" Alright, everybody on the plane," Ikutoru leaded. " I swear if any of you play around on the plane or even make us crash-which won't be a problem for me personally-I won't hesitate to torture you with educational videos."
The rest of the class whined while Akio said, " I mean that won't be too bad."
" Cut the fake act man," Tadashi told him. " Secretly I know this would be your worst nightmare so quit playing goody two-shoes!"
" You're so disrespectful, Tadashi!," Akio exclaimed.
" One more word out of a living being's mouth and I'll suck the blood out of each and every one of you," Ikutoru sneered. " Bad enough I already have personal problems of my own."
We all boarded the plane and took a seat. It wasn't long before I fell asleep and saw something else.
There was boy about my age, maybe one year older. His back was turned to me. He didn't have a shirt on and his skin was pale. There was blood dripping off of the counter his arms were on and he was chuckling like a maniac. Then he turned to me. His eyes were blood red. and there was blood coming from the corner of both sides of his mouth to his cheek bone.
" What the hell are you looking at?," he sneered.
I woke up nearly jumping out of my seat.
" Bad dream?," Hijiri asked. " Wanna talk about it?"
I turned to his seat across from me, " No, sorry for waking you."
" What if the dream was about One For All," Hijiri mentioned. " Or maybe it has something to do with a problem in the future, eh, chosen one?"
" I don't think that was it," I said. " It was something different, just a normal nightmare."
" Suit yourself," Hijiri turned his back to me.
I went back to sleep and woke up later.
" Are we there yet?," I questioned.
" Yes, actually," Cora said. " It's about four PM here ,we left Japan at ten o' clock so yeah. The time lines are different here. You may get confused with some of the slang here. There are some things about New Yorkers you wanna know before you speak. One why drive when you can get a taxi-even though they are way overpriced. Two, the pizza here is great if you go to the right place. Three, love to curse up a storm. A Four, most of us are very nice people."
Tadashi ran out of the plane as soon as the doors opened, " Fear not Ladies, your savior is on his way!"
" Alright everyone get your bags and follow my lead outside. You'll be taken to the pace you will be staying and...another special guest. Today a special, now the No. 9 hero, Heat Launch, is coming back from retirement,"Ikutoru told us.
" Can you repeat that sir?," I questioned. " W-I'm sorry but my brother is currently in the hospital."
Nope, Hiroshi wasn't. He stepped right in front of my class, " Apparently he's not."
I stared at him in confusion and then I felt my face grow hot, " WHAT THE HELL DO YOU APPARENTLY YOU'RE NOT! I WAS TOLD THAT YOU SHOWED NO SIGN OF WAKING UP FROM YOUR COMA! I WOULD'VE BEEN NOTIFIED IF YOU DID WAKE UP! HOW ARE YOU EVEN WALKING?!"
" Daiki, chill!," Riki told me. " It's obvious that he's here to lead us through this program. And he obviously wanted to surprise you!"
" I-Did you forget that the last time you cam to visit me I was actually awake?,"Hiroshi questioned.
" I guess that dream really is getting into my head...," I mumbled.
" Sorry about that," I apologized. " Wait what's your actual reason for being here?"
" One is that you're all going to be taught how to fly and two I'm just watching your every move. Here you'll help out with small problems around the city," Hiroshi told us
" What do you mean fly?," Akito asked.
" Like actually flying. In your second year of UA your class will most likely be one of the two to be involved in the W.H.A program. You'll be in the air half of the time during this program. I won't tell you what it stands for yet though. But don't say I told you. I know flying may not be a choice for half of your quirks so you'll most likely stay on the ground," Hiroshi replied. " Let's go, class 1-D!"
I didn't expect the hotel we were staying at to be so close. It's pretty odd but the name of it was " The St. Regis".
" Oh, finally!," Akiri chimed. " We can have a life filled with luxury!"
" Don't get too excited," I said. " I'm pretty sure the manager will not hesitate to kick us out as soon as we break or mess up a single piece of furniture.
" Oh by the way, since there are currently nineteen of you and there are thirty rooms on each floor, you have the whole sixth floor. Me and Heat Launch will also be staying on that floor so no funny business," Ikutoru warned. " Also listen to your class rep."
" I guess we can go ahead and get our room number at the front desk, let's go guys," I told everyone. " I guess I'm in charge for now."
On my card it said the number six seventeen. When I took my card the lady at the front desk gave me a shady look. Like I was some type of outlaw. As I was getting settled inside of my excited yelling in the halls.
" LET'S GOOOOO!," Tadashi yelled. " CITY TOUR!"
I stepped outside of my room, " Why are we yelling?"
" CORA'S GONNA LEAD A CITY TOUR!," Tadashi informed me. " LET'S GOOOOO!"
Makato stepped out of his room, " No reason to be so loud. Some people are trying to sleep."
" What are you a bat?," Tadashi questioned. " What type of human being sleeps during the day time?"
" Well, this is a super human society," I mentioned. " Maybe his quirk requires him to sleep during times when the light shines brightest."
" That's not it at all," Makato said quietly. " I just never get any sleep. Even if it's quiet I have a condition that causes me not to sleep. But it's worth trying."
I ran over to Makato and put my arm around his shoulder, " Well then, come on Makato! You don't wanna waste this moment do you? Come spend time with your friends! Or friend if you prefer that I'm closest to you in this class."
I saw Makato's face begin to turn bright red.
" Huh?," I uttered. " Why are you so flustered? Did I say something wrong."
Makato removed my arm from him and stepped up to the front where he was facing everyone.
" L-LEt's hear it!," he yelled. " CITY TOUR!"
" CITY TOUR! CITY TOUR!," everyone cheered.
" Why does Makato act so weird around me?," I asked Cora. " He's normally so quiet around people and doesn't want to be bothered. Then half of the time whenever I compliment him or try to shift him into a good mood he acts so...like I said, flustered!"
" Mmmmmm, I probably know the answer if I look into it more but sorry. I'll ruin the whole mood if I tell you anything," Cora shrugged.
" If you say so," I muttered.
When we got outside Cora named a whole bunch of places we could visit.
" Since it's about six o' clock we can maybe get something to eat!," Cora perked. " Oh, but before we do that you guys can go ahead and exchange some of your yen for US money. Oh-the brooklyn bridge is also amazing. We can go there. The lights are so pretty at night! OH, and maybe tomorrow if we're not too busy with all the hero work we can go and meet my parents and maybe a friend of mine! There's also six flags! It's in New Jersey which is about I would say maybe thirty to forty minutes from here depending on the traffic and where you currently are. What time is curfew?"
" Well, Ikutoru didn't give us a certain time so I would say no curfew. But, I know best and since I am in charge I would say eleven o' clock," I said humbly.
" Oh, please!," Tadashi scoffed. " We all know that you're probably up with Nori every night doing the-OW!"
" Betsu no kotoba ga kimi no kuchi kara detara Todoroki Ta chūcho sezu nyūyōku made kite kimi no o shiri o keru!" Nori sneered as she pulled on Tadashi's ear.
"HE WOULDN'T LAY A FINGER ON ME!," Tadashi yelled back.
" DON'T YOU TEMPT ME, LITTLE BOY! I'LL DO IT MYSELF IF I HAVE TO!"
" I expected her to cuss more," Cora admitted.
" You understand japanese?," I questioned.
" I stayed in Japan for a year and I'm here right now with no problems. What do you think?," she asked me.
" Oh, It's just..you weren't very fluent the last time we met," I chuckled.
" I don't wanna talk about that," Cora mumbled.
[ One Hour later]
" I don't like the night...," Akito said.
" Yeah...in Japan I bet you can see the stars better. It's not just clouds blocking the view, it's just things like smoke and polluted air," Cora told us. " Trash everywhere on the streets. You know there's mainly homeless people on the street because the rich greedy humans take over and raise the rent. I wouldn't really recommend living in New York for most of your lifetime. But if you look at the small things it's not all that bad. People of many races can come and live here. Most people will accept you for who you are and some just won't accept you at all. But hey let's look on the bright side. The food is ok right? I mean I would prefer Japanese recipes."
" Meh, it's ok," Tadashi said. " Though I would prefer food from back at home...sadly I don't think I'll taste anything as great as Yuu's cooking ever again if he doesn't come back to us."
" Yeah...," I agreed.
" Wait, you're talking about Yuu Hogo, or the other name he calls himself," Cora questioned.
" Yeah, he left I would say a month ago...It's really cold here," I tried switching the conversations.
" But hey, let's try to keep a positive vibe here ok?," Tadashi suggested. " It's fall here and it's almost winter. And you all know winter is my favorite time. For reasons of course. Not just because of my birthday."
" I think I would prefer fall," I added. " You, Cora?"
" None," she said.
" How do you like none?!," Nori exclaimed. " You would just rather have no weather? And I doubt that's even a thing."
" I-I don't know. Winter is too cold, summer is too hot, Spring is allergy season, and Autumn...too many leaves on the ground. So if I had the choice I would go with anything but those."
" She has a point," Yuki agreed.
" Cora, it seems like you like it here at your home a lot," Akito mentioned. " Are you sure you're willing to stay in Japan away from here?"
" Yeah," Cora replied. " Even if it's a great place, I sometimes need a break from everything."
