The Incident

Deku, the symbol of peace. I admire him more than anyone. But you can't always count on hero's to save your life.

My name is Daiki Nakamura. I'm Quirkless, but I wasn't always quirkless, so I don't really mind.So far nobody has found about me not having a quirk except my dad, mom, and my two brothers. As long as I'm living I'm fine. But then there was the one day I thought differently.

School was horrible. In just a year I would be in highschool. Even if I don't have a quirk I'm aiming for UA high, and even if everybody finds out I don't have a quirk I'm not going to let that stop me.

I was in English when the teacher started asking the class questions about what hero school we wanted to go to. Just by my luck he decided to call on me first.

" What school do you plan on going to Nakamura?," he asked.

" I don't know," I lied.

" Are you sure?," he looked at a piece of paper, " It says here you want to go to UA."

" UA? Ha! He's probably not even fit for UA. What's your quirk anyways?," A boy with light blue hair asked.

His name was Hijiri Sato. I called his quirk Daggers. His hands can become that shape and as sharp as any pointy weapon.

I stayed quiet for a while thinking of what to say next. There was no point in me making up some quirk that didn't exist in my body. The class would probably ask me to show it off. So I did the thing that completely spilled my secret: I stayed quiet.

" Wait," Hijiri said, " You don't have one do you?."

There was a moment of silence. Then the whole class burst into laughter. The teacher tried to settle them down.

" Wow! It should've been obvious from the start. I thought you at least had some type of special gene in your body. What a surprise!"

I wanted to punch the Sato right there but I knew it wouldn't work.

Good thing the bell rang and stopped my embarrassment. I started to pack my things and get out of the school building as fast as I can.

When I got outside Hijiri pushed past me with his 3 goons behind him and called me something that completely shut me down: A quirkless loser.

To everything even more dramatic it started to rain. I didn't think people would find out that way or that quick. As I was walking home I clenched my fists in hatred, sadness, embarrassment, ect. Then I heard this voice from an alley.

" Bad day at school?," The voice asked. The voice was almost like a whisper but louder and creepy.

I looked in the alley. When I looked Nobody was there. So I just kept walking. That's when I heard the voice again

" You know," The voice said, "The way the world treats us is unfair. Think about it."

That was the last I heard of the voice. Honestly, that made my evening feel worse than it already was.

As soon as I got home I took of my shoes, flopped down onto the couch and turned on the news. It's always the same thing everyday. Some villain shows up and then some hero shows up and saves the day. Sometimes it makes me think the heroes are just doing it for shows. Oh my god did I really just say that? I can't let some bad day bring down my spirit.

I noticed something weird: My father wasn't home from work from work. Then I heard a loud boom a short distance from my apartment.

I did the most idiotic thing that came to my mind. I put on my shoes, my blue denim jacket and went outside towards the noise.

The noise came from the bank my dad works at. Half of that street was on fire. i wanted to run into that bank even if I knew I would probably end up like burnt toast.

The pro heroes said that three of the top ten heroes were already on it but they didn't seem to be making much progress in my eyes. It was only getting worse.

When I saw what caused this damage my fear level went to one hundred.

It was a monster. It had a long tongue dark red eyes, and the body of a a giant lizard. In his left hand was a limp body. It was my dads.

I did what the heroes didn't want me to do. I ran at the creature yelling, kicking, and screaming for him to let my father go. The monster swatted me away like a fly. That caused pain in my left arm. When I thought my father was going to die I got extremely lucky. A gust of wind went past me. I saw a figure send a powerful kick towards the monsters torso sending it flying into the already on fire bank.

That was the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
