JAUNE ARC POV
A month later.
Jaune ducked and rolled out of the way as sniper bullets headed his way.
He felt a sting on his leg, making him realize that he had been hit. He ignored the mosquito bite and stood up as soon as he finished the roll only to come face to face against Yang's fist.
"Too slow." He said and swiftly dodged her punch only to get another sting on his back.
Fighting Ruby and Yang at the same time was a nightmare.
Yang was the front liner. Able to take and dish out a lot of damage while Ruby used her semblance to give her the mobility required to take potshots at him while he's focused on Yang, chipping away at his aura with each hit.
The only consolation was that he had been able to hit Yang a few times by now and her aura was below 50%. A few more well-placed hits and she will be down for the count.
This was really not a match that Yang and Ruby could win despite how powerful they've become and how good they were at working together.
The reason behind that was his High Reserves and the fact that he now always had a Telekinetic defensive shield just a few millimeters outside his body.
It wasn't strong enough to stop bullets or punches coming his way but it did lower the force behind those hits by a substantial degree.
At this point, Ruby was barely able to take out 1% of his total Aura with her sniper rifle shots.
If she used High-Grade Military Dust then he would have the need to be concerned but as it was, the Academy level dust that Ruby used didn't even phase him.
And while Ruby and Yang had shown remarkable improvement in the past month thanks to Pyrrha's training (and his Fruit Juice), his own improvement far outs ripped their own thanks to his various talents and Pyrrha's personal training.
He tried to shield bash Yang but she had learned to not get hit by those and quickly stepped out of the way and then rolled away as he swung his sword at her.
He moved to follow but was intercepted by Ruby who appeared in front of him and swung her Scythe at him.
Instead of dodging or blocking, he allowed the scythe to hit him.
His aura decreased by a few percentages but this was a risk he was willing to take because Ruby was finally within his range.
Before she could react, he caught the handle of her scythe.
Ruby instantly used her Sniper shot to get him to leave her weapon, this shot was instantly followed by a kick to the face which jerked his face to the side she once again tried to free her weapon from his clutches.
It would've worked with anyone else.
It didn't work with him.
With a roar, he swung the weapon and smacked Ruby to the ground.
Credit where it was due, Ruby didn't let go of the weapon and instantly took another shot at him even as her Aura decreased by over a dozen percent from being smacked to the ground.
Unfortunately for her, her Dust rounds were mere mosquito bites to him at this point.
With another roar, he raised Crescent Rose high up in the air, Ruby still holding on to the weapon, and swung it down.
Ruby managed to land on her feet this time but it didn't help her as the power behind the attack brought her to her knees.
He went to raise her to the air once again but had to stop as he felt Yang coming at him from behind, her fist cocked to punch his head off.
He moved to the side and Yang's punch missed him by a few inches.
"What?" he heard Weiss shout from the other side of the room as he had just dodged an attack coming from behind him.
An attack that he should have not have seen let alone dodged with such ease.
He smirked and elbowed Yang in the gut feeling another mosquito bite in his abdomen as Ruby shot at him with Crescent Rose and did her best to get free of him.
He gave her a toothy grin and her face paled.
He raised Crescent Rose in the air and Ruby yelled in panic as he swung her weapon around (and the girl along with it) before finally throwing them both at Yang.
Yang tried to slow down Ruby but she didn't have much success and the both of them went tumbling to the other side of the Arena before finally hitting the wall, sending cracks through the wall.
He heard a buzzing sound and saw Yang's image darken on the screen.
Good. Now only Ruby remained.
Before the younger girl could get her bearings together, he was upon her.
Ruby yelped in shock and pain as he buried his punch in her gut, making her exhale all the air in her lungs.
She didn't let that stop her and tried to punch him with her feeble fists, her weapon finally out of her hands.
He ignored her punches and hit her with the flat of his sword.
Ruby hit the ground and went tumbling down for a while before she finally came to stop.
Not hearing the buzzing sound, he quickly went to her and kicked her in the stomach, sending her flying to the other end of the arena where she broke through the wall and went out of the Training Room.
A buzzing sound rang in the room and he grimaced.
He might have… overdone it a bit this time.
