Chapter 8

Ahri stares at Eren who just blanks out at the sea. His eyes were hollow,devoid of any life in them. She has been seeing this expression o his face way too many times. The first time she knew all was not right was when the whole Levi drama began. She did not realize how grim the situation was until her own powers awakened.

Not too long ago, the Los Angeles authorities contacted Eren and informed him that he would finally be given his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame, his biggest childhood dream.

As if that wasn't enough, the organizers of the Animex Awards are giving him his long overdue Lifetime Achievement Award. Yet Eren does not want to accept it due to his dark past. He feels that someone like him does not deserve it.

She takes his hand and comes closer to him. "Eren please stop being hard on yourself." she says in the most gentle tone she could muster.

"I am a monster Ahri.." She was taken aback by his words. He then turns to her, trying to fight back tears. "I caused all of this. If I hadn't decided to destroy the world back then, a lot could have been avoided. In fact Mamoru, Natsu and Kirito would still be here with us."

"You did not kill them."

"My past actions did. You deserve better than a psycho like me." It was then that Ahri lost it. "What do you mean by that?! Eren regardless of your flaws, I love and will always love you!!"

Eren was shocked by her words. He never thought that she would say such. If anything, he expected her to dump him. Instead she is standing by him.

She then gives him a big hug. "What you did was wrong not doubt about it. But at the same time, quit punishing yourself." It was at that moment that Eren begins to break down in tears. She just sighs and rubs his back. "You are loved regardless of your flaws. That is why you became a hero isn't it? To make amends?"

Eren thinks about that. Now that he thinks about it, he wanted to be a hero initially because he always respected other heroes and wanted to be like them. Now, he wishes to make amends for his past and help others whether it was by kicking supervillain butt or through his music.

"I have some unfinished business." he says as he wipes his tears. Ahri beams at this. "That's the spirit."

At that moment, his signature smirk lights up his face. "The King is back."

Weeks later, the surviving members of Aogiri host a Instagram. "Guess who's back guys?!" Kaneki says. Lelouch gestures at Eren who joins the rest of the gang.

"Wassup bitches!" Eren yells and waves at the camera. The Internet shuts down once Eren comes on-screen. Soon thousands of comments start flooding in, giving the boys Eren especially a lot of love and support.

Eren reads some of the comments and sheds tears of joy. "Aww I missed you all so much. I apologise for making you all worry. Thank you all so much for your love and support. I was made to think that I was worthless and undeserving of love. Someone special made me realize how much I am loved and how much I miss performing."

The fans began to suspect Ahri. "Ahri is the ideal woman for him." says one fan. "See?! Told y'all that Foxy would straighten him out."

"Let's go old school." says Izuku. Eren nods and says, "1,2,3..." "Hello world!! We are Aogiri!!" all 6 boys say together and give a bow.

"Now that we have sorted out the formalities, let us get to the elephant in the room." says Lelouch.

The others turn to Eren like old times who simply smirks and announces "Guess who is finally getting the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Animex Awards this year?!"

The world enters a meltdown once that announcement was made. Aogiri itself got that same award and were the inaugural recepients. All of them have gotten the award individually. Well everyone except Eren.

"That's not all!!!" says Ichigo. "Eren is also getting his star on the Hollywood walk of fame." says Light. The rest of the band applaud their leader who gives little bows.

"This year is gonna be lit guys!! More music from all of us." says Eren. "The Kings are back bitches!!" says Light. "Oh and we are bringing back an old concept that I am sure some of you know of. A concept that we debuted with."

The fans cheer once they hear this wonderful news. "They are back!!" one fan comments. "Wait..concept? Could it be that sci fi concept that they debuted with? Or the cat burglar one?" another adds. "Wait...it could be that sci fi one." says another fan.

Ahri watches this with a smile. She is glad that she spoke some sense into him. She feared that he was going to take his life again and had to stop him.

Only three people were bitter about this and they were none other than Levi, Mikasa and Armin. "Enjoy that spotlight while it lasts. Just know that you are all washed up and no one loves you. Not even that fox slut." Levi mutters to himself.

"What made you guys want to come back together?" Lois asked. She and Clark were interviewing the boys and it was being live broadcasted via social media and also on TV. All six of them stare at each other with smiles on their faces.

"I can answer that." Eren replies. "Go ahead." says Clark. "The truth is, we miss each other and miss being a band. In fact we are more than a band. We are family. We have been together for this long and this year marks our 10th anniversary so it makes sense to celebrate it in the best way possible by debuting new music and performing like old times. I mean, I am kind of out of shape compared to these five."

Everyone laughed at that joke. Eren is back to being his good old self. "He's right. We have all been busy doing our thing and the general question we keep getting asked is "When are you guys gonna record an album together?" So this is our response." says Kaneki.

"It is great that you are all back together because I remember when you were all little kids and Eren here was pretty loud and outspoken." Clark says. Eren just shrugs. "Times have changed. I am a big boy now."

"Now the new music that you are recording, any hints about it?"

"It's a secret for now because we want to surprise everyone." says Izuku. "We did kind of let it slip that it is an old concept that we were using initally but we discarded it because the label execs kept telling us that it would not sell." says Light. "Yeah right." Ichigo chimes in, earning some laughs from the others. The fans laughed at this as they saw it as them dissing their former label.

"Have you guys been communicating with each other during your hiatus?" They all nodded. "Yeah but Eren mostly kept to himself." says Lelouch. Eren has a cute sheepish grin on his face. Lois and Clark know the real truth since Clark is Superman but they are not one to expose others like that.

"The truth is I blamed myself for the deaths of our bandmates Mamoru, Natsu and Kirito and the vote rigging scandal even though I was unaware about that. I...I am the leader and I guess I took too much responsibility." He has a sad smile on his face. Kaneki and Lelouch both rub his back.

"It is not your fault Eren. Please don't blame yourself." said Clark. Lois got up and gave Eren a nice hug. That alone earned respect for the two interviewers.

"On a lighter note, the four of you-" She points at Eren, Lelouch, Kaneki and Ichigo who were all ironically seated in the middle," -used to be chart rivals and now you are bandmates."

"Surreal right?" says Kaneki. "I still find that weird." says Lelouch. "Rivals? Us? Nah!!" says Ichigo. "We love and respect each other so nope." says Eren.

"What is the funniest rumour you have heard about each other or the group?"

"That we are Martians." says Izuku, making the others laugh. "That's a good and creative one though." says Light. "Agreed." says Eren. "My favourite one is that I and Mamoru apparently stole money from the Central Bank." says Lelouch.

Clark and Lois cracked up at that one. "What?!" says Lois. "Yup. We saw it in one of the teen magazines then. I wonder whose idea that was." says Ichigo.

"There's another one and that is that Lelouch is the Queen of England's grandson." says Izuku. "I am not people!" says Lelouch. "Oh and there is one that Eren sprayed fake dollar bills in a nightclub." says Kaneki. "So untrue and if I did, I would have been jailed by now." says Eren. "Oh and there was the one that Eren has bad baby odour and bad breath." says Izuku. "So untrue I tell ya." says Eren.

"Then there are the plastic surgery rumours." says Clark. "Those ones?! They throw that at every single idol at there. Ahri most especially and I hate that!!" says Eren. Fans were happy to see Eren publicly stand up for his girlfriend who smiles happily at his comments. Yes sassy Eren was making a comeback.

"Speaking of rumours, there were stories about you cheating on Levi." says Clark. The other members stare at their leader who has the smuggest look on his face, which did not go unnoticed by Ackerman stans and the Ackermans themselves.

"Since you have so generously given me this platform, I might as well use this opportunity to clear things up." He sighs and then continues. "First and foremost,I have never and will never cheat on anyone I have dated. Secondly, the two Ackermans are not as they seem. They have a literal foothold on the entire industry which is why the two Ackerman kids get whatever they want handed to them on a silver platter."

"For those of you that are unaware, I started out in a group called 3LX which only lasted for like 3 months and then we disbanded and I had to start all over again. Sure the Rap Game which was where I met Kaneki, helped launch my career but at the same time, I worked for that opportunity."

"Now, Levi and I had chemistry, no doubt about that. But let me get something clear, our relationship was toxic right from the start. He was emotionally, physically, mentally and verbally abusive towards me. That was why during Living in Trost, Zeke always warned me about Levi. He saw the danger signs."

"Since I was like the top idol then, Levi saw me as an opportunity to gain more fame and steal most of the opportunities often handed to me and boy did he do that." Jaws dropped at Eren's statements. A lot of fans were already suspicious of the then It couple. Now it all begins to make sense.

Lois gasped as soon as she hears all this whilst Clark has a stunned look on his face. "That bastard would beat me up every single fucking day and say that it was love. You wanna know the most disgusting part? The bitch was busy fucking Mikasa and Armin behind my fucking back. I caught them when I went to meet Levi in the hopes of making it up with him after he dumped me."

Immediately, the entire Internet begins to cancel the Ackermans and Armin for their disgusting actions. "I CANNOT BELIEVE EREN WENT THROUGH ALL THAT!!" Reiner tweeted. "Fuck those Ackermans. Used to think Mikasa was attractive but this makes me hate her the more." Jean also tweeted. "Why did we allow those bitches to manipulate and blind us?! Eren deserves better!!" Connie tweets. '"JUSTICE FOR EREN." Sasha also tweets.

The rest of the AOT cast come forward and show Eren support and condemn the Ackermans and Armin. "I am glad Eren finally saw the light." says Annie. "Disgusting. Totally utterly disgusting." says the other Ymir. Historia then posts, "Ackermans=" and then puts the puke emoji next to it. "FUCK THE ACKERMANS!! WE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ACKERMANS!!" Gabi posted.

The Hetalia cast was not left out and also gave their support. "I knew that that Mikasa was a shady ass bitch and that Levi was not all that he appeared to be. Eren drop that diss track right now" Ciel tweeted. "I agree. Eren where is that diss track?" Sebastian tweeted. "I knew something was off with those two mongrels the moment I saw them on Living in Trost. Disgusting." Gilgamesh tweeted.

Usagi's tweet was the most touching of all. "He needs our love and support right now. Everyone show him your support. Nobody deserves to be abused and treated like trash like that. Everyone deserves to be loved and respected. Everyone show your support for Eren by posting #JusticeforEren #WeStandByEren". Soon #JusticeForEren and #WeStandByEren begins to trend as more people come forward to give him their support.

"That's not all. Mikasa confessed to being the architect behind the assassin that shot Ahri at the Animex awards about 13 years ago. Yet she went away scotfree." People were shocked to hear this. "Wait...so that Ackerman bitch did that to Ahri?!" Sasuke tweeted. "WHAT?!" Grimmjow tweeted. Seraphine gasped at that one. #JusticeForAAhri soon starts trending with people demanding that the Ackermans, Mikasa in particular go to jail for that.

Ahri herself was aware afterall she slapped a lawsuit on the Ackermans but it got dismissed. "Maybe now would be a good time to re-open the case."

"They must re-open that case and throw that bitch into the slammer!!" says Jason. "I concur." says Damian. "How could she have gotten away with that?! And poor Eren!" says Stephanie. "She must go to jail!!" says Dick. "Not just her. Levi too because if he could be sleeping with his sister, then he is certainly an accomplice." says Tim. Bruce then smirks. "Oh that can be arranged..."
