Everything will be alright soon enough. You'll be fine. Believe me. Just accept this. Please." Melanie said.
Then she moved aside and another person came in front of her. A Blondie haired boy. She same person who had sold the High-Grade Military dust to Junior a week ago.
"MMMMFFF" She wanted to ask the bastard what he had done to her sister but the piece of cloth in her mouth made that a moot point.
She tried to move but the person (female, if the breasts poking at her back were any indication) who had gripped her from behind didn't move an inch no matter how hard she tried.
The boy in front of her sighed "I know this doesn't mean anything to you and that I'll probably go to hell for this. But I'm truly sorry about what I'm about to do."
Then her eyes widened as a black substance came out of his hands and started covering her body.
She struggled to get out of the iron vice-like grip to no avail and watched in horror as the black substance completely covered her body before moving toward her head.
The last thing she saw was her sister holding the hands of the Blonde bastard in a comforting gesture before everything went black.

AN: Just wanted to show that Melachite twins aren't just two props to be used as simple side characters to be beaten up by the Protagonists but are real people with real lives and real emotions.
And this chapter also brushed up on the reason why Jaune just doesn't go around Shrouding everyone.
It's immoral.
