Sudden Order

Once they found a hotel, no one was idle and went to check the place for people or mutants. There were only a few and they dealt with those things easily using their weapons since they had exhausted most of their abilities.

It was only Mu Qingqing and Lilian Mo who were still able to use their abilities.

They decided to stay on the second floor which was cleaner than the rest of the floor. There were also a few rooms that were locked and were only dusty. Mu Qianmo opened those rooms using his metal ability, molding a few metal pieces into keys that could fit in the lock.

"Brother Qian, you are amazing. We won't worry about looting places anymore." Fu Yangzhu praised, looking at Mu Qianmo with a gaze that was filled with flattery.

Mu Qianmo merely laughed. "Yangzhu, what room have you chosen?"

"Ah, I don't care. Any room is fine as long as I can lay down! I am deadbeat!" He said before choosing a random room but when he saw that the Boss had chosen a room farther from him, he changed his mind and picked a room closer to the Boss.

Mu Qianmo shook his head at him but was very considerate.

When everyone had chosen a room on their own, they began to clean the area where they would be staying. Lilian Mo burned the dead bodies of the mutants she killed.

"Momo! I want to share a room with you! It's been so long since we've slept in the same room! It would also be safer, right?" Mu Qingqing suggested, hugging Lilian Mo's arm like a koala.

Lilian Mo naturally could not refuse and was very doting towards the little girl.

"Big sister Mo! I also want to sleep in the same room as you!" Lin Jiaojiao said with a look of envy. "And Xiao Ji can stay, too. Right? We can't leave him alone."

Zhang Youji shyly looked at all the big sisters around him and felt a little embarrassed.

"We need to ask him first." Lilian Mo said since the child might feel overwhelmed sleeping in the same room filled with women.

"Xiao Ji, do you want to sleep in the same room with the rest of the beautiful big sisters?" Lin Jiaojiao said, unashamedly including herself as one of those beautiful big sisters.

Zhang Youji blushed and was a little shy. He did not know how to answer.

On one hand, he did not want to separate from these big sisters who were very nice to him but he also knows that it was not appropriate for boys and girls to stay in the same room.

Lilian Mo was able to tell what he was thinking and was quick to inform the girls. "Come. I'll take you to one of the guys." She offered.

Zhang Youji heaved a sigh of relief and looked at the two other big sisters with an apologetic look in his eyes before he ran off to catch up with Lilian Mo. The two girls were disappointed but they didn't push the matter.

Lilian Mo went to find Mizuki Rei while Zhang Youji followed her.

Zhang Youji paused when Lilian Mo stopped walking. He looked at her slim back that was shrouded with mystery. She turned to him, crouching down so that they were eye level with each other.

"Xiao Ji, if you ever encounter a woman with a scar on the left side of their face, you must remember not to show your ability to them. Otherwise, you'll experience the same routine over and over again."

The same routine over and over again...

Zhang Youji swallowed.

"In fact, for your own safety, don't tell anyone about your ability or they might try to use you."

Zhan Youji's whole body trembled and his grip on the crystal core he was holding became tighter. "Okay, Big sister Mo... And thank you for your help."

Lilian Mo nodded.

When she found Mizuki Rei's room, she knocked on the door and waited for him to open it. As soon as Mizuki Rei saw her, he made a face, obviously not wanting to see her so soon.

"Xiao Ji doesn't want to stay in a room full of girls so you take care of him." Lilian Mo took out a few children's clothes from her space and dumped them on his hands.

"Help him clean and change. Also, don't scare him or I'll tell Qingqing." She warned before leaving.

Mizuki Rei was dumbfounded by this sudden reque---this sudden order! He looked at the child that was his new responsibility.

He felt awkward. They gazed at each other for a few seconds.

"Little kid, come inside. My name is Mizuki Rei. You can call me Big brother Rei if you want." He offered, trying to sound less roguish.

"Big brother Rei." Zhang Youji repeated, following him.

Lilian Mo went back to the room where the girls were staying and closed the door.

She opened the bathroom and tried to check it for water but there was none so she had no choice but to get water from her space.

Lilian Mo opened the bathroom cabinets for any supplies and found some soap, shampoo, and conditioner. She first checked them for an expiration date before deeming them safe to use. She used her ability to heat up some hot water to fill the bathtub before calling for Mu Qingqing.

"Take a bath first. I will prepare tonight's dinner." She said.

"Big sister Mo, can I also take a bath?" Lin Jiaojiao asked, feeling sticky from sweat.

Lilian Mo nodded. "When the little girl is done, I'll prepare some hot water."
