Calvary Arrives

Cathy is sprawled out on the floor. Lying there in stillness and peace. Completely lost in the comfort of releasing her pain. She hears the sound of tea trays complemented by light footsteps drawing closer from a distance.

She feels alarmed as the telephone still lies in her hand. They catch her with the telephone and she will undoubtedly get sedated again. She cannot let that happen, not after the phone call she had just made a few minutes ago. The call that night just get her out of hell.

Trying to get the phone away, she moves quickly, ducking under the glass reflection part of the entrance door to end up on the other bed under which she found the phone.

She puts it back in its place then ducks under the glass door again to land on her bed as the light footsteps draw much closer. She feels relieved. Relieved but nervous.
